Just learning politics in my philosophy class though a lot here is completely new to me, especially the bit about breaking off into smaller sects and all that.

But most of all, i just felt like throwing in Plato's state. I know a lot of people seem to hate it, but i can't help but find that there are some good pointers in it, like an educated government rather than a rule by the majority over everything.
