It was a good thing Prisca never noticed the little ball of dark energy. Her entire attention was on his face. If not, that same flicker of fear she had felt during the first time they ever laid eyes on each other would have resurfaced. She knew it was a risky move to teleport him away. Even a risky move to quickly grab at him. No matter how much she may feel she can trust him, she didn't know the kinds of mental damage his entire creation purpose may have left. Though she did still strongly believe in those things she said back on the beach.

She did, however, notice his eyes glowing. For the split second she would have before he vanished, she grabbed onto Xero's wrist, again. Determined not to let him get away until she knew he was well rested. With all the resistence he was doing, she was concerned he wouldn't give his body time to fully heal from what she was certain was a fall. She had listened to his concerned suggestion about not using her powers while her foot healed. It was his turn.

But when he didn't vanish and started to fall towards her, she reacted upon her instinct. The couch was behind him. In front of him and behind her was her coffee table, the top covered in glass. If he fell on her, their weight together would break it and cause some rather awful cuts from the sharp glass. She also wasn't sure she would be able to lift him off. No, we couldn't have that scenerio play out.

The obvious pink glow of her aura winked around the two of them. With the combined effort of her physical and Mewtwo powers, she managed to push the much taller man back onto the couch as she had intended all along with her teleport. Only after making sure his body was as comfortable as she could make it did she stop and catch her breath. Sitting on the floor at his head and leaning against the arm rest. Even after she had caught her breath, she stayed beside him, usually kneeling on the floor with one hand on his arm.

What possibly could have hurt and exhausted him so badly?

Xero lay on the couch with one arm hanging over the side, the other curled by his chest and his legs bent slightly so they would fully fit on the soft surface. His tail remained flopped limply over the side of the couch. It was a nice change from the worn out corner he curled in usually. For once he looked peaceful. He was finally able to rest without the disruption of a nightmare, or so it seemed.

-What is this? You made this for me? Xero, It's beautiful. Thank you Xero. I'll wear it all the time. I love it. I have something for you too, once you can survive outside of that tube I can give it to you alright? It's a red scarf, it looks like it would be fetching on you. I made it myself too. Only a few more weeks, hang in there Xero- It was that same female voice from his memories. She seemed very motherly toward him.
-Trinity, its name is Project Z.M. if you must call it anything, hell call it Mew-two for all I care, just stop this nonsense and focus on your job! We need a powerful tool, not a child.- This was the same elderly man as before as well. Murmurs in the background suggested he was surrounded by younger colleges that agreed with his statement.

Xero's brows furrowed as he once again entered another nightmare only two hours after falling asleep. They were always similar to the last, only with added details toward the end making the new one worse than the last. His breathing grew heavier as the nightmare continued on. Every muscle in his body tensed. Even his tail curled up tightly against his frame in what seemed to be a defensive posture.

The hand flopped over the side of the couch balled into a tight fist while the one curled near his chest gripped at the couch. As time drew on he begun to look more desperate, as if he was in pain.

It was at that point in every nightmare he subconsciously called for Prisca. Not with any words, but with a strong feeling of desperation.

The woman had gotten up about thirty minutes before the nightmares started. She didn't think he would be going anywhere and he seemed peaceful enough. So she had risen from her spot on the floor beside him to finally retrieve the bag of supplies from outside the front door, bringing them in to sit on the floor besides another couch. From there, she bustled around the first floor, doing small things to keep occupied and wait for Xero to wake.

She had been coming out of her room, carrying a folded up shawl when she felt that prickling in the back of her mind. That sensation of, not having him close, but of being needed. Setting the shawl down on the kitchen table, she made quick steps to stand behind the couch he was on. He still seemed asleep, if not having a nightmare. He couldn't be aware of what he was sending out. Now it just brought the strange question of why was he subconsciously doing it?

Leaning over the couch and using her powers to elevate her over it so she was a few inches from his face, she placed one hand on his chest while her other supported her frame on the back of the couch. Nudging him roughly, she stayed in that position, looking him in the face.

"Xero!" she yelled at him, not once, but as many times as it took him to return to reality.

Prisca is very likely one of the few people to willingly get so close to something deemed dangerous and savage. In the back of her mind, she knew this probably wasn't a good idea. People in dreams are unaware of the outside world.

-Xero. Xero... Xero. Xero.. XERO!- Trinity's voice melded with Prisca's as he begun to wake. His eyes shot open and his pupils narrowed. By his expression, it still looked as if he were in the nightmare. The hand that had been previously curled under his chest moved to grab Prisca's neck. The palm opened wide with the fingers curled just slightly so he could get a tight grip. Black bolts slithered around each finger.

Luckily he caught reality before even the bolts could make contact with Prisca's skin. He froze as he looked into the eyes just inches from his own. His hand held in place, but the bolts vanished all together. His expression went from anger to confusion very quickly. Each breath remained heavy.

His tail had already uncurled when he prepared the attack. It was tense enough to be used as a weapon moments ago, now it flopped with a thud back to the floor.

