1. Ok, I like G-pa Campbell better now. I mean, sure, he has a hidden agenda, he's keeping secrets, and he's just generally creepy, but I'm starting to believe that he really does genuinely care for his family, especially Sam and Dean.
2. Dean, Lisa, and Ben . . . . emo What else can I say? I really hope this incident doesn't tear apart their family unit, but I wouldn't blame Lisa at all if it did. I felt so bad for all of them.
I felt bad for Dean because, well, because he was a vampire and had to fight with himself just to see the woman he loved and his son and blah blah blah. You know, angsty stuff. Part of me was really pissed at Dean for going home at all, because OBVIOUSLY he's a danger to them. But at the same time, he thought he was going to die in a few hours. He had to say goodbye, to see her one last time. It was a stupid move, but understandable.
I felt bad for Ben because he had NO idea what was going on. I mean, at least Lisa knew before hand that something was going on with Dean, but Ben had no warning before his father figure practically threw him across the hall.
Finally, I felt bad for Lisa. Not just because she got freaked out by Dean, but because of the position he has put her in. I mean, if your hunter boyfriend comes home as a vampire and almost bites you before getting himself under control and leaving, well, that's something you can forgive him for once he's human again (I mean, who hasn't had that experience at some point in their lives. whee ), but as soon as he hurt Ben, then protective mom takes over (and we all know that Lisa is uber protective of Ben) and there's a problem. Even if Dean's human again, Lisa knows that the situations he gets in are a clear and present danger to her son, so what now? Does she just hope it never happens again and let Dean back into their lives, or does she let go of her true love and Ben's father figure just to be safe? That can't be an easy decision.
(wow. this one was long. >.< )
3. Dean as a vamp. Much more interesting than I thought it would be. Someone else already mentioned that they were getting sick of vampires, and truth be told, I am too. Still, the Supernatural vamps are just different enough that I'm really not that sick of them. We only get a vamp episode once or twice (tops) each season, keeping them pretty rare, and they're not the emo, "pity me!" type of vamps we're used to in every other tv show, movie, and book about them coming out right now. They're monsters, plain and simple. Occasionally you feel a little bad for them, but for the most part, they keep them firmly in the monster category, and at the end of the day, SPN vamp stories are more like zombie and ghost stories than they are like other series vamp stories. It's refreshing and keeps SPN vamps from being dragged into the "boring and overused" category.
Anyway, back to Dean . . . . . like I said, he was interesting as a vamp, and it was nice to see another glimpse of what turning into a vamp is like, aside from our beloved Gordon.
4. Sam . . . . . . . . What is there to say, really? He's being a jackass, there's something CLEARLY wrong with him. Not just "Oh, I've been hunting on my own for a while" wrong. Something really really really wrong, and I want to know what it is. (luckily, sounds like we'll find out next epi.) I seem to recall Sara saying in an interview that Sam's issues will be resolved by midseason, so I hope that means that the brothers can start bonding again around episode 10.
5. Creepy vampire(s) . . . . . Ok, the head guy was creepy (there's only so many times you can tell a complete stranger they're pretty in that tone without being creepy, and I'll give you a hint. It's less than one.) and the others were just creepy in the sense that they were way too good at playing Edwards.
But the alpha . . . . hmmm . . . . I wonder what's going on with him. Also, the guy who rubbed the blood on the vamp twins' face . . . . . who is he? I mean the actor. He looks super familiar. I'm guessing he'll be important later. Maybe he created all the alphas. Also, why are the creators of all the monsters men? I mean, come on. Let's get some ladies in there! I mean, women do possess baby making factories, so they should be way better at all this progeny creating nonsense, yeah? Or at least good enough to be mentioned . . . . . (Sorry. The fact that the monsters all have daddies and not mommies has just been bugging me this season . . . . )

