His family and his herd were growing more distant while he was growing up, so while he grew up one of the few foals in a loving family in the peaceful Earth Song Herd, he feels little connection to his family or his herd. He may migrate to another herd unless the situation changes, but for now, he doesn't mind. History: Vartan was born to a half Algiedi father and an Arcturus mother, and takes after his father in his breed. They grew up playing warrior princess games together, and Skadi can't wait to join Nos as a champion of the Royal Sun Clan of the Sunflare Herd. Like Nos, she looks up to her grandmother Sunniva, however, loyalty, strength, and courage is where the similarities between Nos and Skadi end. Whereas Nos is as graceful and dignified as the night sky, Skadi's a little spitfire, energetic and always up for an adventure to fight evil and such. Skadi is very definitely a valkyrie, though she can be dignified and graceful when she wants. She just doesn't always see the point. Incidentally, she likes winter and clean feet. History: Skadi was born one of Sunniva's first two granddaughters and one of Lugh's first three great-granddaughters, the first crossbreed in Lughnasadh's entire family, able to fly, shrink, fight, and heal, making her something of a gift to the Sunflare Herd because of her unusual versatility. Nina's disappearance may hurt Ilta a lot, as she'll lose the companionship of the only other female Nova in the herd, but she'll be glad to still have the rest of her enormous family around for comfort and support, including her father and her big brother, the only other Novae in the herd. Ilta will probably always be strongly attached to them, since she can be around them all the time. She has some grace and love of music, enjoying dancing and singing, since the bells on her back leg jingle merrily when she dances. The accompaniment to singing from her bells is good, too. Like her aunt Ilta, she'd like to become a bard, though she enjoys folk songs and dance tunes more. Solveig will always admire her grandmother a fair bit, like her cousin Skadi and her great-aunt Nos. She's also a bit mystical, always looking for knowledge of the world and thinking of spreading it. Like her mother, she doesn't really think too much of her appearance, however, unlike her mother, appearances don't matter one bit to Ceridwen. She's likely to be a bit of a folklorist and mystic, maybe a bit of a wandering bard, collecting stories and knowledge, pondering them deeply to understand the world and its events. She doesn't particularly care for her father, but she keeps that opinion down to a dull roar, so it doesn't upset those around her. History: Ceridwen was born the younger daughter of the two exquisite and colorful peacock-inspired Stars on this plane of existence, and out of her entire family, she's easily the plainest in color. Underneath that irrepressible cheerfulness, Yukito is very clever and has a deep love for the night sky, able to waste an entire night awake, watching it and noting the motions of the stars, galaxies, etc. He's sometimes easily distracted, but generally introspective, insightful, and philosophical. History: Yukito was born one of two twins and one of two sons to his parents, a lunar Star and an evening Star, linking him and his siblings very much with nighttime, as though their presence in the Moonlight Herd wasn't enough. Loyalty is not in her cards, but betraying every stallion in range not of her blood and incidentally giving her granddad Moloch the maximum number of great-grandkids is in her cards. If he doesn't nominate her for a potential heiress above her daddy and aunts and uncles, she can always embarrass him by having her munchkins publicly call him "Great-grandpa~!" She won't mess with stallions of her blood because that's incest, but aside from pride in her grandparents' generation, she has no familial love whatsoever.
