On Wikipedia, it says that diu2 is a swear word in Cantonese, but young people in Taiwan use it to mean 'cool.' xD

Anyway, Cantonese sounds... Odd in comparison to Mandarin. At least when it's sung- I've never heard spoken Cantonese. It's probably just because I listen to Mandarin music way more often. (Does anyone know any Cantonese singers? =o)

I think that might be because Cantonese sort of keeps most of its tones even when it's being sung. 3nodding
