Lloyd scratched his head. "Sort of. She was lost as a newborn, and we thought she was dead until recently. She's a pixie like our mother..." He tried to explain. It was a weird situation.

 Syous nodded at Allistar before looking around the room, there still wasn't many people here. In all honesty, Syous didn't know about anything that happened that was important enough to call for all of them to be here, with the whole Regret mess taking priority. At the time, Syous was worried mainly about that, so much in fact that whatever else that had happened as well, Syous was completely oblivious to. When the word 'fight' came into Amelia and LLoyd's conversation, Syous was now curious as to what was actually happening, he hadn't heard anything about any fighting.

The lights on the stage slowly began to flicker to life as a stage hand mounted the box at the rear of the auditorium. His hands moved skillfully across the board, testing the area dimmers and the spot lights. Next was the microphone check. A low hum issued from the speakers and then disappeared as he adjusted for interference and ambiance. With everything set up, the boy leaned back in his chair to wait for the presenter to be ready. With the changing of the lights, the voices in the audience hushed before regaining their volume when nothing further happened. More students filed down the rows to fill the first section and still several more took to the balcony. The curtains on the stage ruffled as a face that had been peeking out quickly hid. Whoever it was had been short, perhaps a child, and students near the front might have heard a giggle. From that same spot, a small hand shot out holding a tiny mirror and wiggled it under the lights. The boy controlling the lights saw the glint and smiled. Suddenly, all the lights went out, eliciting screams from a few fainthearted students.
The lights across the stage shot on illuminating a woman at the center. She was of average height, probably not the little thing that had signaled the technician, but she wasn't exactly tall either. Her raven hair was tied up in a high pony-tail that draped passed her neck in curls save for a few tendrils that hung about her face. This put in plain view her red fox ears and golden eyes. She wore simple clothes, a dark blue jumpsuit embellished only by a black utility belt and matching boots and gloves. Those that had been in trouble before would recognize her as the school's head of security, but others knew her as the bartender from Aru's, but unlike either, Scytheress wore a somber expression.
"Good evening, faculty and students of Reed's. As some of you know, the school recently came under attack." The woman's voice was firm but melodic coming through the mic clipped to her collar. Her usual airy tone was absent in such times of urgency. "Beasts of great proportions were set upon us by an unknown source during our time of weakness, while our protectors were away. The call went out for defenders to combat the threat and a few brave souls stepped up to the challenge. Those individual are Zack Strife, Maiara Kaneonuskatew, Allistar Caliu, Imhotep, Lloyd Sunderson, Mizuki Kaito and Sakura. You have our thanks." Scythe bowed in honor of those whose names she called out. Applause erupted for the group who had saved the school from wide spread destruction. Scythe straightened and was raising her hand for silence once more when the little form from before came shooting out from the left side of the stage toward the fox. Scytheress quickly knelt to scooped the child up and held her on her hip. A smile came to the presenter's lips as she turned the child to face the audience. The little girl suddenly looked shy and used a balled hand to rub her eye. "Go on, you can do it." Her smile widened and soon the little girl did as well and dropped her hand. "Thank you Mister Lloyd, Mister Imhotep, and Miss Allistar for saving me." The girl giggled and then began to squirm. Scythe did her best to set the girl on her feet while she wiggled and then the girl took off back to the concealing curtains.
The security head brushed a sliver of hair from her face before addressing the congregation again. The smile that had graced Scytheress's face faded. It was time to let them know the more sinister plot behind the events. Just thought of there being a traitor among them got her long red tail twitching behind her. "Even though we repelled this great evil, the nameless foe knew precisely when to attack, when our strongest were absent. The absence of the Vice Principle and his entourage was only known to members of Reed's. Someone leaked this information. We're unsure if it's a student or faculty, but whoever it is will be found and punished accordingly." Her jaw set in an expression of anger. She'd heard about the children who didn't make it, and whoever it was that brought such tragedy upon the school would pay, and death was only going to be the end of their torment... Scytheress blinked, regaining her purpose of being on the stage. "Anyone with any information would do well to report it to me as soon as possible and forthwith should report any suspicious activity or absences.
The shifted her stance, folding her arms behind her and spreading her feet just slightly. "The work is not over, either. We must begin to rebuild the areas damaged by the attack. We need volunteers at the football field to lay fresh sod. The girl's bathroom will need to be stripped and refinished and there are a few holes in the walls of the nursery that will need to be dry-walled. Lastly, any trash pick-up would be appreciated since that wave brought unknown amounts of debris from the sea onto campus." She was about to wrap things up when a voice shouted out from the stands. "Why did they do all this? What did they want?" For the first time the fox looked tired as she drew in a deep breath. "That information cannot be released at this time. Any other questions can be addressed in my office. Thank you all for coming." The lights on the stage shut off and the outer lights flared to life. By the time the space was illuminated again, Scytheress was gone.
When the lights came back on there was also something new in the audience. On each of the fighters' laps were small boxes, maybe big enough to hold a softball. In Mariara's box would be a pendant of spiritual augmentation that would help her channel spirits. In Lloyd's box would be a tablet, a small pill with runes inscribed in rings around it. If bitten, it would release him from any bonds that may tether him whether metal or or otherwise. In Imhotep's box laid a scarab cast in gold. It was a scouting device that could clip to any of his jewelry and detach to scuttle about. It relayed images over a pathway detectable only by vampires. In Allistar's box would be a bracelet inscribed with Greek characters. They represented 'control' and would help her restrain her power. Zack's box contained a vial of regeneration that he might drink to restore himself to full power at any time. Should the two other brave women be found, they'd receive gifts as well. Sakura's box (though stored away) held a pair of cuff links. They were designed as telepathic communicators. This way, she could wear one and give one to Ren or someone of her choosing and be able to contact them at all times. Mizuki's box (also hidden away) had a pearl inside. The pearl, when rubbed, would clothe the mermaid so that she'd wouldn't have to come out of the water indecent any more.
With the main presentation over, the rabble began to start up again as the students discussed what was just said. They didn't leave yet though, as there might be other speakers.

