A soft low whistle resounded down the halls of the trenches while everyone's favorite goth chick skipped down the halls a certain... childishness in each step. The naiveté of her current mood very nearly wafted off of the Orochi's favorite goth girl. She skipped down the hall not a care in the world. She just wanted to get her school girl outfit which had, inexplicably, been moved to the living room closet again. 'Mmmm maybe it was Shaka... or maybe Alex dressed Cesc up last time they...' The thought was wiped away suddenly by the sound of Cesc's voice above the whistling. Ai suddenly dropped the tune... this was unusual, he seemed... angry. The clacking of her heels stopped and she began to creep along the hall quietly to the entrance of the living room. "Cesc-y-kuuuuun~Do- Don't be mad, someone stole my school girl outfiiit... and I want it back." She called quietly and nervously like a little school girl. Ai crept in one tiny baby step at a time little girl step after little girl step towards the green haired leader. Slowly she edged her way along the side of the room towards the closets. She needed to get the skirt and top... and then there were the penny loafers. Suddenly the seemingly timid girl stopped and bowed very quickly to the shirtless leader. "Cescy-Kuuuun I'm sorry." Suddenly the little girl curtsied and smiled childishly before scooting along the wall to the closets. Reaching the closet and making as little noise as possibly Ai reached over and carefully opened the closet. Turning away from her master Ai grabbed the skirt and top that had inexplicably been moved to that closet... again. Crouching down she pulled open the shoe closet and suddenly tumbled back to the floor sliding on her butt until her back was against the couch. There inside the little shoe closet was Alex. "Alex-san...what... what are you doing in there?!?" She half-yelled surprised and almost scared by the strange position she found her coworker in.

At that moment in time, when the door to the sound proof shoe-closet opened, and the loud, harpy like screaming of Alex abruptly pierced the ears of everyone present, it may very well have seemed like the world laughed at both Ray and Cesc's yearning for a break. But Alex didn't care. Her throat was raw, her clothes smelled like Shaka's feet, and she was grumpy. The fact that she refused to stop screaming like a petulant child throwing a temper tantrum at the top of her lungs from the moment she was first tossed into that hell until a good minute or so after it was opened certainly did not help. Damn sound proof insulation! Damn it! However, when she noticed the least familiar member (though still familiar enough) of all the Orochi watching her screech from an open door, all noise suddenly stopped, and in its place a wide grin that stretched just a little too thinly across a ghostly pale face, was just a little too dry to remain unchapped, and was just a tad too purple to not draw attention. In an instant of that smile, Alex had shoved her tangled limbs out of the cramped room with much difficulty, escaping the previously awkward, confining pose (which resembled a rollar-coaster with too many loops), and replacing it with a similarly awkward mess of leg and arm on the ground next to Ai. "How's the weather up there? Cold, no doubt. Or is warm? Guh! You can never tell in Japan... Cheekily she adjusted her hat, sticking her tongue out and blowing a raspberry to all present. If Ray and Cesc had wanted a serious moment.... They had forgotten who they lived with. As long as you had Alexander the Great under your roof, you would never have a serious moment. It seemed for a moment, perhaps, that she was going to continue her bombardment of ridiculous rambling on their poor leader's weary ears, but she had some catching up to do with Ai! That... is what females do, right? When they see each other after a somewhat long period of being separated? Alex had no idea. But it sounded neato! And by neato I mean... boring. Very, very boring. You know what didn't sound boring though? Destruction!"Ai! Do you want to play element tag?!" If her grin could get any larger, voice get any more gleeful, the world may have imploded. It just may have. Luckily though she was not that enthusiastic about the prospect of throwing lightning bolts and dodging blades of ice (to the dread of their hideout). Oooh, but she was close.