"....Ms Prisca?" Xero asked in more of a sense of 'what are you doing?' rather than 'is that you'. He just could not find the right words that moment.

Prisca was quick to back up a little when Xero woke up, taking her hand off his chest to join her other holding onto the edge of the couch. This stunt would be impossible without her flying ability to keep her weight light on the back. Like a cat prepared to pounce on an unexpecting victim or tensed to spring out of the way.

Her purple eyes merely watched his hand from the corner while she was sure to keep her gaze on his. Inside, she was feeling fear at this different side of him. Outside, she hoped she wasn't showing it. But she knew that was a large thing to hope for. Her tail flicked to one side of her, hanging over the side of the couch. Like the time at the beach, the tip was flicking towards her in preparation to defend if needed. It just brushed him during the movements. Had it been still, it would be touching.

The woman stood her ground with a determined purse of her lips. It would look like a stupid move to anyone watching from the outside. Despite her being afraid, she was still certain she would come out of it unharmed. And she was curious to see if he did stop. If he did, it would only confirm to her what she saw all along. That a kind soul did reside in him.

Her tail ceased its fidgeting and lay still over the side of the couch as the bolts on his hand disappeared. Her own body relaxed.

"You were dreaming," she whispered, leaning back enough she could stand on the floor. Leaning her arms on the back of the couch, she pulled her tail back over the edge so it was no longer touching him. "I'm sorry for getting so close and if I surprised you. Didn't look like you were having a good one." She kept to herself the fact he had been calling her. That seemed too upfront to say. "Feeling any better?"

Xero heart still raced as reality settled in more. It was a huge change to wake up somewhere cozy and among company than it was to wake up alone. Luckily he was far to distracted to even notice the tail tapping him.

His hand slowly lowered once Prisca begun to speak. Another nightmare wasn't surprising. Her actions certainly were though. Twice today she had put herself in danger and managed to come out unharmed. He was glad that was so. Still, it was strange.

It took a moment more of staring before he pushed off from the couch so he was sitting up right. No, it wasn't a good dream. It wasn't anywhere near a dream. He took a deep breath before speaking.

"...yes, thank you..."
He looked from the floor backup to Prisca. "..Apologies if anything was broken..."

A few times during his nightmares he would wake to find the walls of his house more cracked than before. Luckily this time that was not the case. At this point he was now over the whole being taken here against his will. He was thankful for the bit of rest he was able to get. Still, being here was slightly odd...

A smile lit up her face as it normally did, As if the earlier endangerment to her life had never happened. That was the third time he had posed to strike her, but stopped. All times she had caught him off guard. All times making her suspect it was merely his instinct to take on a fighting stance when threatened in any way. If he truly was the monster from the stories, she wouldn't still be standing here. This wasn't the only time she's been alone with him. Perfect moments to get rid of her. Yet he didn't. And even protected her on one ocassion.

"Nothing is broken," she assured him. Most important of all, neither was her neck. Walking around the couch, she sat down besides him, closing her legs together, and facing him, her hands in her lap. The smile dropped from her face to one of seriousness. "I apologize, as well, for taking you here against your will. I was just concerned. But I hold to what I said earlier and I won't ask."

Looking down at her lap, she smoothed the soft silk of her dress over her legs, her tail curling around her feet tightly to avoid touching him. "I have a question. You don't have to answer if it's too personal. I was just wondering...." Prisca looked back up to him, still smoothing her skirt over her legs, though it wasn't needed anymore. "If your fight response is an instinct. You only do it when I catch you off guard."

Xero shook his head and raised his hand slightly as if to dismiss her apology, "...no, you knew what was best. I was acting a fool... The rest is appreciated..." Come to think about it, Xero had never actually been inside a house this nice before. It almost made him want to clean his own up a bit. Almost.

By now Xero had figured out that when she smoothed her dress she was either nervous or concerned. He watched her hands for a moment as he came to this conclusion than looked back at her to answer her question.

"... Perhaps it is a will to survive that triggers the attack response. When I am unaware of my surroundings especially...." He frowned. It was obvious that he had attacked, or almost attacked her more than once. "...I would not attack you intentionally..." He nearly added 'without reason' but Xero was not sure he would even attack her than.

Xero looked at the table in front of them as he returned to her previous statement. She wouldn't ask, but no doubt she wanted to know if she had not already figured it out on her own. He was fairly certain she had already. In any case she deserved to hear it from him.
".........and I fell from the sky." He reluctantly looked back into her eyes. "I have not been resting well..... Fatigue caused me to loose focus and fall....." His gaze returned to the table when he finished speaking.

It was embarrassing to admit, and Xero was hesitant to speak of it. His tail curled to the side of his leg. He leaned forward. His fingers interlocked with each other as he set the sides of his hands on his knees. Once he moved his exceptionally long hair fell over his shoulder and obscured most of his face from Prisca's sight.

Feeling his eyes watching her movements, Prisca looked down and stopped her hands. True, it was a subconcious twitch she had. Along with stroking her tail. Her tail was reserved for more intense emotional moments when she needed the gentle stroking to calm her.

