"I'm Aku!" he replied to Peter quite cheerfully, still smiling. He saw a new girl come up to him and ask what's going on, but the Rune Master he'd waved over had arrived and answered the question for him. Well, it wasn't like he couldn't answer it again.
"Yes! A server event! If you've seen the forums, there was definitely a lot of speculation about something like this happening soon, and here it is! It definitely sounds interesting, especially the rewards. Maybe we'll even gain a trip to Gamas! Say, purple-haired girl, what class are you?" He eyed Claire for a moment and waited for an answer. While he did wait, he turned to Lais, then pointed to Jacob. "He's looking for people to group up with, too. We already have your classes as part of our group, so it'd be kind of redundant to add you two. Buuut, you two can totally work together and find some others that would help you out."
And yet another Alomancer came up to him, asking for a party invite. Boy, was he popular today. Not that he was complaining. Being the center of attention was really fun. "We already have an Alomancer in the party. I would say join these two," he paused to motion to Jacob and Lais, "but they already have an Alomancer, too. What class is your friend? We can probably take her on. You know, as long as she isn't a Rune Master, or an Alomancer, or a Genimancer."
Hearing a shout from a Gunslinger, Aku perked up a bit. They could use one of those. They'd probably be useful with the event and all. "Hey! Gunslinger! Over here!"

Caela was relieved to see someone had finally responded to her. Though, the man did look rather.. brute-ish. She remembered that from the character selection screen. A Beserker? She thought that was it. He did look kind of intimidating, but then she reminded herself that this was just a game and he couldn't really hurt her. Well, he could, but she wouldn't really feel it.
She was about to reply, when a woman came up to them and offered help, too. And made a funny remark about fur underwear (she had to hold back a laugh at that). "Um, well. So, like.. I'm new. I just started out and everything. What am I supposed to be doing, exactly? And there was like.. this announcement about some kind of event tomorrow? What is that about?" she asked both of them, glancing back and forth between the two.

Sooner than she knew it, another gamer answered her question before the white-haired man could. Though, since she still didn't quite understand, this being her absolute first time and all that, it was a good thing Aku emphasized on the situation. Kind of. "Actually... this is my first time... ever... so I didn't even check the forums, to be honest." Well, that was a kinda dorky thing to say. She might as well get "NEWBIE" tattooed to her forehead, now. Quick, ah, no one will want a newbie on a special event... gotta make myself wanted... somehow. "AH, I'm a Holosin... and it's nice to meet you, Aku. I'm Anlu~"
As soon as she said that, she turned to make a little room for the other Alomancer and tilted her head at the 'plus one' comment. What was a plus one? Was that another person... or was it a special object that you had to gain group permission to bring. Hmmmm... she had much to learn abotu the lingo of gamers. Heck, she still has trouble with text talk. Or was it txt tlk? She still didn't know what 'pos' or 'tldr' meant.
She still couldn't find her brother. Now she was regretting having skimmed over some of the instructions for this game-thing. She never learned how to search and find people... Of course, she just HAD to assume he'd find her immediately. Yup... I'm an idiot...

Angel put his hand up when Aku called him. "Yo!" He said in response, and jogged over to where he and a couple others were standing. He extended his hand in greeting to the one who'd called him over. The guy was kind of tall, and the tattoo on his arm was pretty cool. He must have missed that option during character creation. Whatever. He shrugged it off. At least there's no shortage of new players! "Hi! I'm Angel. Angel Devereaux, Gunslinger. Just got these twin Henge's for now, but that'll change, soon enough, once I get a few more credits. What's your handle?"

Feng gave a mildly annoyed glare at the girl who made the 'mountain in fur underwear' comment. He had no intention of starting a fight, but his hand did move to grip the top of his battle axe.
He was then snapped out of that as the other girl finally asked the question, "Well, currently, its all speculation as to what the event is," Feng explained, much calmer than his previous comment, "But we're assuming its some kind of big quest." He added, Feng didn't want to go into any more detail, though, he hated dealing with newbies.

