One of the most popular and best selling adventure series in the world is The Symphony Of Ages Series. Written by Elizabeth Haydon, Fantasy Prodigy, this book is headed with the most exciting correctors in adventure stories. Rhapsody is the child of a Human father and a Liringlas (Skysinger) mother. She is a talented Singer, healer and herbalist and has been taught the magical lore of Naming. She is extremely compassionate and always goes out of her way to help people but can be quite streetwise and tough when she wants to be. She and Achmed are sometimes described as opposites or two sides of the same coin.
Rhapsody was born as Amelia Rhapsody Turner, nicknamed Emily, in the farming village of Merryfield on the island of Serendair. She was born to a human farmer and his Liringlas wife. She was the sixth child in her family, and she had 5 older brothers. Growing up as the only daughter caused Rhapsody to be very independent and strong-willed.
On the eve of her 14th birthday, she met a boy known as Sam. Sam was actually Gwydion of Manosse, a prince from nearly 1,400 years in the future, brought to Serendair by Meridion in order to alter history. Sam and Emily quickly fell in love, but Sam vanished and was brought back to his own time. Shortly afterwards, armed soldiers entered Merryfield, looking for a strange outlander. Emily, fearing for Sam's life, fled Merryfield to warn him, but lost the guards in the city of Easton.
During her time as a Oliandir one client in particular, called Michael, became obsessed with Rhapsody. He grew as a power in the area in which she lived. Rhapsody was completing her studies when a minion of said monster tried to fetch her back to him. In eluding Michael's men she met 'The Brother' and Grunthor, adopting them to convince the town guard they were her brothers and in doing so accidentally renamed 'The Brother' as Achmed the Snake. In renaming Achmed, she inadvertently released him from the slavery he had been suffering under the power of the F'dor, a demonic entity bent on destroying the world. In order to ensure that no harm would come of his renaming Achmed took Rhapsody with him to Sagia and into the tree, leading her along the axis mundi away from the destruction of Serendair. Rhapsody remained convinced that he did this to save her from Michael not seeing his true intentions. While within the earth Rhapsody Found the sword of fire named Daystar in the flames at the core of the earth and took it as it's new bearer. When Rhapsody, Achmed, and Grunthor emerge from the root, they have no idea where they are. Rhapsody, as the only one of the fellowship who could blend in among humanity, approached the Filid Tanist - Khaddyr - who took her to Llauron the Invoker, the leader of the Filid order. Llauron, immediately calculating that Rhapsody's breath-taking beauty, (enhanced by her mystical journey through the world's heart), could be used to his advantage, took her in while Rhapsody waited for the moment when she could reconnect with Achmed and Grunthor. Rhapsody then learns that the Island she called home, Serendair, was actually destroyed in a cataclysm some 1500 years before, and was buried beneath the sea. Llauron begins to suspect that Rhapsody is not of his time, but still teaches her much of the lore of this new land. She learns as much as she can, suspecting that Achmed will find it useful. While there, she learns of a land once called Canrif, now called Ylorc, the present home of a race of humanoids called the Bolg, or Firbolg. When Achmed and Grunthor return to her, she tells them of this place and its location; the Three then decide to journey there, and see if Canrif could become habitable.
There are six books in the series:

G@me Zone News Battlefield Heroes

Published by EA and developed by DICE, the authors of the recent 2 or Bad Company multiplayer the Medal of Horor, the game is free, only the player can choose to buy some costumes or weapons that give different bonuses during gameplay . The game is a free download from the site (battlefieldheroes.com) and, together with the PunkBuster version you find on the official website, you can start to experience ... the animated world created by the Dice.
Because the graphics are a cartoon, is like a step back from what DICE has done so far. However, considering that the game is a low budget, it is understandable. Even with the graphics, Battlefield Heroes manages to arouse a sense gamer's hilarious that the row has not been used so far. Mentioned that the game has no decor items that can destroy, as in other Battlefield titles, and some animations are slower - especially when it comes to sniper riffle or binoculars. Otherwise, a very fun experience for you to attach visual, focusing on the comic of the battle and not that full of destruction. Music is also mentioned, being in tune with the whole atmosphere of the game. However, the absence of various soundtracks mind after starting to hear the same song for the thousandth time.
The game is basically a 3rd Persoon shooter, you find and RPG Elements. At first you create a character that you want to choose a faction sustains: Nationalists or Roialistii - referring directly to the Allies and Germans. Then choose the class, they are three in number and each with advantages and disadvantages. The player can choose between "Gunner," "Soldier" and "Commando": The soldier serves as a Sub Machinegun main weapon, the most balanced of the three classes, LMG Gunner's can use and is very good at close range attacks and find the "longevity" of them, and finally, Commando, with the least life but which, in turn, can become invisible and use a sniper weapon, being excellent for fighting from a distance - if necessary - but melee.