"You do look much better," she commented, looking back up at Xero's face. "Makes me glad."

Crossing her arms on her lap, she leaned over them so her chest was squished against her knees. She saw his embarrassment as clear as day and put a sweet smile on her face and in her voice. "I understand. I suppose it sees me as a threat, being exactly the same." In a gesture of sympathy and understanding, she reached over and patted his knee before hiding her hand back under her body. "No, I didn't think you would."

"It's nothing to be embarrassed about, Xero. Everyone has moments of weakness. Does it...Have something to do with the dreams?"
PostPosted: Tue Dec 21, 2010 8:36 pm

Xero blinked at Prisca's hand when she reached over to pat his knee. The tip of his tail twitched. A curious puzzle indeed. He leaned back, so he was sitting up straight, and unclasped his fingers than let his hands rest by his sides. It was very odd to be sitting on a couch now that he thought of it.

He didn't comment about her theory on his 'attack responses'. It would have happened to anyone, though he had managed to stop the attacks with her every time. Something only one other was fortunate with. The fact of the matter was it was the soul purpose to survive, to win. It was the thrill. Again, nothing he would admit to, especially not to someone such as Prisca.

"...It does..." He looked back at Prisca through his hair unsure if he wanted to reveal such a dampening event to her. They had been increasingly worse with each night. Only this time he was able to rest a considerable amount before they surfaced again. Curious.

"...your foot, has it healed?..." The question seemed out of the blue, but for him it was a nice change in topic. Nice being he was actually curious if it had gotten better since their last meeting.

When Xero sat back, so did she. Benting over her legs wasn't a usual posture for her. She liked to sit straight and proper. She also liked being on eye level with the people she spoke to.

Chosing this time to cross one leg over the other, she placed her palms on either sides of her legs and sat back against the couch. Being in her own house made her feel much more comfortable. Her eyes drifted to the coffee table, to the small flower pot she was growing yellow tulips in. Yes, she expected as much regarding the dreams. He had called for her just the same as when it woke her at night. For a moment, she debated bringing it up. It made her extremely curious why he did. But his change of subject gave her the decision she needed.

"Mm?" She blinked in confusion, bringing her gaze back to Xero. "My foot?" Her leg suspended in the air bobbed up and down as she thought on his question. "Oh....The glass. Yes. There is a scar, but it's perfectly healed. Speaking of...." Getting up off the couch, she went behind him to the kitchen table, where her folded up shawl sat. Taking it gently in her hands, she walked back and stood to one side of him, holding it out for hm to take.

A scar? Xero still couldn't help but feel responsible for the wound. At least it was healed and not bothering her. That is what mattered.

He turned his head and followed her with his gaze until she returned with the shawl and presented it to him. At first he looked at it as if it were going to leap up and run away.

"....What is it?" He inquired as he continued to try and solve the puzzle of the shawl. If he remembered correctly she used it as a pocket and a source of warmth. He did not, however, pick up on the hint he was supposed to take it. Xero was not too keen on the idea of gift getting.

He looked back up at Prisca with the priceless expression of a lost puppy. No matter how hard he tried he could not figure it out.

Prisca couldn't help a little chuckle at Xero's expression. For someone so old and powerful, he really had a lot to learn about being human, it seemed. She found it cute, if not amusing, to see the terror from the stories looking at her like a lost puppy.

"I'm not giving you the shawl, Xero," she smiled, the amusement clear on her face. "Nor is it going to bite you if you take it." Thinking he may need a little help with this concept, she sat back in her usual spot, laying the folded shawl on her lap. Delicately unfolding it, as if she expected it to drop or break at the smallest touch, she spread it out on her legs. With one finger, she hooked her finger under a pretty silver chain and lifted it for him to see. The simple, colored design inside the oval glasses reflected brightly.

She looked back at him over her raised hand, no smile on her face. She felt too nervous to smile. "Few weeks ago, you gave me a glass shard to work something with. I never disturbed it. Just took the design on it to put between two pieces of fresh glass." Pointing her finger towards him, palm up, she pushed the dangling necklace closer to him. "Since you gave me the shard, I'm giving this to you." All the words she wanted to say done, she put a smile back on her lips.
PostPosted: Wed Dec 22, 2010 11:39 am

Xero watched her movements very carefully as she revealed the secret of the shawl. He did not think she would gift him anything, much less the shawl, he only figured she was showing him something on or possibly in the article of clothing.

When the necklace was revealed his eyes widened. The craftsmanship on it was stunning. He let the jewelry dangle from her finger a bit more before he hesitantly, and quite delicately, took it in his own hands. Carefully he inspected the glass in the center. He treated the piece as if it were going to shatter any moment if he were not careful.

"You are quite skilled..." He spoke as he inspected the pendent for a third time. It wasn't enough to draw a smile from his lips, but his delight was obvious enough. After inspecting the chain for a moment he brought it up to his neck than fastened it. The clip rest just below cord at the base of his neck. It was most comfortable there. He than looked back at Prisca.

"I like this.... Thank you... For lack of better words.