Jacob just kind of waved at the girl that Aku was trying to hook him up with...As part of an adventuring party, of course.
"My name's Jacob Nova," He said, offering his hand to Lais, "I'm an Alomancer."
This was kind of strange, he had partied up with others before, but this would be the first time he was in a party without his sister since she signed up for the game. Well, she could probably handle herself, right.
Arielle listened in on the party invitations, it seemed possible that their group was about to take on another female character, excellent, she hated being the only girl. She then looked over at the gunslinger, cool, those guys were always pretty good to have. She didn't care that she was leaving her brother behind, she didn't sign up for this game to hang out with the guy who, in reality, was sitting about ten feet from her.

Peter watched with amusement as Aku wrangled all the newcomers. "So...you're pretty popular," he said, raising an eyebrow. "Are you some sort of well known guy or something?" Aku didn't really look all that amazing--He had some nice equipment but it wasn't that incredible. Maybe it was just a busy day.
"In any case, anyone who can't find a party here, can always head over to Everfire. It's always busier there than here. Rumor has it all the really hot Holosins hang out there. Just saying."
He was distracted by a girl in a very...tight....leather bikini walked past. He didn't think a rack like that would really do well in anything but a zero-G environment in real life but he definitely appreciated how well it did in Lillend. He also appreciated the sword she was carrying, and the way it was nearly as tall as she was. He wondered if they could get her to join the crew, because he had a feeling watching her wield that thing would be an entertainment unto itself. "Ahem...yes. Right." He looked back toward Aku and the others. "Like I was saying. Stuff. Hi Anlu."
**
"Yup," Guess said, ignoring the ominous hand-to-the-axe-grip maneuver. Haha. Guys like this were so much fun to tease. She hoped he stuck around just so she could do it a few more times. She patted Feng's chest in a friendly way as she smiled at Caela. "Exactly what tall, dark and....whoa...extremely well muscled, said." She gave Feng an appreciative look. He might just be a computer generated simulation but damn, those pecs were amazing.
"No one knows what the event is just yet, but there've been rumors about it floating around the forums for a while now. I guess we'll get to find out what it is tomorrow. I'm Guess by the way. If you want to party up for the event tomorrow, I'm game for that. I don't mind showing a newbie the ropes. It should be fun."

Sam hastily slammed his front door and tore his shoes and messenger bag from his body. "Man, class took longer then I thought, but I'm home and I finally get to play!" He quickly ran to his system and put the game in, turning it on and putting on the accessories. "Alright, let's do this!" He made a fighting pose as he stood there. He had been excited for the game ever since he failed to get in on the beta, but he was finally able to play it. He had studied the classes over and over to determine which one to be, and what his character would look like.
He quickly began to enter in his information and choose his character settings. "Character name: Azura Skye. Class: Holosin. Brown hair, long, ponytail. Black clothes, sleeveless shirt and blue trim. Weapon: Gunsword. That's it, LOG IN!" In an instant, he was there in the game world. It was the most realistic game he had played yet, and couldn't wait to start grouping with others to raise his strength. He began to look around the city, taking in all the people that were there.
"Hi, and welcome to Lillend! Good luck out there!"
A disembodied voice boomed down to Azura, welcoming him to the world. "Well, thank you very much." He mumbled to himself as he started walking around town, gazing at all the people. "I wonder what I should start out doing." As soon as the sentence left his mouth, an announcement was made within the game. "An event huh? Guess my decision was made for me." He smiled as he looked towards the warp gate, where a group of people were standing around, talking.
Azura walked up to them, and began to talk to them. "Excuse me, don't mean to interrupt or anything, but any of you guys need a Holosin for the event? Just started today so I'm not sure exactly how this whole thing works." He gave a grin as he awaited someone to respond to his question.

Avor craned his neck around looking for anyone who looked particularly lost in all the shuffle, correctly guessing that his sister would probably be one. As he was doing that, he overheard Anlu introducing herself to Aku and grinned as he lightly tapped her on the shoulder.
"Hey, sis, it's me. Forget my Username? Or just forget how to do a player lookup?" he figured it was probably the latter. From their conversations before, he knew that she was actually very bright... but she didn't quite have a head for gaming just yet. They could work on that though. While he spoke, he did a quick headcount of the people around especially noting that there were already two Alomancers here.
"We should probably head over to Everfire, like your distracted Alomancer friend there suggested." He said, nodding towards the man standing next to Aku. "Folks here seem to be partying up quickly, and there's already too many Alomancers."

