The quiet of the house would have done wonders for Prisca's now jittery nerves. Had the sky outside the windows also not started to cloud over unexpectedly. Strange. There is usually a sign for quite a while of weather changes. This didn't perhaps have anything to do with Xero's cold, did it? She had already witnessed what happened. Having never been this sick herself, she didn't know a cold could, apparently, interfere with a Pokemon's abilities. Or just that of a Psychic one. Made perfect sense. Psychic powers were all mental and colds got in the way of your concentration.
The woman nearly jumped out of her skin when someone spoke from directly behind her. This was something she would definitely have sensed before hearing anything. Yet she sensed nothing. Nothing besides Xero's presence, asleep on the couch. As freaked out as she was, she didn't want to wake him up.
Turning her head around once the voice was gone revealed nothing. And now the fire was out. Again. She must restart it. Before they both froze. And to do that, she needed to move. Which she was finding was difficult. Such embarrassing behavior for a Mewtwo. To be scared of a few incidents, no matter how creepy they were. Come on. One foot before the other. There you. She told herself this over and over until she was besides the stove. Bending down, she moved the logs with a little of her power so she could use her free hands to toss in some more kindling on the bottom. Once lite, she lowered the wood back down, staying there a moment with the door closed to watch the flames. Once she had enough of this, she moved to Xero's side of the couch to sit on the floor and lean her back against the arm. It was much more comforting to have him at her back. She still had goosebumps. No way that was a Ghost. That was too precise in the words.

The clouds left as quickly as they had appeared letting the sun's light back in through the windows. Luckily for Prisca there would be no more signs of the 'ghost' for the night. Instead another memory was leaked from Xero's thoughts. This time it was only a scene. A green forest completely surrounding a small clearing filled with lush emerald grass and wild white rose bushes lining the edges.
In the center of this clearing stood a lone tree stump, wide and very thick. It was surrounded by small vines gripping at the dark brown wood, which made every small violet flower stand out.
What was odd about this vision was what was on the stump. A very tired looking mewtwo stood atop the stump with arms folded across his chest and tail curled lightly around his feet.
His attention snapped toward her, eyes blazing blue. The memory vanished the next instant.

Prisca slipped out of her shoes to draw her knees up to her chest just as the memory started. At this point, she didn't know what else to expect from this house. But it didn't take her very long to realize this was a memory. Mewtwo weren't that widespread not to know in an instant. She wasn't sure at first what this leak was or why it was playing out for her. What she did know was his eyes turning towards her made her jump a little, with everything else that had been going on since she arrived.
Once again, it quieted down. The woman wondered if it would stay this way or something else would start up to add to the shivers going down her spine. Never had been a fan of the creepy. Being given a chance to think, she leaned her head back against the couch. The top of her head and both horns could be seen from over the edge.
Prisca watched the flames in the stove for a few minutes. Now that she had a moment to think about it, it occurred to her all of these incidents had happened after Xero fell asleep. And with his type, it wasn't surprising. Not to mention with being sick interfering with his mental control of himself. So that voice that had unnaturally moved through the house wasn't real. Once again, it was too precise in the words to be a Pokemon playing tricks on her. Which would make it....An illusion?

Xero had slept better than he had ever in a long time. In fact he had slept well past twelve hours, the sun had set and now was nearly about to rise again when he roused from his drug induced slumber. The dramatic change in lighting was strange. He had never slept so long in his life.
During his sleep he had a very strange dream, though not strange in a bad way. The dream was comforting in an odd way. He was sitting on top of a hill over looking a beautiful valley. At first it seemed he was by himself but he felt quite different. There was someone there, but he wasn't able to see them. Though this being did not speak he still felt comforted by it. Than that being was joined by two other beings and he felt a sense of completion, peace. Any of those feelings were cleared as soon as he was pulled back into the real world though the memory of it remained
Xero coughed a few times, no where near as bad as last time nothing exploded, than looked around the room. Everything in this room was alright. However, in the hallway all the chairs along the wall had cracked and lost most of their legs, wood splinters lay clutter the floors leading to the front desk and the walls are heavily cracked. In the library every book shelf had been knocked over and some had been exploded in half. Books were scattered all about the room in a mess. Some of them looked to have been on fire, though not enough to really cause damage to the contents. Like the hallway the walls and even the window in that room were cracked.