Once you have entered the fight, you gain experience points and points value. They may let you buy different weapons, and other widgets, as they call into play, such as upgraded tires or French keys to repair vehicles. Once you've made a level, you get a Hero Point, which can be spent on various skills, which is the RPG element mentioned earlier. The way you use these skills is often the deciding factor in a fight. All these have a typical element Battlefield, ie vehicles. The game provides aircraft, Jeeps and tanks, all easy to control with the same cartoon I mentioned above. The game features a pleasant experience gameplay and the player can often ignore the animated aspect of the game, especially that with the launch of the Afghanistan battlefield, the game has brought a new set of skins and weapons. The game was first hinted on April 21, 2010 when British store HMV listed Blood Stone as "coming soon". Then on April 23, Activision reserved a web domain name called bloodstonegame.com. Life is out there!!
Found 20 light years away: the New Earth
This is the scene - or may be the scene - on what is possibly the most extraordinary world to have been discovered by astronomers: the first truly Earth-like planet to have been found outside our Solar System. The discovery was announced today by a team of European astronomers, using a telescope in La Silla in the Chilean Andes. If forced bookies to slash odds on the existence of alien beings. The Earth-like planet that could be covered in oceans and may support life is 20.5 light years away, and has the right temperature to allow liquid water on its surface. This remarkable discovery appears to confirm the suspicions of most astronomers that the universe is swarming with Earth-like worlds.
We don't yet know much about this planet, but scientists believe that it may be the best candidate so far for supporting extraterrestrial life.
The new planet, which orbits a small, red star called Gliese 581, is about one-and-a-half times the diameter of the Earth.
It probably has a substantial atmosphere and may be covered with large amounts of water - necessary for life to evolve - and, most importantly, temperatures are very similar to those on our world. The new planet, so far unnamed, is 20.5 light years away and orbits a red dwarf star called Gliese 581.
But one day we may find on this planet....life just like ours.

G@me Zone News Call of Duty: Black Ops
Call of Duty: Black Ops (often shortened to Black Ops) is a first-person shooter video game developed by Treyarch, published by Activision and released worldwide on November 9, 2010 for Microsoft Windows, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii, and Nintendo DS (separate version developed by n-Space)[1] consoles. Announced on April 30, 2010, the game is the seventh installment of the Call of Duty series, and the first to be set in the Cold War. It is the third in the series to be developed by Treyarch, and is a sequel to the developer's Call of Duty: World at War. Within 24 hours of going on sale, the game sold more than 7 million copies, 5.6 million in the U.S. and 1.4 million in the U.K., breaking the record set by its predecessor Modern Warfare 2 by some 2.5 million copies. A subtitled version was released in Japan on November 18, 2010. A Japanese-dubbed version will be released on December 16, 2010.
Overview Black Ops is a first-person shooter. The player assumes the role of a foot soldier who can wield various firearms, of which two at a time can be carried; throw grenades and other explosives; and use other equipment as weapons. A player close enough to an enemy can kill with one blow. A character can take three stances: standing, crouching, or prone; each affects rate of movement, accuracy, and stealth. The player can dive prone from a standing position when running. The player can momentarily sprint but will then grow tired. The screen glows red to indicate damage to a player's health, which goes away over time. When the character is within the blast radius of a live grenade, a marker indicates the direction of the grenade, helping the player to flee or throw it back. Among the game's weapons are crossbows with bolts and explosive ammunition, Dragon's Breath rounds and ballistic knives.
Controversy Cuba has condemned the release of the game as it has special forces trying but failing to kill a young Fidel Castro, killing instead a body-double. The Cubadebate website said the game "encourages sociopathic attitudes of American children and adolescents, the main consumers of these virtual games". Adam Biessener questioned events depicted in the single-player campaign stating that they push "the lines of good taste." Specifically noted was the scene depicting the torture of a restrained prisoner. In Germany, the game was expected to be banned by the end of November due to graphic violence, especially against Germans. The Federal Department of Media Harmful to Young Persons also received an "urgent request" to ban all international versions of the game. G@me Zone News Star Wars Force Unleashed 2
Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II is LucasArts' sequel to 2008's Star Wars: The Force Unleashed video game. A trailer announcing the game was shown December 12, 2009, at the Spike Video Game Awards. The game was released across multiple platforms in October 2010, along with a collectors edition of the game. The game received mixed reviews, praising the game's aesthetics but criticizing the story and gameplay. Gameplay The Force Unleashed II refines gameplay elements from the first Force Unleashed, and adds more variety with such features as puzzle solving. Combat was modified to include the ability to wield dual lightsabers, which can dismember or decapitate enemies. The game also adds more Force powers, such as "mind trick" and "Force fury".
