"What?" uttered Scourge as he heard the blast of high powered water coming straight for him.

With his fire barrier still up, it took the water head on, but was not enough to stop it. Scourge held his fists rout at it and launched blasts of fire, impacting the water. Steam then began to engulf the area around them, spreading faster and faster as Nathan held his ground. However, his anger and arrogance got the best of him, and he let out a breath of fire from his mouth to merge with the ones from his fists, creating a massive flamethrower.

Sentinel grinned inside his helmet as the water cut through Scourge's defenses: the high-pressure water stream, with it's constant velocity, cut through Nathan's flamethrower, seemingly to literally punch a hole through it and hit the villain, sending him to impact hard against the wall behind him.

"Sentinel!" barked Mr. Banes' voice through his private comms, "I've gotten a hold of some experimental cryogenic weaponry: a sort of 'anti-flamethrower' that uses liquid nitrogen instead of flammable material. I'm putting in a delivery for you, specifically."

"Can you download schematics to my HUD?" Sentinel asked.

"Done. Read through them to figure out how to use the thing, and keep Mr. Arroyo busy until I can air-drop it to you." Banes said. Sentinel obliged, continuing to fire the water cannon at Scourge while simultaneously scrolling through the holographic schematics on the inside of his visor.

With Scourge pinned down in the building and the water cannon still firing at him, he got up and ran through the room he was in and over to another. Though he didn't seem like it, he was quite fast. The buildings, in the plaza in which they were fighting off in, were all connected. He had to take out that fire truck. He blaster hole after hole in the walls, trying to circle around the fire truck that Sentinel was on.

Finally, he reached the building behind the fire truck and from a window, fired a fire ball at the truck's highly flammable oxygen tanks, igniting the entire fire truck.

Sentinel had stopped firing as soon as he had seen Scourge marker on his HUD move. He followed it, but wasn't fast enough to to stop the fireball that went right for the oxygen tanks. He managed to leap away, but was still blown away by the force of the explosion, hitting a wall.

He growled as he decloaked, and looked up at Scourge. The b*****d had the advantage; he needed that so-called "anti-flamethrower", and he needed it now!

"Package is en route to your location. ETA... 10 minutes." Banes reported, and Sentinel cursed to himself.

Nathan, now calmed down, came out from the building in which he was in. He watched in amusement at the wreckage he cause. His strength was slowly regaining thanks to the heat and warm humid air. He walked several steps inward, about half a mile away from Sentinel.

"I admire your determination to get rid of me," he said in his deep Spanish accent, "God shall grant you a high place for it."

He then summoned up balls of fire from his hands. Using his mastery of his skills, he changed the shape of the fireballs into large disks. He flicked his wrist, sending the disks flying towards Sentinel.

Sentinel braced himself as the flaming discs approached him at a high speed, and when they neared he deftly evaded and hit them with the sides of his hands, sending them veering off their courses and crashing.

"Heads up: ETA sooner than expected... much sooner. ETA to your position is 45 seconds." Banes said. Sentinel nodded, and waited. Scourge wasn't moving, thankfully, as an HC gunship flew overhead behind Sentinel and dropped a small object behind him before immediately turning around and going back the way it came.

Now... let's see what this baby can do... Sentinel thought, turning around.

His jaw dropped.

What he saw was not a flamethrower-shaped weapon: it looked like a pistol!

He picked the contraption up.

"Banes! You said this thing was an 'anti-flamethrower', not some puny, B-movie-looking raygun!" Sentinel fumed.

"I did. I guess the guys at the R&D department tried explaining this thing in laymen's terms; and those schematics must've been some sort of practical joke, or at least an earlier version of what is now the 'XCP-750 Cyrogenic Pulse Pistol'. I'm downloading the real schematics now... Idiots."

"Yeah, thanks." Sentinel said irritably. He hoped Banes fired those numbskulls... and then he looked down at the pistol in his hands: it was about the same size as a Desert Eagle, and according to the schematics there was no recoil or need for an alternate fuel source.

Sentinel was an extremely intelligent man, and he knew that even Heracles Corporation's R&D department couldn't create a a handheld weapon that shot out liquid nitrogen without some sort of large fuel source... and what was more, the schematics he was reading made no sense; they defied all known laws of physics that human science had discovered.

Therefore this pistol was not made with human technology, he concluded.

Still, he decided to test it out: he fired at a burning piece of scrap metal, and what looked like a stream of frozen water (though his HUD identified it as liquid nitrogen) surged out of the tip of the pistol and hit the metal. Slowly, the stuff moved over the metal itself, freezing it solid.

Excellent...

Scourge looked to Sentinel with curiosity, specifically at the strange weapon in his hand. He had an odd feeling about it just by looking at it. He recoiled back a little when he saw the man turn that scorching piece of metal into a frozen solid block. It literally gave a chill up his spine, this was very uncomfortable for him, the bitter cold made his powers utterly useless.

Scourge took steps back before moving his arms in a swirl movement. Flames began to follow the movement of his arms, eventually turning it into a large fire tornado. He released and pushed it to Sentinel's position. He meant for this to slow him down. He dashed over to his side and fired fire balls toward's Sentinel's side, moving farther away from Sentinel while doing so. Now he had to keep his distance from him, knowing just what that weapon will do.