Angeladr7 Punk~Pirate~Princess All I can say is they better give the BEST EXPLAINATION IN THE WORLD THE NEXT EPISODE or I may stop watching. It's no fun to watch the show if you constantly want to stab one of the characters you once loved in the face the whole time you watch stare
Did Dean see it? I guess he must have since they showed it, but he didn't even react... is he just holding it in and waiting for the right moment? I guess so...
rofl I was watching that trying to figure it out too and was like:
1. Ok so creepy twin vamp girls
2. Ok creepy vamp dude petting them O_o
3. Uhhh.... cells dividing? (LOL WTF does that have to do with anything? rofl )
Yeah that's all I got XDD I mean wtf? THAT'S supposed to tell them all where to go next? Really? WTF? XDD 
1. Ugg you are definitely right, it IS no fun to watch...it's like Season 4 times three all over again with no body liking Sam... him being all dark, hiding things,and lying, and -- then the brotherly drama started.
They worked all Season Five to build trust and family bonds back together now it's gonna rip apart again. gonk

Yea he saw it. In the preview for the next epp Dean told Bobby over the phone " And he just stood there watching as I got turned" or something to that effect. So that double confirms he saw it.
Plus that explains why Dean out of the blue asked Sam if he had his back and sorta eyed him suspiciously.

And omgosh in your review when you said it reminded you of the shining? I was totally thinking that. All they needed was a long hallway and to say "Come in play with us Danny" rofl How come twins always have the creepy factor at times? *shakes head* This is EVEN WORSE than that, because at least in season 4, Sam was doing it with the best intentions. He was manipulated then. Yeah, we hated him for being a idiot and not listening to his brother, but otherwise, I didn't wanna, you know, KILL HIM.
That's what everyone is pissed about! We thought we'd see more building up of trust this season, and instead they're repeating season 4 all over again ( but to the 10th power)
Yeah I saw the promo now, I see now. Still surprised that Dean held his tongue. He's waiting for the right moment to catch him I guess.
I looked up someone interpretation of the scenes and apparently it means the spreading of vampirism across the world, and the cells dividing represented the offspring being created. Makes sense lol.
RIGHT?!?! They looked just like them! LOL it was creepy!

Cornetified I just have one question as a result of this episode. Are they seriously implying that VAMPIRES are going to be the main enemy of the final season?!?!? I mean, I love the vampires of Supernatural, and a vampire army will be a cool subject, but I'm fairly certain that unless the writers give them a couple wicked new twists (other than some super powerful alpha), it'll just be a letdown for a final season as they follow the trend that many others seem to be following. I'm hoping there's more to the mosters leaving their usual haunts than this vampire business. No, no, I don't think it's going to be JUST vampires. Episode 2 we met the alpha for shapeshifters, now we're meeting the alpha for vampires, so I'm thinking they're going to have all the main monster groups with alpha, building a army, to fight each other and become the most dominant monsters of the world (and kill humans in the process).

artemisdesari Cornetified I just have one question as a result of this episode. Are they seriously implying that VAMPIRES are going to be the main enemy of the final season?!?!? I mean, I love the vampires of Supernatural, and a vampire army will be a cool subject, but I'm fairly certain that unless the writers give them a couple wicked new twists (other than some super powerful alpha), it'll just be a letdown for a final season as they follow the trend that many others seem to be following. I'm hoping there's more to the mosters leaving their usual haunts than this vampire business.
I'm actually thinking that the Alphas themselves are going to be the big bads at the end of the season, rather than the vampires. I'm a little worried though, to be honest, we've had some fantastic episodes but nothing's really been fitting together.Everything is discombobulated this season.
I mean so far we have these myth arcs:
1. Sam's evil arrow brothers have trust issues arrow Can they resolve it arrow How?
2. The Campells have a secret agenda arrow What is it?
3. Who brought Sam and Grandpa back? arrow Why?
4. The monster Alpha's are all building armies arrow Why?
5. Heaven's in anarchy arrow Civil War arrow Humans get caught in middle AGAIN arrow Can Cas and boys stop Raph?
Nothings fitting together at all. It's like the writers stuffed a bunch of plot lines in a shot gun, fired it, and sent a PA to pick up random peices and put them together on a white board confused

