That's ridiculous. Nobody will treat you any worse for it; you're still a part of the Camp Half-Blood family. A dysfunctional family, but a family." She smiled at him. "Let's have fun for now, and worry later. There may not be another dance for quite a while." Glancing towards where the karaoke mic still lay, untouched, she added, "You know, I could sing Popular from Wicked. It'd probably really aggravate her."... ♫... ☼... ♫...

"Liz...DON'T DO ANYTHING!" Theo said, rather irritated now. "There is nothing we can do that is going to get her to break the curse. I'm just gonna hafta deal with being a polar bear for who knows how long. But you still seem to think that revenge is the right thing to do RIGHT NOW! It isn't! You may see me as part of camp, but Ares cabin sure doesn't! And the last thing I want is to fight them off while I can't even use my thumbs!" he held his right hand in the air and tried to wiggle his fingers to make a point. "I'll figure out a way to get her back. But not here. Not now. Not when people are having a good time. That'd make me look like the bad guy. She can still curse you. I betcha she wants a reason to, so you can't give her one."...On such a full sea are we now afloat,

"And she already has a reason to curse me. You conveniently reminded her that I was also there when Eric committed suicide." She frowned at him and stood up. He could follow her if he wanted to. Walking over towards another corner, she smiled and greeted a girl she hadn't seen before. "Hey. I'm Elizabeth, from the Apollo cabin. You are?"... ♫... ☼... ♫... ((@JP_LioNessa: YES, YES, YES! "Well, you're lucky I didn't tell her that you were the reason he did it!" Theo said, just loud enough for Liz to hear, "he hated that you saw him angry, so he killed himself. I did nothing. If there was anybody to blame, it should be YOU!" He was really getting angry now. "But I got cursed instead. And I'm trying to make sure the same doesn't happen to you. But that doesn't matter. You want to get revenge for me, instead of being smart. You really don't care if you get cursed instead do you! So I shouldn't even try to help! In fact maybe I shouldn't have even come back at ALL!" His emotions had completely taken over by this point, and Theo started to leave the dance. He heard the Ares kids laughing, and he turned around. In five seconds, a couple of water jugs in the corner, meant for a water cooler for drinks, had exploded, and their contents formed projectiles that smashed into the older boys, sending them all to the floor.Then, without another word, Theo walked briskly out of the room.

The thought that she had been the driving force behind Eric's death hadn't occurred to her before; now, it was all too present. She had been upset, for the longest time, that her last words to Eric had been 'I hate you,' but she hadn't considered her role in his suicide a terribly major one beyond that. Now it was clear that she had a hand, no matter how indirect, in his death. Suddenly, she realized that the other girl was waiting for a reply. "Sorry, Camille," Elizabeth said in a rather distracted tone. Realizing that that hardly qualified as an answer, she added, "Um...how's it going?"... ♫... ☼... ♫...

{LIZ MUST SING WICKED. I CAN HONESTLY SAY I'VE BEEN LISTENING TO THE SOUNDTRACK NON STOP ALL DAY. What a coincidence!}
Annie noticed other people come in. One was a boy in a polar bear suit. Eventually he got angry and the coolers exploded.
'Who is he a child of? Probably a water god. What's that water god's name, though?'
She wanted to go talk to the other two girls, but for some reason she stayed back. Why? She couldn't answer that question either. Instead she hid in the shadows of her table.

Noticing Camille's glance to the karaoke stand, she grinned and asked, "Are you planning on singing?"... ♫... ☼... ♫... ((I had no idea that there were so many--well, three, but still--Wicked fans in this guild! I guess people with good taste in books also have good taste in their musical theatre.))

Undetermined (I know right? Wicked got me into acting. Haha I sang Defying Gravity for my first audition for a musical smile ) Camille blushed a little, "Ah, no." She laughed nervously, "I don't really sing." She said, trying not to sound nervous.

If only for a moment, the music would take her mind off of what Theo had said. "So...should I go with Defying Gravity, No Good Deed, On My Own, or Memory?" She looked at Camille expectantly.... ♫... ☼... ♫... ((I have a low voice and a small range, which is why I usually stick to Shakespeare as opposed to doing musicals. I'm planning on taking voice lessons to change that, because I LOVE musicals, especially Wicked.))

ƐɭǐɀȧƄȅƫȟ Ʀǒȿȧɭǐȵʠ ßȧɾʠʠȧụǥȟƫȅɾ ǒƒ Ãҏǒȴȴǒ... ♫... ☼... ♫... "I think I'll go with..." Elizabeth let her voice trail off as she thought. She gasped suddenly and then smiled. "I know what song I'm doing. This'll be fun." Without elaborating further, she ran to the karaoke stand and grabbed the mic. Conscious of all of the stares, she took a deep breath. Good posture. Focus on the diction. Let the vibrato come naturally, don't force it. Various bits of advice floated through her head in the long moment before she started, as they always did, but as soon as she opened her mouth to sing she was completely comfortable. In fact, she was more than comfortable--Elizabeth was in her element. "Someone's being bashful; that's no way to be. Not with me, can't you see?" she began, delivering the lines to the nearest group of Ares boys. She would make them shut up soon enough. "That I am just as embarassed as you, and I can understand your point of view...I've always been....SHYYY! I confess that I'm SHY! Can't you see that this confident air is a mask that I wear 'cause I'm shy!" As she sang, she danced through the crowd--not so much that it distracted from her singing, but noticeably, moving with the quick tempo and always directing her words at another stunned camper. On a roll, Elizabeth grabbed unsuspecting demigods, including a nervous looking girl sitting at one of the tables, by the arm and spun them around at appropriate times in the music. It was obvious that she was having fun with her moment in the spotlight. The song was over far too fast for her; she held out the last "SHYYYY!" until she ran out of breath for it. Smiling, she set the microphone down and bowed to the scattered applause. She had done a good job singing, but now the entire room thought she was very, very strange; not that Elizabeth minded much.... ♫... ☼... ♫... ((Here's the song Liz sang. It actually starts at about the one minute mark in this video.
If you count the church musicals I did when I was a little kid, then I've done dozens...otherwise, I've only done a couple too. What play are you doing?))

Undetermined Camille laughed a little from her seat in the corner, but at the same time was a little inspired. Now she was a little at war with herself at whether or not she should sing the kareoke too. ((It's called Aesop's Oh, So Slightly Updated Fables))
