Well, I guess 13th century would be considered modern compared to 9th century.

Where was Moses when the lights went out?

Down in the cellar eating sauerkraut!

Indeed he was!

Righteous Anger

The lanky hank of a she in the inn over there
Nearly killed me for asking the loan of a glass of beer:
May the devil grip the whey-faced slut by the hair,
And beat bad manners out of her skin for a year.

That parboiled imp, with the hardest jaw you will see
On virtue’s path, and a voice that would rasp the dead,
Came roaring and raging the minute she looked on me,
And threw me out of the house on the back of my head!

If I asked her master he’d give me a cask a day;
But she, with the beer at hand, not a gill would arrange!
May she marry a ghost and bear him a kitten, and may
The High King of Glory permit her to get the mange.

Figured a couple ole Irish toasts would be a good reply!

When we drink, we get drunk.
When we get drunk, we fall asleep.
When we fall asleep, we commit no sin.
When we commit no sin, we go to heaven.
So, let's all get drunk, and go to heaven!

Here's to a long life and a merry one.
A quick death and an easy one.
A pretty girl and an honest one.
A cold beer—and another one!

I believe I'll have another drink.

Well God did create alcohol to keep the Irish from ruling the world and who am I to deny the wisdom of God!

Sorry, didn't mean to jack the thread. redface

I have a question - maybe a stupid, noobish question, but a question, none the less.
I was trying to do a trade, the other night, and in my inventory (as accessed from the trade screen) I could see no way to differentiate between bound and unbound. It didn't show the little locks like it does in the regular inventory, so I had to use trial and error. I needed 2 LS out of 18 and 14 were bound.

Is there a trick to doing this?

Matou, that happens to me too when I trade fish. So what I usually do is to gift the fishes to my other account one by one. That way, I will know what fish is soul bound and what is not.

Here's my question: If you expect the unexpected, wouldn't the unexpected be expected?

void ab initio

That seems like an excellent solution.

The answer to that is: Yes and No.
The Spanish have a proverb: "QuiƩn espera desespera."

i have one! and irish prayer one of my favorites!

there are only two things to worry about
whether you are sick or well
if you are well you have nothing to worry about
if you are sick you only have two things to worry about
whether you going to live or die
if you live you have nothing to worry about
if you die you only have two things to worry about
whether you go to heaven or hell
if you go to heave you have nothing to worry about
if you go to hell you will be too busy shaking hands with all your friends to have anything to worry about!
(i hope i wrote that out right)

here is another one:
May you be in Heaven a half hour before the Devil knows you are dead.
that pray hangs in my grandmothers powder room, by the vanity my grandfather made her when they got engaged. i made sure that particular piece of furniture is in the will to go to me.