In another room, a stack of books stood against the wall. Someone's small attempt at trying to clean the mess. The bookshelves-the ones still solid-were too big for the tall woman doing the cleaning to lift, so she had settled on moving the books into a more organized pile. Most of the debris on the floor had been swept up and tossed outside, far away from the house. In fact, anything small and easily moved by a woman had been done. It looked like he had tried hard to fix the place up. She thought it a shame to leave it in such a state and not do something to help.
The woman in question was not doing anything at the moment. She hadn't been for many hours. On the other end of the couch, with her head resting against the back, Prisca was sleeping. Having worn herself out with the cleaning and keeping an eye on Xero. After a while, it had become too much. She had only meant to sit down for a little rest.
Without any blankets, her tail had curled around her thighs and coiled on the cushion near the armrest. Her legs were drawn up tight to avoid getting into contact with Xero. Something small like a cough wouldn't wake this one. Not after all that work she had done.

Xero had been caught up looking at all the work Prisca had done before his eyes settled to her form resting on the couch. He watched her for a moment before pushing the blankets from himself and quietly getting back to his feet. After he was certain he could stand just fine he took the blanket and carefully pulled it up over Prisca's shoulders. By the looks of the place she had been working very hard.
The sight earned a very brief and very small smile from the mewtwo. It vanished as he looked away back toward the dark space between the door frame.
He than quietly moved around the couch than vanished through the door. He would have to assess the damage and figure out how to fix it again. A glowing orb was created in his hand as soon as he was past the door and there was no chance the light would bother Prisca. Another thought crossed his mind as he looked over the splintered shelves; he should probably find a place to get Prisca a cappuccino when she wakes up. He did remember she had a ritual of it....

It wasn't long before Prisca woke. When she shifted her weight on the couch to turn her head more towards the back cushions, her glasses pushed uncomfortably on her face. With a start at the pain, she sat upright, blinking her eyes before remembering where she was and why. Taking off her glasses for a moment, she rubbed the sleep from her eyes and turned her head to where she had last seen Xero. To see him gone sent a small wave of concern through her. Pushing off the blanket, she stood, letting out one yawn as she did so.
Even just sleeping on the couch in that curled position, she felt refreshed. 'Specially after all that went on yesterday. Now, where did her 'patient' go? She could sense him, as easily as feeling a cold breeze on your back. At least he hadn't went far. Looking around her for a few seconds, she focused on the door behind the couch. Yes, that sensation in her mind felt like it was coming from that direction. First, she wanted to restart the fire before she joined the other Mewtwo.
Once she was satisfied with her growing fire, she made her way to the door and opened it a crack to look around the edge.
"I cleaned what I could lift," she told the silhouette in the darkness. "Feeling well enough to be up?"

At the sound of Prisca's voice Xero turned around slowly. He was holding a cup with a cardboard jacket on it, the steam could be seen flowing from the top of the lid. He looked much better than the other day yet still there was that air of exhaustion about him. His eyes drooped a little and his ears were not perked as usual. However, he was still willing to brave the outside vendors to get Prisca her morning ritual. Which that was where he had just telepotred from. It was to say the least not a fun experience.
"Thank you." He managed to say in a raspy voice. "It is still a great deal, I should remember to be more careful... Hopefully there will be no repeat of this."
He looked from the tall cup to Prisca. Than slowly made his way back into the room. Once in range he extended his hand so Prisca might be able to take the cup.
"I hope this is right? The vendor said it was a cappuccino, I was not sure or else I would have checked..."

The Mewtwo looked from the cup to Xero a few times in stunned silence. So he remembered she liked having a cup i the morning. That was an unexpected surprise. A very nice surprise to wake up to. She did very much enjoy something hot in the morning.
Taking the cup from him, she took a quick sip to warm herself before returning her purple eyed gaze to him. A smile of gratitude was on her face, warming her tired eyes beneath her glasses.
"That is appreciated, Xero. Thank you." Stepping back a little more to give him some room, Prisca didn't resist the temptation to have a little more of the drink in her hands. "Should sit back down if you're not feeling completely better," she continued softly. "Won't get better if you keep moving around."

Xero relaxed a bit more when the cappuccino was accepted and apparently enjoyed. Than it was the right thing and his experience with the vendor was not for nothing. His tail swayed once before he nodded and walked around Prisca to the couch. His energy was not all quite there yet.
"Yes, thank you." He spoke quietly as he sat back on the couch. "It is not fun being like this. I have never been in my life..." He shook his head. A few times he thought as if he would have died. A childish thought now that he had more of a clear mind.
He shook his head again. "It feels as if I am weak, something I never would have imagined. That is most odd to me." He paused than looked back at Prisca. "That must sound ridiculous" And with that he managed a half smile. She must have known all about it and found it silly of him to say such things.