Development Haden Blackman, who served as executive producer for the first Force Unleashed game, was the executive producer and writer for the sequel until his July 2010 resignation from LucasArts.Julio Torres replaced Blackman. LucasArts considered but decided against using a different protagonist for the sequel. The developers hope the story "stands on its own" and will be enjoyable even by people who have not played the first game. LucasArts worked closely with Lucasfilm's licensing office to ensure Boba Fett and Yoda were appropriately integrated into the story.
Technology Like its predecessor, The Force Unleashed II's engine uses Havok, Euphoria, and Digital Molecular Matter for motion and physics. Blackman feels the second game takes better advantage of the powerful engine than does the first game. LucasArts acknowledged players' frustration with the first game's targeting system, and worked to revise it in the sequel; Blackman said fixing the Force grip feature was the developers' top priority. The game also includes fewer enemy types, instead focusing on making enemies more "'special and unique'"; the game was also designed to offer "epic" boss battles. Other adjustments include allowing players to dismember enemy characters and improving menu speeds. For more informations click here -----> http://www.lucasarts.com

G@me Zone News Gran Turismo 5
Gran Turismo 5 is the fifth edition of the Gran Turismo racing simulator series. Developed by Polyphony Digital and published by Sony Computer Entertainment, it was released for PlayStation 3 on November 24, 2010. It expands on the game's Prologue version and is the first entry of the series to be developed for PlayStation 3. The game marks the first entry in the series to feature online races for 16-players. A damage model has been included with variations of damage depending on whether the vehicle falls into the "standard" or "premium"-category. Over 1,000 cars will be featured in the game; it features 26 different locations and 71 different tracks. Night racing also returns. World Rally Championship, NASCAR and Super GT licenses are featured for the first time in the Gran Turismo franchise New features
Gran Turismo 5 is the first game in the franchise to feature a damage model, with variations of damage depending on whether a vehicle is a "Standard"- or "Premium"-car and Weather effects, which are featured only on selected circuits. Optional Stereoscopic-3D resolution and Karting found a place in the game.[8] Furthermore, new visual effects are featured, including dynamic skid marks, dust and the ability for drivers to flash their headlights. A course editor which allows the player to create new circuits by using tools that randomly generate track-parts according to certain player-selected specifications, including the amount of corners, the time of day and the amount of sectors. There are a variety of themes the player can choose from to act as a base for each circuit design. Gameplay Gran Turismo 5 is the first game in the franchise to include both mechanical and external damage modelling, including a real-time deformation engine that will process model deformation according to the speed and angle of impact. It is also possible to overturn cars for the first time in the series. The cars in GT5 are separated into "standard"- and "premium"-vehicles. Standard vehicles feature a less detailed damage model with dirt, scratches and dents appearing on the car in the event of an accident. "Premium"-vehicles feature a slightly more advanced damage model. Gran Turismo 2 previously included damage, but was limited to mechanical failures only. Vehicles The game features 1,031 cars. Lamborghini and Bugatti make their first home-console appearance in the franchise, following their introduction in Gran Turismo PSP, and it has been confirmed the new "gullwing" Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG will appear, along with Ferrari's recently unveiled 458 Italia as well as the Lexus LFA supercar. McLaren will also make their first appearance as a native manufacturer with the inclusion of the McLaren F1 road car (the F1 GTR race version was present in Gran Turismo 4, but was included in BMW's dealership). Le Mans spec cars will make a return appearance. Hybrids were previously included in Gran Turismo 4 with the Toyota Prius and the Honda Insight. At the 2009 Tokyo Game Show, Yamauchi mentioned that the latest hybrid and electric cars will be included, including the Tesla Roadster. At Gamescom 2010, it was also revealed that GT5 will include the Jaguar XJ13 race car prototype, as well as the Ferrari 330 P4 and the Ford GT40 Mark IV race cars, and as the developers put it, "will allow players to create the race that never came to be", since the XJ13 program was canceled before the car was ready for competition. Additionally, in association with Red Bull Racing, the development team worked on a new prototype car called the "X1 Prototype" which was designed with the idea of, "If you built the fastest racing car on land, one that throws aside all rules and regulations, what would that car look like, how would it perform, and how would it feel to drive?" This car was worked on by Polyphony Digital and Red Bull's aerodynamics expert, Adrian Newey, and is one of the cars in the game. Up to 16 cars or 32 karts will be able to race on track at once whereas previous installments featured only six cars per race max. Recently, Polyphony Digital released the official vehicle list which also shows which vehicles will be standard or premium. The cars in GT5 are separated into two categories, "standard" and "premium". Standard cars have standard headlights, and basic damage modelling. In addition, standard cars do not feature interior camera views. Premium cars feature headlights capable of high and low beams, detailed interior camera views, and detailed damage models. Premium cars also feature working windshield wipers which can be used on tracks with rain or snow. Around 20% of all cars featured in the game fall into the "premium"-category. G@me Zone News World of Warcraft: Cataclysm
World of Warcraft: Cataclysm is the third expansion pack for the massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) World of Warcraft, following the last expansion Wrath of the Lich King. It was officially announced at BlizzCon on August 21, 2009, although details were discovered earlier. The expansion was officially released on the 7th of December 2010. Shortly after the announcement of the release date, on October 5th, Blizzard implemented the overhaul of the game's playing systems (Patch '4.0.1'), including new class builds, profession changes, stat removal, and overall gear overhauls.
