Val nodded to Alana and glanced around. No one seemd to be concerned with the group of hunters.
"From what I know of the Minotaur, he is half man, half bull. Legend has it that he was kept in the center of a labrynth. If that was true then he might be somewhere in the center of the city. Seems to me that this city is a bit of a maze so he may be treating it as one. The problem is, there is only one path to the center of a maze. We need to find it."
Val paused for a moment to think, then continued.
"As for an attack plan, all I know of the weaknesses are the ring in the nose and the tail. Remove either one and the beast is rendered powerless. But we need something more refined than that. What if it doesn't work? What if the beast has gained more power? This won't be easy."
Val glanced around again, greatly bothered by the masses of people and how none of them were interacting. They all were speaking into bricks which made no sense whatsoever. The young woman pulled her hair back and retied it and then zipped her jacket up tighter. Mortals made no sense... She sighed and shook her head.

Cysero had stepped through the portal, katana on his belt and his massive oak longbow slung on his shoulders. "Hmm... Minotaurs are bull things... Right? And bulls are herd animals. Maybe check the nearest grassland? He was born from Minos' wife... Zeus got pissed off or something, made her fall in love with a white bull... Had a wooden bull thing made... And hid in it, and did... Things with the bull... He was kept in an inescapable maze because Minos was ashamed of the Minotaur... Rough childhood."

Val listened intently to Cysero and then turned to the other hunters.
"That's right. We have somewhat of a start. But we still need a plan if we are to come across the beast. We can't go charging in."
She began twirling a strand of her hair around one finger as she thought.
"If we can't find him, we must draw him out somehow. An ambush setup would be nice, but we're on his territory now. He'll have been expecting someone to come and challenge him eventually."
Val again looked up at the sky and watched the reflections of the clouds on the sides of the glass towers. She closed her eyes and felt the energy of the city pulsing all around her.

Victoria nodded. "We will go for the maze thing first." She stopped a human and spoke to him carefully. "Is there a maze around here." The human looked at her and said. "Yeah one just opened up a couple of days ago. It's really hard and no one has past it yet. There are traps but everyone has to hold onto this yellow string so they can find their way back after they give up," Victoria nods to everyone. "Where is it," The mortal told them go ahead 2 miles and then turn right then there it was. ((i dont like hard directions))

Val listened to the mortal speak and shuddered. Everyone's voice sounded hollow and cold. Living in the city of glass and metal must have destroyed their touch with Nature. The idea gave Val the chills. She could never imagine not being in tune with the earth and all that was natural.
"Wonder what sort of maze these humans could come up with? I also have another idea. If we do not find him in that maze, there is quite possibly another maze within the city."
Val crossed her arms and began to think. She closed her eyes again, feeling the energy of the city pulse in her mind. Beneath the rock floor of the city, there were tunnels. Empty with the exception of several large carts speeding along the tunnels like worms. And then there were many empty tunnels. Void of life with the exception of a rat that scuttled about every so often.
"Hm... it's quite vacant down there...What is it?"

"I doubt walking around this city would be a good idea, with the look of these... buildings this city is huge. Probably best to go to where the beast would live..." I assess the beast: the minotaur is a monster, monsters enjoy suffering of "lesser beings," they would probably want to be the ones making that being suffer. Anyplace that let people do that would either have to be extremely poor or extremely rich. "I'll try my luck at the slums first, I doubt I could get into a super-rich area."

Alana listened intently to the group around her, she let the gears turn in her head. She was putting everything together. The humans had built a maze of their own but most of the humans around here seemed...odd, even for humans. Since Alana had lived among them for most of her life she understood them pretty well. She also understood their cities and how they worked. Val spoke of an emptiness below them. She responded quietly, still in though, "Those are the subways, humans use them to travel at faster rates." Alana crossed her arms and lowered her eyebrows. "Something is not right though...I have to be honest...humans do not normally build huge mazes just for the sake of having a maze...is it possible that the Minator is controlling the humans?" She knew that the Romans had their phase of building mazes but that was a much different culture that this one. She scanned the humans around them before continuing. "What if the maze the human told us about is a trap...?" Her mind was whirring and her stomach told her something strange was definitely going on.

Cysero looks around, "If it weren't for that maze I would have suggested searching the sewer. There are miles and miles of them below Manhattans streets. One could easily get lost... And it's dark and dank, not to mention it stinks."

They started walking trying not to draw attention. As they near the maze Victoria got a eerie feeling. She walked to the maze and said to the man enetry for ((how many of you guys going with us idk im not going to say lol)). She grabbed the yellow string that now looked golden. She gasped but went into the maze with everyone.

Alana followed Victoria silently. Although she wasn't sure this was such a good idea she trusted her fellow hunter and wouldn't let any harm come to any of them. Her hand gripped her sword tighter and her eyes narrowed. She stood behind Victoria at the entrance to the maze she too felt an eerie feeling. As Alana walked into the maze she could feel the air thicken and her lungs tightened slightly. She spoke low to Victoria "The air is...wrong."

Victoria was breathing very hard and was having a hard time controling her dark sword. She knew it wanted to becomr part of evil again but she had such a strong grip. "I know but we must kill it."

Alana agreed with a short nod "Very Well." She proceeded deeper into the maze. A foul stench reached her nose and made her eyes water. "This is not going to be good..."
