MY rusty h a l o

Yael chuckled as Rachel left the door open. The young elf struggled to get up, holding his infected arm and limped out of that crazy bright colored nauseating room.

Then he saw her, drawing blood from her finger and, grabbing a bread knife from the counter, Yael slit his finger as well.
"Then I will make most of my mortal life, mistress." he grinned at her. "You are mine and I am yours. After death, you hold power over my soul." She didn't have to wait long anyways, and Yael, well, Yael had no choice but to submit to her. He gave her his word, and he will follow his words with his heart.

It was a risky gamble for Yael, a gamble he may have chosen to avoided but stubbornly claimed. Holding out his bleeding finger to the woman he took her hand, his touch warm and inviting to her. And he on the other hand, admired how oft her skin was, yet cold. he let her do what was needed to be done for the blood contract.

"No you stupid- uh!" Rachelle grunted and caressed her temple as the doctor walked right past the person he was supposed to be dealing with.
Fine. I'll deal with that later. she thought before her face turned suddenly to the elf boy, instinctively pulling out of his hand she dismissed his words, although the were instantly mentally locked away. For black mail, of course. Why else would she want to remember, she tried to reason with herself before she focused again.

A seal appeared under her feet as a drop of blood fell to the ground, encircling both of them. A drop of his own blood fell, and the seal began to glow vibrantly.
"What do you give?" Rachelle asked, her voice echoing around them. She realized that one of his nature would probably not know of what she spoke. "A piece of yourself. A place to put the seal." she explained, her voice continuing to echo as the seal began to spin. She closed her eyes, pain soaring through her. This was something so simply done, and the longer it took the more pain she would feel.

You can sleep with a gun.
When you gonna wake up and fight for yourself?

Yael took a deep breath, his nerves were racking nervously as the seal appeared below them. This was one of those tight spots that often gets him into trouble. But then again, he can't back out now since he has given his word. Yael looked at Rachelle and she grinned.

"I give you my soul." he replied. His pure soul of light that rests in his pure childlike heart. It was a packaged deal; you take his soul and you get his heart as well since it was an elven philosophy that the two are connected.

As Yael said those words, he felt a certain heaviness in his chest. A gut churning feeling like his soul was being taken from him. Yael felt a pain gasp escape his lips as the feeling became even more painful.

"Wow, this hurts..." he grinned in a pained manner as he looked at Rachelle. "But this agreement means that you get to be mine and I get to be yours for a period of time and then my soul goes to hell after I die right?" he asked. It was a loosing game, but if it means that Yael would have at least a bit of advantage over Rachelle on some matters, then he'll take the risk..

The pain got worse and he dropped to his knees, he was gasping really hard now. Yael felt the black veins on his arm grow longer and crawl a few more centimeters towards the direction of his heart. This agreement with Rachelle was corrupting his soul even more and it was quickening his death process.

"Are we done yet, Rachelle?" he gasped as pain shot through him again. "It's getting painful."

Rachelle cringed, a momentary feeling of foreboding darting into her system as their souls connected. After a flash of pain, which only she would feel, Rachelle fell back, seething silently as the seal shrunk and attached itself to her right eye. She rested her head back, allowing her hair to tumble over her shoulders, as her breath came out in light gasps. She didn't even want to know how the other one took it, but she never bothered to answer his question.

After a moment of panting, she dropped her head forwards,
"If you think that hurts, Sir, you have something to be scared of for when this contract's time comes to an end." she stood, brushing her clothing to eliminate any traces of dust or dirt from her place on the floor. She eyed him wearily; she had done contracts before, that that one felt different; it felt damaged, more painful than any of the previous. She wouldn't bring it up, though. That was his job, now. She licked her lips, hesitating a moment, before she smirked and gave a dramatic curtsy. "Is there anything you wish for, Sir?" she asked, her voice taking on a tone that almost seemed warm, compared to the cool temperature she had given him before. Of course, this was a role she had played many times, and it was easy for her to fall back into it.

Yael also stumbbled backwards as a force knocked him off hsi feet. He wiped the sweat forming on his brow with the tattered long sleeve of his shirt that was covering the poisoned black veins on his arm.

Rachelle the started addressing him sir which he had found odd. He was the slave here... unless.

"Sir--?" Yael began to mutter but then the word broke as his lips cracked into a grin. That must mean...

"Oh, I think I'm gonna enjoy this." he crowed happily. Suddenly, he spread his arms open as he stood up and he threw them around Rachele, pulling her into a warm, tight, radiating embrace. "So this means you'll listen to me, right? You'll do what pleases me and I'll do what pleases you. Correct, mistress?" he whispered into her ears as he held her tighter. He let his hot breathy words trail down the shell of her ear.

"I'll make most of my life now." He smiled painfully, but he burried his face into her dark hair so she would not see. He was in pain yet the situation was in bliss. But for Yael, he decided that it didn't matter as long as Rachelle would be his for a time being. Though the fact that it wasn't forever hurt his heart. "It doesn't matter what awaits me after death. What matters is now and I will treasure it."