((I'm going to assume Azura walked up to Aku's group in Valemark, since you didn't specify. But if it's wrong, please correct me. ^^))
Aku smiled at Anlu."I'm sure you'll get used to things in no time. It's not that hard to learn the ropes. You could always go through their tutorial later if you think you'd need it," he told her, then turned to Angel, a bit confused. Handle... handle.. handlebars? "Oh! I can totally ride my speedbike with no handlebars! Isn't that awesome? But why would you be asking that? Anyway, a Gunslinger is what we need. A good offense!"
He laughed at Peter's remark, though. "Not really? Maybe I'm just sooo charismatic that people are totally drawn in by my charms and good looks," he said, grinning. "Or maybe it's totally not that at all. Who knows. Anywaaay, Peter is right. Anyone here that isn't partying with me or ah.. Jacob here, should head to Everfire. You'll be able to find a party, no problem."
And then yet another Holosin showed up, and he did look pretty new, too. Though, that was obvious with how he introduced himself. Duh. "Um... Well. You could totally join our party, why not? Though, Anlu was here first.... I mean, it's okay if we have two Holosins, but maybe the party is growing a bit too big. Let's see." He started to count inwardly in his head. There were a definite four in the group. The others around him, he wasn't really sure. This was starting to get a tad confusing, even for him.
This was quickly answered, though, as another person came up and told Anlu that they'd head over to Everfire, claiming to be her brother or something. Well, that settled that! "Okay! Looks like you're free to join, uh.. Holosin! Is it all right if I call you that? Or do you have a name?"
He paused to notice Arielle just standing off to the side, all quiet-like. "Now don't be shy! We're not bad people! Well, I'm not a bad person. I don't know about these other guys. You can totally trust me and open up and the like. But only if you want to, of course!"

Caela listened, glad someone was helping her out. Especially the woman, that had introduced herself as Guess. A weird name, but this was a game right? Names didn't have to make sense, she supposed. "A big quest, huh. That totally seems a bit intimidating," she admitted with a slight sigh. "Party means like.. grouping together right? It'd be awesome if you could show me 'the ropes'. I'm Caela. And Mr. Muscle-guy is...?"
She glanced over at him, looking at the equipment he had on. That axe looked really sharp. And heavy. Definitely heavy. But definitely sharp, too. Caela looked back over at Guess, and didn't immediately recognize her weapon. Maybe it was some sort of fantasy weapon made specifically for this game. Or maybe she was just really bad at identifying weapons. It was likely the latter. "So is Mr. Muscle-Guy going to join us in this group or party or what?" Not that she minded, of course. She was just curious. "Are you sure I won't be like.. weighing you down or anything?"

Feng beamed a little as Guess commented on his physique. Sure it was just a game, and yes his body was just a created template that he didn't actually work to form or maintain, but he still took pride in it.
"I'm Feng Wartooth." Feng introduced himself, looking down at Caela and Guess, "And I have no interest in joining up with you two, I'm a mid-level beserker, you'll just slow me down." He then looked around.
"So, unless you two have anything interesting to say, I'm going to go gather some supplies." Feng then turned in a direction to walk to one of the weapons shops that he frequented here. He was kind of hoping that this group would say something interesting to make him stick around, however, he didn't want to deal with this newbie.

"Well, I appreciate the encouragment." This Aku guy was pretty nice.
Anlu turned as someone tapped her shoulder. Though her smile was instant, her embarassment came just as quickly. "Hey! Ah... no, of course I didn't.. I just, well... yeah... I forgot how to look up players..." As if to try and remedy that, she started messing around with game options, ending up not noticing the continued conversations around her... though her confused facial expressions at trying to work the darn game thing out were showing on her character's face as well as her own.
Ah, well... ignorance is bliss~
Well, she eventually found where to go to find people and her brother was the first on her list. Yup, he was definately Avoir. Hmmm... she should play around with this a little bit, next was Aku.
She couldn't help it. Once you learn to use a new toy, you want to keep playing until you have to go do something else, right? Or was she simply too excited about this whole thing?
"Wha- Everfire?" Where was that, and how would she get there? She glanced over at the Alomancer he was referring to and did the player look up thingy on him. So his username was Peter? "Ah, sure, as long as we get to stick together, I'll go anywhere." She glanced over at the "distracted" Alomaner and then glanced in the direction his gaze was in. Huh... Her back must really hurt... or it would if pain was felt in these games... When his attention was back on his own group, Anlu responded to his greeting with a small wave. "Hello, Peter~"
Now what were they doing now? Oh yeah, going to Everfire, that's right. Anlu latched onto her brother's arm, since the crowds were getting really think now, and she waited for him to lead the way. "I have no clue where we're going or what we're doing, so... after you? I would say age before beauty, but I'm older than you... at least last I checked, I was."