Environmental redesign One of the primary features of Cataclysm is the redesign of the Eastern Kingdoms and Kalimdor areas introduced with the launch of World of Warcraft in 2004; while the previous game design didn't allow for the use of flying mounts in 'old-world' areas, those areas have been completely redesigned with flight in mind for Cataclysm. Major changes are being brought to these zones. Each faction will have a smoother leveling process, as many of the old quests are scrapped and replaced with new ones that will incorporate updated gameplay and mechanics that have been changed or redesigned since the game's release. Along with the redesign of each zone, each race will have its own respective starting area, where players will do a series of quests in a chain that will bring them up to level 5-6, before sending them out of the small area, and into the rest of the world. Each zone will also have its own storyline, through a series of quests, intended to keep the player interested in doing the quests and exploring each zone. Each of the zones that are faction specific, however, will cater only to those of the faction that controls that zone. Neutral, or 'contested' zones, will feature a PvP (Player-Versus-Player) based quest line, making the player compete against the opposing faction (Horde against Alliance, and vice versa) to achieve the desired goal of their faction. This feature makes heavy usage of phasing, which was first seen in the Wrath of the Lich King expansion. Sales Cataclysm has sold more than 3.3 million copies in the first 24 hours of its release including digital presales. It holds the distinction as the fastest selling PC game, overtaking the former holder World of Wacraft: Wrath of the Lich King, which sold 2.8 million copies in its first 24 hours. In the UK, the game placed 3rd on the "Top 10 Entertainment Software (All Prices); Week Ending December 11, 2010" behind Call of Duty: Black Ops (Activision) and FIFA 2011 (EA Games). Critical response World of Warcraft: Cataclysm has received generally positive reviews from critics At Metacritic, which assigns a normalized rating out of 100 to reviews from mainstream critics the game has received an average score of 89, based on 10 reviews, which indicates "generally favorable reviews". GamePro gave it 4/5 stars calling the game "another solid release" and "much improved in terms of its overall design" but "not quite as impressive as previous expansions". Unusual News
Unusual Sports
There are plenty of weird and unusual sports in the world, and even some of the mainstream sports may seem a bit unusual to you. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and some of the sports listed here would only be loved by beholders. The sports range from interesting right up to just plain whacky.
here are some:
World Gurning Contest - A competition where the ugliest face wins, which would be an easy competition for some, though it is not something that I would be proud of winning.
Chess Boxing - A sport mixing brains and brawn, the ultimate challenge. The winner has to be strong of body and strong of mind, playing a bit of chess between boxing rounds.
Pooh Sticks - A not so sticky event invented by the book character Pooh Bear, which involves racing a stick thrown over a bridge.
Nude Sports - Why not play sport in clothes? Taking off your clothes to play some sports is not recommended, and watching it being played by some people may not be a good idea either.
Wife Carrying Festival - You can carry your own wife of someone Else's though the obstacle course, and the prize is some beer of course.
Paper-Scissors-Rock - A World Championships for this decider game! Who would have thought it would grow up like this.
Extreme Ironing - who said ironing was easy? These extreme sports people take it to the limit, taking their ironing board and iron to far out places and getting their photo taken.
World Stinging Nettle Challenge - I can understand trying to eat as many eating hot dogs or donuts as you can, but why would anyone want to eat something with the word 'stinging' in it?
and my fave:
Needle Treading Tourney - Tread as much needles as you can, as fast as you can, the winner wins......a sowing machine....and a hell lot of needle pokes.