"Shall I make you an elven pastry, my mistress?' he then looked into her eyes, brushing his thumb across her cheek. Yael was so close to her... so close that he didn't hesitate and press his forehead against hers tenderly. "I'm not much of a baker, but I can make you a plate of Elven cream puffs."

Yael pulled away from her and stood up. He helped hr up to her feet and lead her to the kitchen as she tenderly held her hand and chattered merrily about how delicious Elven cream puffs are. "They're delicious! I can taech you how to make them too, Mistress."

Rachelle probably believes that Yael would be under contract for an Elf's lifetime which was noramlly 200 years since elves have longer lifespans that most creatures yet are not entirely immortal.
But what she didn't know, was that Yael only had 30 days to live. 30 sunrises, 30 sunsets. One New moon, one full moon and it was set that he will die on the night of the lunar eclipse, a period of time where Elves are in their weakest state. On the day the ink black sky will swallow the moon for a few moments, Yael will enter the miserable hell Rachelle sentenced him in forever.

Rachelle tensed her eyes going wide as he wrapped his arms around her. She didn't, or rather, she couldn't fight against it, so she remained stiff in his arms. The raven-haired girl had to admit, this was a first for her. Most people who formed contracts did it for revenge, violence, hate, or entertainment. Never before had she been hugged by anybody for no reason at all after forming a contract. Normally, it was dramatically worse.

She frowned when he buried his face in her shoulder, but she remained still as this odd love fest continued.
"My Lord, you shouldn't call me 'Mistress' any more. You just reversed those roles." she stated, her voice gentle but matter-of-fact. A slight smile, not quite kind and instead giving an eery appearance addressed those words. "As for what you shall do, it is your choice." she stated, tensing even more when he got too close.

This was all weird. It was gentle, it was caring. Aside from the fact that the contract was the only thing keeping the child alive, Rachelle was curious about this. It was different, it felt weird. She wasn't sure if that was good or bad.
I'm going to have to deal with this for so long; too long. Why me? she couldn't help but wonder, gently untangling herself from the elf boy's grasp. "I'm sure they're delectable." she stated, giving another practiced smile.

MY rusty h a l o

Yael laughed. Being a creature of light, such a lively and carefree emotion would remind someone of a playful breeze. Rachelle was trying too hard and he can see through her fake smile.

"Why so fake?" he asked, pulling a chair for her to sit down on. "You purchased me, yes? Then I still owe you my life. You are still my mistress even if I am your master. No roles are revered, my title was just added." he winked at her.

The young elf got bowls and ingredients out from the cupboards before starting on the baking process. It was a good hour and a half of measuring and failed attempts when finally he pulled out a tray of golden brown morsels from the oven.

"Be careful, they're still hot." Yael said as he placed the tray in front of Rachelle. He was careful not to move too much so that the veins on his arm would not be exposed.
"Try it." he smiled, propping himself against the counter with his elbows, his emerald green eyes watched her. "I promise it's not poisoned."

Yael's time was ticking quickly, he doesn't have much before he dies. There are so many things he wanted to do. So many things he wanted to do with her. So many pleasures he still wanted to experience.
Smiles, laughs, tears and heart beats. But alas, his heart beats are limited.

Yael got two glasses of fruit flavored water from the fridge and placed it for the two of them on the table.
"Rachelle?" he asked. "Why is you hair always on your eyes. Lift them up..." he reached out towards Rachelle's face and pushed back her raven bangs to expose her eyes. "Such obsidian eyes must be exposed!" he chuckled.

It was true, he found them beautiful. He found HER beautiful. Such dark grace and splendor he could not resist. Yael's touch was gentle, yet his over arm ached with a dull pain as every heartbeat pumps the venom filled veins closer to the vital point of his heart.

Rachelle's expression didn't change as he spoke, her eyes only darkening slightly. She looked at the food with a slight frown before she grabbed one and popped it in her mouth. Although her expression still showed 'joy' she really didn't care for the treats; she didn't care for food in general. She only ate it for show, anyways. It wasn't like she needed it. She devoured souls, not human food. It wasn't even that they tasted bad... but like stated, she ate for face only. She continued though, her expression calm and warm as she continued. Even the heat of the food didn't bother her at all; it wasn't like it effected her in the slightest.

She flinched back a moment before she caught herself, remaining still when he pulled her hair from her face. Her eyes sparked with a slight challenge as she pulled back, a smirk falling onto her lips.
"Does my appearance not suit you, sir?" she questioned, a wind beginning to blow inside as her hair straightened itself, reshaping itself to stay off of her pale face. Standing she crossed her arms, raising a noew visible eyebrow. "Does this suit you better, Sir?" she almost teased, giving him a sly smile. Of course, changing her visual appearance was easy, considering her actual appearance is nothing like the human appearance portrayed.