The woman followed him quietly, taking a seat on the couch besides him, laying her cup in her lap with both hands wrapped around it for warmth. He did look better than when she had first found him. This made her happy and warmed her more than the cappuccino was doing. She wasn't blind to the small signs the cold was still there, but that was to be expected. Illness, especially those harsh ones, didn't just up and go away after one good night's sleep.
Prisca ducked one foot behind the idea against the bottom of the couch, keeping any contact away from Xero for the time being. There was that strange urge to get closer. She ignored it, taking a guess she was just feeling bad for his being sick. Apparently for the first time in his long life.
"Being sick isn't supposed to be fun," she couldn't help chuckling, trying to hide her amusement in another sip of her cup. "Humans get sick all the time." The smile was wiped off her face when she lowered the hot drink back down to to rest on her legs. "It will go away and you'll be back at full strength. It's not ridiculous if you're not used to it. I'm sure the library in the city has books on it."
Reaching up with one hand, she placed the back against Xero's forehead, no longer fearing making sudden movements around him. Like a mother would a sick child. A look of concentration hit her eyes before she spoke again, taking her hand away. "Feel less hot than you looked yesterday. That's one of the first things I should have done and didn't." Frowning, she turned her head to face the front of her.

Of course it wasn't fun, anyone who thought it was must be out of their minds. The next statement caused his brow to raise just slightly. Humans get sick all the time? That only proved how feeble are. The dark thought was kept to himself, thankfully, as he had already figured Prisca would not tolerate such talk. Only through her kind actions. He remained quiet until Prisca mentioned something about the library. A place he had yet to visit.
"I have thought of visiting that place for a while now. Events have gotten in my way however." He spoke quietly as he looked at Prisca. "how-"
His words were abruptly cut off as Prisca placed a hand on his forehead. That warm feeling begun to creep back up into his cheeks as they turned rosy. He blinked than, as soon as she looked away with a frown he inquired. "What difference would that have made? I feel better, so it could not have been so much."

The woman looked back at him with a smile on her face. Not something anyone should be surprised at finding on her face. She had been feeling bad about not checking Xero's temperature when she first found him and his words, though he likely didn't know it, had comforted her somewhat. He was feeling better. So she shouldn't be beating herself up over it.
"No, I suppose not," she answered, choosing this time to ignore the redness on his face she had come to know well as his embarrassment at her touches. "Never cared for anyone when they were sick before. Didn't want to do anything wrong." Giving a little sigh, she shifted her weight on the cushion and crossed one leg over the other, the edge of the dress falling just slightly from her knee. "Feeling better is more important than the process it took to get there."
Prisca took a few moments to glance around the room before meeting his eyes, again. It was clear he had been fixing the house up. And, if she judged from her first visit, it would indeed take up a lot of someone's time to fix. "Could always let me take you."

"...I would like that. Perhaps when I get this place in a presentable order once again?" He looked back at the wall, this time noticing a crack. Small and likely from the sneezing fit the other night. Xero would have to look over his books to see if any of them didn't make it. The shelves and chairs would have to be fixed or replaced as well.
He took a deep breath. A worry for another time. For now, he was just glad to now feel like death any more.
"That reminds me..." He withdrew a small golden charm bracelet from his pocket. " A strange young lad told me I needed to get you something for an upcoming festival. 'Valentines Day' I believe he called it." He extended the gift to Prisca. The small chain already had a heart charm on it. The quality wasn't of the highest jewler and the gold was likely platted on. The lad didn't explain more than it was for someone you cared about, and Xero remained ignorant about the details.
"He witnessed me buying your tradition and approached me about it. I hope he was not false in his words..."

Prisca smiled one of her many smiles and lifted the cup to her faded purple lips. She hadn't yet realized her little bit of make-up would need to be reapplied. It was a good thing she didn't wear much on her eyes or there would be dark streaks under them. Giving her the impression of a Hoot-Hoot. As it was, the only thing noticeable about her was the faded lipstick. Purple in color. Always purple.
The woman wasn't looking at Xero when he presented the bracelet. Upon turning her head, a blush colored her cheeks. Valentine's, huh? She had to admit, it wasn't normally a holiday she was very fond of. Doing all those custom orders for lovers. Though a relationship like that wasn't exactly what she wanted, it was still more of a reminder of what she left back home in Lavender.
"No," she answered softly, taking the gift from the man. She could tell just by one glance it was just a plain bracelet anyone could get in trinket shops. Likely wasn't real gold. It didn't matter to her the quality of the things she was given. He could have given her a crudely drawn card and she'd keep it on her dresser. "He was not false. It's a holiday people tend to celebrate romance and love more than any other, but it's also for honoring those around you you care about." Putting the cup down on the floor far enough away from her feet so she didn't kick it, Prisca got up off the couch, bracelet in one hand, and gave Xero's cheek a light kiss. "Thank you. Would you like me to stay and help clean up?"
