Goldenblaze looked at his brother for a moment, then mewed, "Were you waiting to talk to Snowpelt?" Since they were right outside of the elder's den, that was his best guess.
Once Moonpaw was gone, Mistypaw turned her attention to Snowpelt again. "Have you ever fought a battle against WindClan?" She was curious about the number of battles the white elder actually took part in.

Bramblethorn looked at Snowpelt then to Goldenblaze, "Just listening in on one of mother's stories." He answered turning his attention to Breezetail who was probably waiting for them.
Snowpelt rose her head from on her paws with a smile, "Yes when I was a newly made warrior." She meowed shaking her head. "But not against them, ThunderClan fought with them to get rid of Redstar of RiverClan." The elder looked back at the other elders who had finished the prey and were chatting among themself.

 (Moon is a gray and white tom x3) Moonpaw paddled around seeing the other apprentices going on a patrol tilting his head in wonder if he had any patrols today he then began to run to Hollystar meowing for her to hear his small voice. "Hollystar~! do you need me today?" He stood there ears twitching waiting for her response

Goldenblaze looked back at Snowpelt and felt a wave of longing to listen to her again like he did when they were kits. "Figures. Want to tell me them during the patrol?" He asked, turning to go back to Breezetail and the others. "Also, are you going to bring your apprentice with you?"
That got Mistypaw's attention real fast. "Redstar? Was he a bad leader? How did ThunderClan and WindClan end up working together?" She asked in a rush, wanting to know more about this battle against RiverClan in which ThunderClan and WindClan joined forces.
Hollystar purred. Moonpaw was so energetic for one so young. Padding down the rocky ledge, she came to the clearing and her apprentice. "Of course. For the morning, we're going to focus on hunting, then at sun high battle training, and at sun set, we're going to do some night tracking. Are you up for that, Moonpaw?"
Waking up with a start, Tigerpaw realized that he was about to miss the dawn patrol again. Cursing, he scrambled to his paws, and slipped out the apprentice's den to see, to his relief, that Goldenblaze didn't leave him again. I hope Mistypaw doesn't ruin this patrol for me like last time, he thought bitterly, remembering how his littermate upstaged him last time they were on a patrol together.

Moonpaw nodded in a purring looking to his mentor as his tail swayed. "Yeah~! I am ready for it." Even if this small tom was pass his kit years deep down he was still a kit he smiled looking to his mentor waiting for her instructions he would do anything to get out from the Clan's territory.

"We are going to be on a hunting patrol with Nightbreeze and Gingerpaw, Squirreltail, and Peachblossom. Leaf-bare is drawing in, so we need all the prey we can get." Hollystar mewed, looking out at the warrior's den as her brother Squirreltail slipped out and padded to them. She also saw Gingerpaw glaring in the direction her brother Tigerpaw went in from the entrance of the apprentice's den. He must have woken her up as she left the her den to join Hollystar, Squirreltail, and Moonpaw.
"Hey Moonpaw. Did you sleep well last night?" Squirreltail yawned as Gingerpaw sat next to the gray-and-white apprentice.
"It's too early to be up." The ginger apprentice mewed, leaning against Squirreltail as she dozed off a bit.

Moonpaw's ears twitched hearing the other cats wake up meowing his response, "I don't really sleep at night I watch the moon." He purred hiding why he really stays up at night as he looked to Gingerpaw purring in greeting. "I see you slept well," He was only teasing knowing how tired she was.

Bramblethorn looked at his brother before back to Snowpelt, "Of course I will." He meowed watching his mother begin the tale of Redstar again with a sigh wanting to be a kit again but turned away. "Yes, I'll give her a bit since shes listening to the Redstar story." He flicked his tail as he noticed Tigerpaw was awake, "You're apprentice is awake."
Snowpelt let a purr of amusement out before nodding to the kit's question, "Redstar was a evil leader. He use to kill innocent kits or apprentices he found unfit to become a warrior." She said closing her eyes remembering the tom's red burning eyes that gave him his name.

Gingerpaw snapped awake when she heard Moonpaw's voice. "More like not enough. You're noisy when you stay up, Moonpaw."
"Now, now, he was only being kind." Squirreltail mewed, but she only yawned in response.
"Whatever. Where's Peachblossom and Nightbreeze? I want to leave."
(Yes, she's Bramblethorn's apprentice.)
Mistypaw shivered at hearing the RiverClan leader's description. "He just sounds scary the way you describe him, Snowpelt." She could easily imagine a big tom with blazing red eyes like fire.
"So it would seem." Goldenblaze murmured as the dark apprentice bounded up to them. "Hello Tigerpaw." He said in a quiet voice.
"Ha! You're not leaving me behind this time!" His apprentice said too loudly for the morning.
"It's not leaving behind if you were never awake." The apprentice puffed his chest, ready to protest, but Breezetail's voice cut him off.
"Tigerpaw, lower your voice, it's too early to be this loud. And come on, we're about to leave." He saw the leader's son give him a stern look while Yewfang, Tigerpaw's father only shook his head and looked skywards.

Moonpaw blinked looking to Gingerpaw as he mewed his apology for his night time noise. "Oh sorry, I didn't know I was keeping you up." His tone was mixed with a bit of confusion because at night he usually at the Thunderpath or Sunningrocks his ears then twitched hearing Tigerpaw from where he was. "I hear Tigerpaw is finally coming." The gray and white apprentice smiled knowing he wasn't the only one energetic today.

Snowpelt purred again hearing how Mistypaw was probably imaging how Redstar really looked. "Yes, he was as scary as he sounds. Though he is in the Dark Forest because of our old leader Spottedstar who was Spottedfur at the time and the leader was Willowstar." She said almost ranting on about how the old days were, but caught herself seeing Bramblethorn waiting for his apprentice. "Appears you're going on patrol, young one." She mewed before pointing with her tail to her mentor.
((Lol I make good elders xD I can rant on like on, I feel old now D: ))

Gingerpaw snorted. "That's because he doesn't want Goldenblaze to leave him behind for the border patrol this morning." She mewed, thinking of how much Moonpaw worried her when he doesn't come back to his nest for the majority of the night. He was her den-mate and friend, so she worried when he made noise and slipped out of the den for hours on end.
Mistypaw turned her head to only see Bramblethorn, Goldenblaze, and Tigerpaw outside of the elder's den. "Oh. Ah,ha-ha. Hey Bramblethorn. Am I holding up the patrol?" She asked, dipping her head in good-bye to Snowpelt before exiting the den to stand in front of the three toms.

Bramblethorn sat down looking from his brother to his apprentice, who had seemed to notice that he was waiting. "Not really." He meowed being nice about it before meowing a goodbye to Snowpelt who purred as a reply. "Lets get going." He mewed beginning over to Goldenblaze and Tigerpaw.

"Finally!" Tigerpaw mewed loudly as he went over to where Breezetail and Yewfang awaited them.
"Finished talking?" Breezetail asked, tail curling as he looked at the four of them.
'Sorry, it was my fault." Mistypaw mewed as she looked at Bramblethorn, probably feeling embarrassed that she kept the whole patrol waiting.
