Lady Psycho Sexy Mei tsuki7 Adblock is my friend! But I don't really care about ads. They are needed to keep the site running. There is a place to report inappropriate ads though. Gaia has $10M in the bank. They aren't just 'keeping the site running', not by a long shot. Scarlet Ember Kitten Gaia has really shown their greediness now. You only get to have 7 Ad free days using their off device. Then when that's used up, you have to purchase something from the Cash Shop for 249 Cash in order to turn off the Ads for 30 days, but to turn off the Ads "indefinitely" as Gaia put it, you have to sign up for their monthly Cash Shop Cash program. That's bull**** considering some of us don't have Ad Block!
Ad Blocker Plus is free. Everyone can have it. Here's the site.I'd like to point out that I said some people DON'T USE Ad Block, NOT people can't have Ad Block.

This time, they are not being greedy, they are simply giving the users who use GC anyway the opportunity to turn off ads, since they donate money, and therefore do not have to see advertising. The space used for ads turn into 'thank you' messages from Gaia. I'd like to compare this with a movie on TV, and on DVD. You don't want commercial breaks on the DVD, since you bought it, right? Yes, they are being greedy. Basically they're saying if you don't use GC or you DON'T USE Ad Block, then you're stuck with the ads. Why should the GC users be given special treatment? Just because they have the means to pay monthly for said GC? Oh I'm sorry, I guess that would be "donating". So because they have the money to "donate", the rest of us that don't have to deal with the ads clogging up space. Why would they need to put a price on the option of turning off the ads if it's not another way for them to generate more money for themselves? That's unfair. Btw, really? You're going to compare a website ripping people off to movies on DVD and TV? Isn't that question of yours a bit redundant? No kidding no one wants to see commercials in the middle of movies (can't say on dvds seeing as how nowadays, there's plenty of ads [yes ads not trailers] to spare before the movie actually starts). Hence why people buy dvds as opposed to watching movies on TV. But since dvds are being replaced by Blu-Ray, that's another example of a company being greedy. Sony = crap. Microsoft sells their 250GB Xbox 360 Elite for $299.99, Nintendo prices the Wii at $199.99, and Sony prices the Playstation 3 at $499.99 (and that's for the one with the most memory though they still don't have nearly as much memory as a 250GB 360). Not only is the 360 less expensive than the PS3 but it's clearly superior. Yeah 360's might have the "Red Ring of Death" which can be fixed by buying a cooling fan for the 360 or actually turning it off (something PS3 owners boast that they can leave their consoles on for a week or two, which is really not the smartest thing to do with any console) plus 360s don't go dead after a systems update like the PS3 did a year ago. Then let's look at Blu-Ray players and DVD players. The cheapest price for a Blu-Ray player is $99.99 and the cheapest for a DVD player is $30.99. Then the price of the actual disks. For a DVD, $20.99 at the most and for Blu-Ray, at the most $39.99. There's no real difference in quality of the movie in HD as opposed to Blu-Ray except that Blu-Ray "makes you feel like you're actually in the movie". I've seen what movies look like on Blu-Ray, and I have to say HD is much better. Blu-Ray just has more useless crap on it than DVDs like that feature that allows you to record yourself then send it off to a friend or family member that also has Blu-Ray and then they can watch you give your little commentary on the screen while the movie is playing. Yeah sorry but when I watch a movie, it's to actually watch it and not someone who's talking the whole time. If I wanted that, I'll go see a movie in the theater.

As you started comparing the 3 new generation consoles by their prices, I almost did a /facedesk. If you think me comparing commercials on a site with commercials on a DVD is far out, then you're out where you're about to drown. The ones who "donate" don't have to watch ads, because they literally paid for some of the services Gaia has to offer. There is nothing wrong with Gaia giving those who pay the opportunity to turn off ads, as they don't need more money from them. If everyone was able to donate, then Gaia would be ad free for everyone. It's business, just like Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo. They are all companies wanting to survive, pay the ones who work for them, and still make a profit. No company can survive without profit, that's a fact. So get over it.

Sorry just getting my two pennies in about consoles.
PS3 - upgradable hard drive, mine started off as a 60GB backwards compatible model.... it's now a 1TB backwards compatible model.
xbox 360 - only way to upgrade the hard drive is by the data xfer kit and xfering between two drives that takes forever.
Wii - don't play it enough to worry about hdd space.
and I'm not being biased....I own all three next gen consoles.
Anyway we shouldn't digress further from the point in hand.