Ray Hale

At first, all she had gotten was blackness, a comforting, heavenly blackness that she's all been craving after the damned s**t that she'd gone and went through. A little bit of sleep, a comfort of the snooze weighing itself on her mind as her breath was slowly about to go even before she suddenly jerked away from that desire, the rough pull of something on her wrist taking her now to warmth and more cushion. Ray's eyes shot open, of course Cesc's half-lidded eyes that were staring down at her being the very first thing that she caught sight of as her hand suddenly tensed into the imitation of a claw under the grip on her wrist. The whole action took the flame by surprise, all the while use to the guy being a half-assed, lazy son of a b***h when it came to actually moving his body around and taking the time to actually use the energy built up in his being. It was at that point Ray had forgotten the exhaustion that weighed and beaten itself against her back, a breath escaping her lips when she felt those lithe fingers tracing the scar on her face, all the while feeling the odd electricity that sparked through her body with each touch he made. The manner itself, hell she didn't know what it was, all she knew was that she was enjoying it to a high degree. It was different. New. And it was that alone that had her mind swirling with that confusion of just what the hell was going on just now with those lazy green eyes staring directly at her own ambers, never leaving. It was his voice shooting through her ears with an intensity that stopped her urge to grab him by the wrist, hearing something that got a lethal spark suddenly cracking and burning inside of her chest. It was a reminder, a label of worth. Ray actually being worth something to the green haired sloth, the not-so-long-ago dying ember suddenly feeling that life again, flickering lively inside with the wide eyes staring shocked into his. Baffled once again. Her breathing suddenly quickened, her fist clenching in wanting to take him there but before even that went remotely close to coming to mind, the distance between them shortened. All Ray felt now was bare skin of his warm body pressed against hers, those lips taking her completely off guard to the point that it excited her. That spark before... all it needed was that rough push. And right now, in that instant when she felt his hot lips taking initiative on her own, all she could feel now were these embers igniting into flames as he hotly kissed her. What was this?! She wants this, the unpredictable move from the mysterious man turning her on to the point that exhaustion and weakness was no where near the mindset that they might as well not exist. Rarely he talked to her like that with real words, rarely did he take the initiative. Not once has she felt this touch, but, for once being dominated and not the one making the first move, Ray was growing hotter and all the more hungrier. The pyro wanted more. Those words and these actions, Ray wasn't sure if Cesc knew how deep her got to her, how much he knew she was going to take this all into a high and meaningful level and right now... right now with her lips parting just to press tightly against him with fingers running along that wild green hair to grip and pull closer and a wrist twisting free just to push his shoulder down and have her move over him... She was going to come alive.

However, it looked like there was going to be some obstacles to the result the pyro wanted to get to, ears hearing the echoing skip of heels that came from the ice user named Ai. If only the woman didn't speak, didn't say a word, then all things would've been well because Ray wouldn't have acknowledged nor would she have noticed her presence in the first place. But with the disgustingly "cute" nickname that Ai gave to Cesc in a sort of fashion that made the pyro's skin crawl, Ray suddenly shot a deathly and promising glare over towards the ice user with a sheen of gold actually gleaming through, as if it was a demon glaring Ai down instead of an insane human. "Back. Off," she growled threateningly, the voice itself enough to give anyone with a mind that going near Cesc wasn't a good idea. "Get.Out." flames and acid might as well lick against her tongue and lips as she kept herself loomed over Cesc with angry eyes peeking behind her bangs, a suffocating air of danger emanating from her like an animal ready to feast, baring fangs and claws ready to rip apart anyone who came near what is hers. All thanks to the smoldering of Cesc, Ray had suddenly gotten territorial of her leader with selfishness just gushing through her words. Not even the shrilling scream of Obstacle Number Two (Alex) managed to bring Zippo down, Alex now only becoming a sorry subject of emphasis the moment flames shot right on over towards the girl of gold in the middle of her screams, Ai no doubt feeling them licking against her skin by the intensity alone. No tolerance. Ray Hale was back again.

