I want to see the interior. It's gotta be a palace in there.

I think if I can find an older 190E for a reasonable price, I may try to find a 16v cylinder head and swap the old 8v out, then put an Evolution II bodykit on. s**t would look cash.

Oh it is, my friends used to always fight for shotgun. But, now in my MBZ at least, it just simply doesn't matter. The rear leg room is above and beyond plentiful; it's totally overabundant. biggrin

I googled up 190E Evolution II, and it showed this:

I gotta say, it really is a very classy vehicle, though I'm not sure about the HUGE arch wing. It would be VERY cool indeed though. I can already imagine what an epic photoshoot that would be. biggrin

That arch wing IS a bit gaudy, I agree. I'd probably go with the middle one, with the bodykit from the closest one.

That's the combination I was thinking of too; definitely would be such a classic car. How's the hunt going so far?

Can't really do much at the moment because I have to wait on my financial aid, but this was about the best I could find using just yahoo autos. The thing that concerns me here is if the damage is more extensive than just the bonnet.

This one too, but that's $3500. Guess I can't complain, I reckon that's the proper price for a car like the 190E, and if it's that much I know I'm getting a damn good car, and a fantastic template for my ideas.

I may be able to get like $1200 for my Vigor when I factor in the financial aid, so that'll be a big help too.

Ahh, I see, I see. It's not for everyone, but I prefer private listings rather than going over to Yahoo! cars, Autotrader, or dealer listings on Craigslist. The reason being that, to really find the best prices you have to dig deep into private listings, but if you are patient and with a little bit of luck you can get incredible, incredible deals that you simply cannot find on a dealer lot. The only thing is that you really have to know what you should look for, there are no guarantees and/ or warranties that come with the car. You are on your own and it is your responsibility to thoroughly look through the car and decide whether it is to your satisfaction.

But, definitely if you can get $1200 for your Vigor, that would be such a big help towards getting the 190E. I'll be crossing my fingers for you, bud. smile

Actually, yes, I've had a lot of offers and a lot of interest. I'm pretty close to selling it for around $1300, but have been waiting for a possible 1400$ offer. smile

Thanks! biggrin

So, just now, I filled the tank up for the second time in order to calculate the MPG. My 21 year old, 4.2L V8 gets about 12.8mpg. Now that sounds bad, but considering that the modern V8 in my dad's Chevy Suburban only gets about 13-14mpg, I think the Germans have done extremely well. That right there is an efficient V8 that has stood the test of time. wink

People can bag on the Germans all they want for their engineering, but even an idiot can't deny the quality that goes into cars like this one.

I actually have never heard anyone bag on German engineering. Most people I talk to hold German engineering in high regard. surprised
