"The Dier Skadu, translating into 'Shadow Beast' in Afrikaan to English, is a pendant that is said to house the souls of 100 warrior who gave there lives to protect a tribe princess. She felt so guilty of this she became bitter and evil and only came out at night. Her horrendous figure and attitude gave her the title "Princess of the Shadow" and when she passed she was burned and buried with the pendant....I still dont get why they want an ancient artifact, I mean its worth a lot of money but why?" he asked as he took out a small notepad from his pocket, "Those books said something about it being able to absorb the souls of willing warriors and giving the wearer a veil of disruption, but thats as far as I got...why would evil beings want an item then keeps away evil?" Hoshi wondered, almost going face first into a pole.

"That sound quite disgusting" Hoshi said as an automatic response before realizing none of the current group said this,
"...Whose there" he called out.

Hoshi looked at the girl with a sullen face, "Sister...why are you playing in dark alleys again" he said walking over to the girl. As he got closer into the alley his eyes began to glow purple behind his glasses,
"Your blowing our cover..those be Shibusen folk" he whispered as he got closer, "Crystal, I thought you were an alley whore for a moment" he said with a small laugh, putting his hand on her shoulder, "Gang, this is my sister, Crystal. What she's doing on this side of the city I'll never know" Hoshi laughed sweatdrop . sweatdrop

She made a mental note to punish herself for her acts of foolishness. She then sent a telepathic message only to Hoshi. "Thanks a lot. Now you've hurt me even more. And you don't always have to whisper. You can do this too, you know."
She stood up after she gathered her papers together. "As you know, I'm not one to fight. But if I was, I would make sure you would never see the light of day nor the dark of night again. You have deeply hurt me brother, thinking of me as those of a brothel." Her voice was barely audible, yet clear as a bell. "I-I was in the alley because..... It would only work in the dark." she said as she pulled out small, clear orbs with what seemed to be a blue spark-like figure in the center. She dropped one and as soon as it touched the ground, a somewhat large explosion had exerted an intense heat and flame with amazing accuracy and speed. "Anyways, it's nice to meet both your acquaintances." she said as a twisted smile slowly formed on her face at the sight of the powerful flames.

The demented look on her face immediately disappeared upon the words she heard and was replaced by one that was completely serene and peaceful. "It would be an honor to accompany you. Upon our arrival, can I go up to my room? I need to check on something." She had put away her orbs in a small drawstring pouch and into her pocket. She coughed a bit due to her inhaling the fine particles of the gold dust.

She nestled her head into Hoshi's hair as as she gave a barely audible purr. "I'm sorry I forgot to tell you." she replied to his conscious. She slightly pressed her fingertips to one of his arteries. "Just like a book, you never know what's in it until you read it."

Eva too had noticed the strange whispers the two were having. 'Shibusen folk...they're definately hiding something. There's nothing else to do now, though, but follow along....I'd better keep my guard up.' She gave her best fake smile at the newcomer and watched the voodoo explosion with interest. She looked up and didnt miss that momentary insane expression on Crystal's eyes. She kept the smile pasted and nodded. 'Explosions....and light. This cannot be a coincidence. Could she be the witch we're looking for? And if so, is this man her ally?' Eva didn't trust the whole family-relationship thing. "Mhmm, lets go," She followed a few steps behind them. When they had a free chance away from the two, she would confer with Seiun about the obvious and see what they should do. If it came to the worst - she let out an internal sigh - they would have to reveal them right then and there - not to mention blow their cover. If they even had any at this point.