"Zombie rearranged your room, get the HELL OUT!" she yelled. Now, that may sound rather harmless, but the pyro knew better. Oh yes, she knew, and she knew full well that that line alone was enough to have the hyperactive annoyance leave the room without a second thought. It was the benefit of living with the girl that she managed to at least learn about Alex's unhealthy OCD of organization in her room (and who didn't know? The door back in their old home was always open thanks to the insane girl's beatings on it). And once those girls left, Ray gave one last message to them both. "AND SHUT THE ********' DOOR!!" Once Ray and Cesc would hear the slam, the time wizard would instantly feel the pin of his shoulder and ignited lips pressing hotly, hungrily against his as a spare hand would dig nails down from his side to the skin of his hip. "Hoje à noite, você é meu," She drank him, tasted him and only wanted more, teeth biting down onto her leaders ear before whispering in heated breaths her claim this very night. Cesc would then feel the smaller body adjusting on top of him, Ray leaning down only to bite on his bottom lip lustfully, his past words ignited and awoken an inferno that has now revived. "Ninguém mais vai ter você, mas me."

The timid girl was suddenly taken aback by Ray's level of anger. Had it been any other day maybe Ai might have been able to hide the emotional storm swirling within her but, well today wasn't a good day for that. She was feeling all lovey dovey today. Which was of course not a real feeling, it was just another false inkling of a feeling...love...she had given that feeling up for Morrigan oh so long ago. The tears seemed to well up in her eyes while ray yelled at her and Alex. Ai sat there as long as she could before grabbing the Electric Psycho by the wrist and immediately running out of the room dragging Alex with her. The came the loud command to shut the door and Ai made a sudden dash back to the doorway and slammed the door shut cutting her off from the scary fire user. Panting heavily Ai sat back against the door with a look of fear and worry on her face. She really was almost useless when she got in these childish moods. Looking over she smiled to her silly crazy coworker. "Oh Alex-san!" She called suddenly losing any sign of the fear that had so marked her childish personality moments earlier. Suddenly a giant burst of ice shot across the hall and and encased Alex. It wouldn't keep her down for long but it gave her enough time to yell: "TAG!" Before immediately breaking off and sprinting down the hall at breakneck speed squealing like a little school girl.

Languid fingers brushed the doorknob for a moment, violet eyes gazing at her hand for the longest time, almost as if lost in thought, before long fingers came to life, grasping it firmly, turning it and pushing the door open. Port Island...It was very different from where they had been staying before. This place seemed almost foreign...not like the base back in Inaba. But...Yelizaveta wasn't one to hold close to such things like comfort and that feeling of 'home'. No...it was nothing of the sort. But... this place was also the one she had to return to after the long day that had been yesterday, and the fruitless search of her thoughts that had been today. Midnight, and at last, the living snowflake finally decided to return. Was she afraid? Well, not entirely. Was she confident, then? ...Not at all. She knew what had happened, knew what she had done...but still, she couldn't find that fear of death to reflect on her eyes. Capturing the Demi Fiend had been a failure, and as much as that infuriated her, she couldn't keep trying to steal time to herself anymore. If she didn't return, someone would go and look for her...and, well...that wouldn't be the honorable way of doing things. Coming herself...it was what needed to be done; and she was ready. The night before though...had left the Russian altered and quite thoughtful. Death...then came back to life...followed by a gift given by some deity...and a request to save humanity from such demons they had encountered the night before. ... "Tsk..." Well...she would give such information to Cesc, and then await for what was coming. It was the least she could do. She wasn't ask for second chances, wouldn't try to stale the punishment. That...would be such a degrading action...even for her.

The white haired woman looked up from her pale hand on the knob, before fingers let go, scanning the place that most of her companions would call home. Some steps into the base was enough to make her let out a heavy sigh, the screams, shrieks and crashing objects unable to wait until she was well established. Yeah...it was no different from Inaba. ...Except for the two figures that now lay on the couch in what appeared to be an...intimate moment. "..." Violet eyes recognized them, and with an arched eyebrow and a grunt, she turned on her heels, leaving the living room for them to finish with their business. She didn't fluster, didn't apologize. Expressionless eyes just shifted, closing the door behind her, dodging the now ongoing exchange of elemental spells, and directed her steps to the kitchen. Well...she would have to wait longer for whatever was planned for her...

