Jupiter nodded. "I think it's time now. We really should head back." She quickly scanned the gardens and was surprised to see a younger girl walking in the gardens. Her green eyes narrowed slightly as she held one arm out to stop the Princess from taking another step. "Stay right here, Princess," Jupiter said quietly, then ran off to confront the mystery girl. "What is your business here?"

((Yeah, I don't think the Outers like her much at all before she's reborn... then I definately like the manga version better than the anime))

Serenity giggles softly, covering her mouth with her hand. Stepping forward she bows her head slightly to the Princess of Saturn as she returns the curtsie. "It is a pleasure to make your aquaintance. I'm happy to see that you were able to make it., as you are the first of the guests to arrive. Of course we didn't mean to startle you Princess Hotaru." She smiles sweetly at the younger girl.

Hotaru looked at the two and smiled, her eyes and face lighting up.
"Join you two? I would be honored. I...thank you."
Hotaru looked down, blushing a bit. She had heard of the Moon Princess' sweet demenor and also of Jupiter's fierce loyalty. She looked up and smiled softly, enjoying being accepted right away.

Jupiter laughed at Serenity's comment. "Someone else will have to wake you up then. It was my turn last time!" She stretched her arms above her head and continued walking with her hands propped behind her head. It was a nice day for a ball, and she knew that her mother would be putting extra effort in making delicious food for the event. The Queen of Jupiter had a reputation to keep up, after all, and she'd nearly have to outdo her normal since Princesses Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune were to arrive.

"So Princess Hotaru, how do you like the Moon so far?"

"They should be- Queen Selenity invited everyone." Jupiter cast a sly glance at Serenity. "Including Prince Endymion of Earth."

"Of course I look forward to making her aquaintance," Prince Endymion of Earth sighed. The generals always teased him about keeping a picture of the Moon Princess Serenity in his quarters, but today was especially bad. "A good meeting with her will secure the peace between our peoples."

"Endy, we all know it's more than that," Endymion's best friend, General Nephrite, replied. "You've got to admit, she is pretty."

"Leave him alone right now," Malachite said, a touch of disdain in his voice. "You know we have to attend that ball tonight, and it's nearly time we got dressed." He then turned to go inside the Earth Palace to do just that.

"I hate these formal occasions, really I do," Zoicite said, reluctantly following Malachite.

"At least we'll get to see girls for once," Jadeite commented as he fell in behind the two.

Endymion and Nephrite exchanged looks and followed the rest. Jadeite more than any of them it seemed to regret the fact that the five of them were allowed minimal contact with others, probably due to the fact that he was the youngest of them all. He was only a year younger- not enough to make a difference in training, but enough to make a difference otherwise.

Just then there was a knock on Princess Michiru's door. "Are you ready yet, Michiru?" Princess Haruka of Uranus called. She looked very uncomfortable indeed, with her long golden gown, heeled slippers, and her sandy blonde hair brushing her face. She hated wearing gowns, and she hated her hair being slightly shorter than Michiru's wavy coif, but what was a girl to do? The Queen of Uranus had died many years ago, and while Haruka could not take the throne yet her father still had strict rules on her.

Her companion, Princess Maemei of Nereid, rolled her eyes. "Don't yell, Haruka," she sighed, rolling her bluegrey eyes. Her black hair had been pinned back with tiny braids, and she was much more comfortable in her deep amethyst gown than Haruka. "We'll get in trouble, again."