That's what it is, that's why I feel a little trust for him now... he actually seemed concerned for Sam and Dean in this episode. He actually seemed worried about what Sam was up to, and he wanted to really help Dean. None of that seemed like there was something really in it for him. I'm sure he was interested in the vampire stuff, but he was putting the boys first. I don't think he's truely evil, I just think he's working for someone a bit against his will. In the one episode he seemed like he had to anser to someone and he wasn't happy about it. It's like someone's forcing him to have a secret agenda. garra_eyes Also, why are the creators of all the monsters men? I mean, come on. Let's get some ladies in there! I mean, women do possess baby making factories, so they should be way better at all this progeny creating nonsense, yeah? Or at least good enough to be mentioned . . . . . (Sorry. The fact that the monsters all have daddies and not mommies has just been bugging me this season . . . . ) Because men suck mrgreen LOL seriously, I dunno, but I'm sure we'll meet some soon. I think the only female 'mommy monsters' (lol Lady Gaga) we've seen ever on SPN was the changeling episode. I dunno, the next episode features a female vllian (she looks like a goddess or something for some reason...) maybe she'll be a mama monster confused

But on the other hand, it's like, couldn't they have saved some for season 7? I dunno. I'm hoping that 2-5 are all related (and also kind of #1) in the end. If that happens, I'll be fine with all the different story lines thrown in here, but if not, it feels exactly like your description. Fire out a bunch of random ideas and then try to pack them all into the same season.

If that happens, I'll be fine with all the different story lines thrown in here, but if not, it feels exactly like your description. Fire out a bunch of random ideas and then try to pack them all into the same season. Dude, right after I posted I was like 'oh yeah, and Dean struggling to have a family arrow will he succeed? ' LOL. Was too lazy to add it though =P
I think it's because they had no real plan for this season (unlike seasons 1-5 where Kripke had at a least a rough idea of what the plan and finale would be) so they just came up with dozens of ideas to keep going with, but ended up liking so many they didn't wanna throw them out, so they decided to do them all. Now they're stuck with them all, and this seasons pace is gonna be kinda screwed up.
I guess it's alright if you're a hardcore fan already, but if you're not, heaven help you even TRY to understand what's going on. It's like Pirates of the Caribbean. The 1st and 2nd installment, pretty much everyone could follow and it was well paced. The 3rd one was literally made so intricate, with so many storylines, that only the insane fans (ME lol)could keep up. Most of the people who just watched the 1st to, barely understood what was happening, and couldn't keep up. I feel SPN is the same way this season *sigh*

garra_eyes Also, why are the creators of all the monsters men? I mean, come on. Let's get some ladies in there! I mean, women do possess baby making factories, so they should be way better at all this progeny creating nonsense, yeah? Or at least good enough to be mentioned . . . . . (Sorry. The fact that the monsters all have daddies and not mommies has just been bugging me this season . . . . ) Because men suck mrgreen LOL seriously, I dunno, but I'm sure we'll meet some soon. I think the only female 'mommy monsters' (lol Lady Gaga) we've seen ever on SPN was the changeling episode. I dunno, the next episode features a female vllian (she looks like a goddess or something for some reason...) maybe she'll be a mama monster confused Haha! You know, even seconds after I posted that, I was thinking, "wow. That was kind of bitchy. Wonder where that came from..." lol. Honestly, it's not that big of a deal. I just want some mama monsters. And you know what? I'd be ok with one of them being Lady Gaga. In fact, now I want that. We need a Gaga episode. xd Side note: totally spent this weekend listening to Lady Gaga AND I participated in a silly skit with someone dressed as Lady Gaga. whee rofl
Well at least we got Dean to say "disco stick", I think that's as close to Lady Gaga, SPN is gonna get xd
Though, that is the name fans gave Lady Gaga, Mama Monster! And we're her little monsters 4laugh I mean it does fit XDD
Hee love anything Lady Gaga related. I love her, she's the only artist I would KILL to see in concert. Me and DTMS made her Crystal Fame glasses to wear if we ever go *sigh*