Shaka Zulu

It was a normal day as ever for the Afro Samurai, being in the one place that serve as his permanent home; the kitchen. Except this time he wasn’t cooking, there was some turmoil that far exceeded the importance of putting food out for his fellow orochi members to consume. He stood on the counter with a long cigarette burning slowly in his mouth, his eyes fixated on the new weapon in his hand, the Gemini blade. He was already down and out ready to cross between worlds and join other fallen warriors of the Zulu tribe, but instead this deity has granted him the greatest gift of all, life. In addition to that he had made a contract to help fight alongside it against a much more darker threat that could hinder the Orochi’s existence, in agreeing to help Shaka received a new weapon which was this black colored blade. What hidden powers did this sword hold within it? When will the time come when he is summoned to help fight against this sinister force? These questions kept flooding his mind, but the only solution is to let time go through its course and only then will he receive that answer. Shaka knew this much though, he would do whatever it takes to destroy anything that stood in his tribes’ way, he clenched the down on the handle of his new sword with his stern eyes showing off his resolution. His thought process was broken once he heard footsteps coming into his territory, shooting a glance to the side he notice that it was none other than Liz, another person who was chosen to fight against Oda’s forces. She too had received a new weapon that could possibly hold immense power, after all they were made and given to by a god; there was no doubt that they had something within them and Shaka had to find out what. His demonic partner was out on and about as well walking next to the dagger wielding sociopath, given his height it was easy enough to take a hidden glance to some unmentionables, taking in the chance the old man smiled wide seeing what he thought would be the closest thing to sweet, sweet heaven. “Looord have mercy! Its black..she into to thoooose type of pairs. Girl got a seductive side to her” said the old man with a low and tempting voice. Seeing the thing lick its lips at the sight caused the silent warrior to drop down from the counter and march up towards Liz.
Knowing full well on what the samurai might do, the demonic old man dispersed into thin air and hid back in the mind of Shaka. Now in front of Liz with no signs of the pest he merely looked down towards Liz. “…..You should come with me…” said that living statue, holding up his black colored sword Shaka hoped that it was a good enough hint for her to get an idea of what he was talking about. “We must…train.”

Cesc Fabregas of the Orochi

Sweet, sweet interruptions...except that there really wasn't anything sweet about them at all. Nor was he the type who really found much of anything to be 'sweet', unless it was a nice, long nap the sort of which was only possible when Alex was gone away on some long-term mission...or more likely, when she was dead and gone. Even then, he had a feeling her electric-eating a** would find a way to come back from the grave and haunt him...maybe even become a demon herself, feasting on some other poor b*****d's liver until they fed her with more batteries to assuage her hunger...yeah, that'd be just like her. Unfortunately, while he might have been amused by a thought such as that at any other time, at the moment he really didn't think anything of it...instead, he found himself almost becoming amused (though it was hard to say he ever truly became amused by anything, the way he was) and almost becoming satisfied (was he ever?) by the fire that returned to the eyes of his Portuguese pistol, the venom-laced tired that sent the other two in the room scrambling away into another room to play their juvenile (and undeniably destructive) games with one another. Where the Hell had this been lately, anyway? He wasn't exactly angry (was he ever?), but no doubt if he could wrap his fingers around the b*****d responsible for that's neck he wouldn't have any hesitation about squeezing down on it until the bones shattered and the vessels popped within. Himself not included, of course, because hey...he had to run a tight ship somehow, and...well, their was a special quality to the relationships and dynamics between the layabout and all of his followers within the 8-Headed Snake. They weren't exactly comrades and they weren't exactly friends, but they were...something...to one another, weren't they? Not that he really thought about that, either, or lead on that he believed as much (did he ever?)...but at the very least he had taken them when they were nothing and given them something that made them useful to somebody...but not just anybody, useful to him. Did that mean they also had meaning to him? That...was something only he knew for sure (if even he knew). If there was any hint, however, perhaps it was in that he found himself in a position like this now with a girl that he had promised to kill only a day earlier...when she had technically failed the only mission he had given her that would redeem her to him. And that when she pinned him down and nipped his ear, whispering something to him that only the two of them would likely understand, his practically stoic eyebrow seemed to have actually raised a slight bit...his lips curling out of their unpleasant line into something almost...possibly...just a little bit human.

