when Love cast me out I meant the whole you get knocked out and get scarred. To me that was dying.... Except you're invincible and get to keep going.
Died for the first time in Fallout tonight... Stupid Nukalurks... it was Cruelty who took pity upon me

Mm...Those lurks suck. In one of the expansions there's an area where you have to fight three, I think it was three, might have been two, Mireluke Kings....That part sucked.

I hate Mirelurks. Evil, evil crabs. (also one giant STD joke waiting to happen). Fallout 3/New Vegas (just started the latter actually) give some darn good moments for happy dances. Running out of ammo in the Deathclaw Sanctuary and still emerging victorious with your trusty combat knife? One of my crowning moments. (and all for a freaking bobblehead). I hate unarmed. I'd much rather have a melee weapon in hand. I hate not having DLC though. stupid lvl. 20 cap...

biancaswrath when Love cast me out I had a moment today where I killed a super mutant and it exploded and there was much yelling and a bit of a happy dance.
Hmm... as far as the big list... As of Tues I will have covered most of them, except for being good. I'm awesome at Fable, and can play through the whole thing and never get close to dying, and I'm getting okay with Fallout, but if I try to play Reach, it's bad. Really bad. If I played on multiplayer, I would be the one you would be yelling at.
But I just got home from work, and my husband says (without me asking), "When I finish this match (reach), you can play fallout." Which was soon followed by, "Come get your bunny he's destroying everything!"
Anyone get really big adrenaline rushes when something happens like you're attacked by a group of raiders, and after you kill them all, you have to pause and calm down? Especially if they surprise you.
Oh, I played that Star Wars game on 360 awhile ago and was okay at it for the first 3 or 4 levels... The one where you're vader's apprentice.... I got to a point where I wasn't good enough to continue, but was still happy to get to that point. it was Cruelty who took pity upon me Calm down? Who calms down? Those adrenaline rushes are like crack to gamers. You use that to build up until you get into the zone. Once you're there, you start getting the craziest shots you've ever seen, pulling off the most extreme stunts with amazing accuracy, etc., etc., etc. Of course... the opposite can happen and the adrenaline can turn into rage when you make reckless mistake after reckless mistake. That reminds me... I've got two other things to add to that list. 11. You get into the zone and begin pulling off the most insane shots, stunts, etc. you've ever seen that manage to defy even the game's physics. 12. You've raged so hard while playing a game that you threw, punched, or smashed a controller or something else related to gaming and/or a wall and/or have managed to break any of the above while raging.

when Love cast me out So far my least favorite part of the game is your in an abandoned building going "oh look! Blanco Mac and Cheese! ~nomnomnom~" and you walk outside after a nice tasty meal and go "oh hi talon mercs who came out of nowhere! and look! there's a robot out here too!" And seriously, all this for 1000 caps?? I'm worth at least double. Stupid mercs. They have no barter points. it was Cruelty who took pity upon me

@NDG: Ahhh, so you really specialized in the stuff. I lack the DLC, so best I can do is level 20. But one thing I was wondering--does Paralyzing Palm work with any fist weapon? Or must you absolutely positively be totally unarmed (as in no Knuckles/Power Fist)? Still impressive! Like that's the kind of thing you need boss battle music for.
@Topic: I kinda hated Liberty Prime, though. If only for the fact that he took a perfectly epic final battle and utterly stole the show. I would've preferred a one-man CHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGE down those Enclave gun emplacements and battalions, despite being outnumbered 10 to 1. The fighting inside just wasn't enough, and I couldn't figure out Autumn's motivation... they all wanted the purifier up and running, didn't they? So what was the problem with the Enclave running it? It sounded like Autumn didn't really want to genocide the Wasteland by tacking on the FEV, so I don't really get the difference. Other than being dependent on the Enclave, perhaps. (Portions whited for spoilers.)
I died in the Spire. Because I'm the type who absolutely refuses to use healing items. "OH IT'S OKAY IT'S ONLY A FLESH WOUND I DON'T NEED TO WASTE A PO--" *Dead*
And yes, Mirelurks are awful. One of my strategies against creatures like them is to use the Dart Gun to slow them down; then I can pick them off at my leisure. At least Deathclaws slow down enough to be manageable; Mirelurks? They STILL move faster than you can back up. And they hurt a lot. And they're armored except for a tiny spot that your best perks and skills can't auto-hit in VATS. In a sense, they're the worst enemies in the game for the reasons mentioned above--at least Behemoths are generally too big to get you, and Deathclaws can be slowed!

At early levels Radscorps suck harder than anything except Deathclaws, Mirelukes and Yao Gui. I got PF to work with Spiked knuckles and Powerfists before. I don't think I've ever done anything without something on my fists except while in the vault at the beginning of the game. another thing about playing an unarmed character is that you quickly realize that you need to have some sort of backup weapon. something for stuff like behemoths. I went with small guns, since it covers pistols and rifles, though the build I based mine off of suggested explosives or big guns.

Mmmm... depends on the Radscorp. Giant ones, definitely because there's not so much strike-back when you hit them. There half the time I just hope there's enough VATS to bring 'em down with a melee weapon. sweatdrop
And I've always had Small Guns as backup--you just don't get Laser weapons until later, and big guns are usually too heavy for my taste (besides, I hate the Minigun, Flamer's a useful but close-range weapon, Missile Launcher ammo is tough to get and if you miss you're in for some pain). Plus there you get the pistols, rifles, shotguns, sniper rifles... I didn't know for sure whether PF worked though, I'll have to try it sometime because that would definitely be nice for bigger game that's tougher than your average Raider.

It's funny when the PF happens on Feral Ghouls. What happens when the PF happens is that the character freezes in what ever it was doing before and falls to the ground, so when a Feral Ghoul gets hit it's in the middle of that flailing mess that it calls an attack and falls over. Hilarious.

when Love cast me out I killed my first deathclaw today... He got stuck in a door trying to get to me, so I was able to kill him at my leisure... But it still counts!
I use mostly small guns. I have tons of point in it and in Gunslinger, so I can kill most things in just a few shots.
Walked into Paradise City today, and decided that I was feeling homicidal. So now I have an awesome pimp hat, courtesy of the slavers I killed. biggrin it was Cruelty who took pity upon me

You get a suite there? Shoot, both times I went I just nuked the hell out of the Slavers (although the second time I at least enslaved the Minefield sniper first).

Paradise Springs is the slaver town, right? The suit is in one of the buildings, worn by the guy who ran the town.

when Love cast me out Yeah, you go to where the Quantum is and kill the head of the slavers, take his suit, and then steal the hat from his desk (to complete the outfit).
And I'm too big to go into the sewer there... But I'm a small wasterat... I want to fit! it was Cruelty who took pity upon me