"Well we wouldn't want that, now would we?" Guess said, rolling her eyes as Feng left. She rather hoped he wasn't expecting them to beg because she had no intentions of it. She may not be a 'mid level' anything yet, but she wasn't bad at this game and she already knew better than to party up with those stand offish, angry types. And if he was as good as all that, she was sure he wouldn't have problems finding a crew more to his taste.
"Don't worry about that guy," she said to Caela. "A lot of people don't really like helping out hew people. I think they forget we were all new once. Anyway, I'm sure we can find some other people to crew up with--it's usually not hard here. We just need..at least a healer. And some melee type guys, because I'm better at long distance." She made a face. A berserker would be nice, but preferably one that didn't have such a borked up attitude.
**
((I think Peter is going to wait until someone else talks to him since Aku is having to respond to like...ten people at once. And frankly, I'm not sure who all is even standing nearby anymore. LoL))

(Sorry to kinda rush you along here Rin, trying to get us over to where we need to be as quickly as possible.)
Avor laughed as Anlu attached herself to his arm, nodding in response to her statement about age. "Speaking of beauty, nice choice on going for the surreal look. It suits your goofy sense of humor." He teased, leading her away from the crowd with a small goodbye wave to Peter and Aku.
"Everfire is the largest city in the world of Lillend." He began to explain, steering her towards the warpgate. "There will probably be a lot of players there, and we should be able to find a decent party." He milled over his words, realizing that would probably need some explanation. "A party in this game, is a group of players working towards a common goal. With a group like that we'll be able to get you better equipment and such much faster." By now they were approaching the Valemark Warpgate, the impressive rift that allowed near instantaneous travel across the world.
"This is a Warpgate. It might tingle a bit." He said, chuckling slightly as he pulled her into the gate, bound for Everfire.

((You would be correct Kuro biggrin ))
Azura stood there trying to piece together information from all the conversations that were going on. He started to drift into a daze when someone came up and talked to him. "Really? That'd be great!" He looked around toward the person he had mentioned; Anlu. She was talking to some other players as someone pulled her along into the warp gate. He waved bye to them before shouting. "Good luck and have fun!"
He turned back to the man who was talking to him before. "Ah, my apologies, I never introduced myself. I'm Azura Skye, but Azura is fine. I'm looking forward to grouping with you guys." He smiled as he looked around at the people remaining in the area. "So, what should I call you? Also who else is in the party?"
Azura couldn't wait til they could go on the event, he wanted to get some experience playing the game so that people wouldn't have to put up with him being a noob. He hated being the weakest, but you've gotta start somewhere, right?

Angel opened his mouth to explain that by 'handle' he'd meant to ask the man his name, but the guy was talking so quickly, Angel wasn't sure he'd hear him. Still, he didn't mind being complemented. "Well, thanks! I'll certainly do what I can. So... are you gonna be our party leader.... im sorry, I didn't catch your name."

Anlu skipped along, as her brother directed her towards the warpgate, completing the illusion of her "goofy self." It was fun, after all, and being online meant she had a chance to... well... be herself without a good deal of the restrictions placed upon normal people during the blah everyday life. "I figured it was pointless to make my character look like myself... besides, I look much cuter this way." Oh yeah, who could resist my big, purple eyes? I sho0uld test a puppy face eventually... muahaha~
She was too busy gathering information from her guide when they popped through a warpgate and after a few quick seconds she found herself now in Everfire. "So, is this Everfire? What was the last place we were at?" The pixilated world was quite amazing... it was so vast and creative. She could learn to really like it here... as long as she didn't end up like one of those wierdos that got their real lives mixed with their fantasy ones. "Alright, so a party would be like... you and me, and maybe one or more other people doing soemthing like... fighting a monster or... whatever this event thingy is?" At that moment she wondered if he wanted to do the event. She didn't know what they were like, so she had no opinion on the matter.