And then she was kissing him, biting down on his lip as she shoved down on top of him...the only distance between them the thickness of her clothes, material that simply needed to get out of the way before they were torn or burned to shreds. It was about that time that Liz passed through the room, and her presence did not escape the notice of the unusually perceptive time lord, however that was a matter he would deal with once this particular matter was done. His followers were certainly of the high-maintenance variety...each one had their own unique attitude, their own unique style, and when dealing with them they each required a certain...very individual touch. If he could call this 'conversation' with Ray a success, there was no guaranteeing such a thing would work if he were dealing with Alex. If it were Shaka, no doubt a reprimand and reconciliation would not include the sort of thing that was happening upon his beloved couch right now. For Liz, it was always hard to say...but then again, that was a thought for tomorrow. Ray had said it first and best...tonight was her night, a reminder of just who the Hell she was and why she had become a member of the 8-Headed Snake alongside her fellows and beneath the watchful, half-lidded eyes of Cesc Fabregas. And now she seemed revived, rejuvenated...if this was what it took for her to become whole again (or as whole as she could be beneath...or in this case, above him), then he was...well happy might not be the word (when did he ever seem happy?)...but well, almost amiable to doing it. Which for Cesc was rather unusual. For tonight, at the very least.

"Tonight is tonight. Tomorrow, nothing's changed," his deep, alluring voice whispered in the night, his chest rumbling beneath her in a manner that was undeniably pleasant, "We'll set the world on fire..." Was it a promise? A challenge? His voice was low, confident, undeniably sensual...his hands found their way to her hip and kept her situated atop him. Whatever it was, it would all start again tomorrow...but tonight, well...

Tonight continued on...

Liz stopped at the entrance of the kitchen, eyeing Shaka for a moment, not moving an inch as he came closer to her, not intimidated by the stare down given, or not caring at all about what he wanted or needed to say. Not that the Afro Samurai said much to begin with, but if he had taken the time to actually come and intercept her while she wanted to get some coffee, it might as well be important. She clicked her tongue, returning a dispassionate gaze to the man as he talked, frowning slightly when he suggested (only that, it wasn't a suggestion at all, it sounded more like an order) to follow him. Perhaps Shaka had been able to rest the night before...but, just like Ray, she had been on and about in a blind search for the little rat, and perhaps...just perhaps, she was tired. Not that it showed on her usually emotionless features...or that it would stop her from actually obliging to the samurai's request. She needed that training after all...That Demi Fiend had managed to annoy her with her stalling and defenses. She knew she would have been able to finish that battle in their favor...but... Tch. She needed to get stronger, needed to prove herself. A slender hand ran over snowy locks, before a sigh left her lips, the woman lost in thought. The blade on his hand, though, caught her attention, violet eyes shifting from the black blade and back to its weilder. Oh...so this was what it was all about.. Fingers brushed against her skirt, pressing against her thigh, were her own weapon was sheathed. He wanted to know what these powers were all about? ...

...

"...Very well then." she muttered, walking her way around the taller man, and into the kitchen. First...her coffee. Then, she would train. The white haired girl didn't care if he was in a hurry, or if he wanted her to move now...She had all the time of the world. ...

"Kill, kill, kill, I'll kill 'em dead, I'll kill 'em deader than dead! I'll snap their arms off like twigs! Kill, kill, kill, kill, kill,-" The cigarette between his teeth was long since eviscerated between the diamond-like teeth grinding on them, but he hardly seemed to notice as he continued to pace in a circle, hands stuffed into his pockets as his blood boiled as hot as ever... he'd tried not to get angry, but today just grated on his nerves for some damn reason! "...kill, kill, kill 'em thirty eight times, kill, thirty nine, kill, kill, kill, kill. Tch, damn it." For a moment the pacing stopped, and the tall blond and angry forcibly blinked, letting out a feral growl that could have scared a wild bear. "I need to calm down. Annoying..." His foot tapped a few times impatiently, but when it was done, his eyes shot open again, and his fist shot out to the side, a crater that Cesc would not remember forming in the wall that he would probably find...later. "Kageromaru, it's time to eat!" Izaya said with another roar, stomping down the hallway and into the large room designed for the team's pet and local demon insect. What was he going to feed it? A KNUCKLE SANDWICH, now stop asking!