Syous just stared in shock in response to what had just been said. The entire school had been under attack, and he knew nothing about it? When Allistar's name came up, he glanced over at her. "Allistar fought those beasts as well...and what was I doing? Running away while Regret took over..." He thought sadly, looking down at his lap.

 Amelia nodded, but knew enough to shush herself as the auditorium went dark. At the mention of Allistar's name she smiled brightly and had to resist from hugging her again. Allistar has always been so helpful, yet I think sometimes I've been so selfish... Allistar was quieted by the sudden change of the auditorium. She listened and nodded a couple times in reaction to a few words. She smiled at the young girl, a survivor. She lived. was her only happy thought until the lights came back on. She gave a warm smile as she asked Syous,"Are you okay?" He didn't look very happy, in fact he looked worried to her.

Syous's thoughts were cut off by Allistar's voice. Shaking the thought off, he looked up at her and gave a small smile. "Yeah...I'll be fine." He said. Hesitating for just a moment, he placed his hand gently on top of her closest one. "You helped fight off those beasts and saved that little girl, right? That was really brave of you." He said quietly, knowing that if it were him he would've frozen up and probably gotten himself killed.

Allistar shrugged as she responded simply,"I was just there...I even surprised myself." To her, the whole event was more of a coincedence. She smiled and asked lightly,"Wanna' go to the gardens? I need to pick up some flowers for me and Amelia. She insists we have fresh decor for the rooms."

Syous smiled and gave a small nod. "Okay...erm, as usual I don't know where that is, so you'll have to lead the way." He said, rubbing the back of his head. He didn't really like asking her to show him where everything was, but there was no way around it, all he really knew were the classrooms, the forest, the dining hall and the auditorium.

Allistar nodded and led the way out, still letting his hand hold hers even after a sharp push from her sister once Allistar mocked Amelia's voice concerning the flowers.

Syous simply smiled as he stood up and walked beside Allistar as they made their way out of the Auditorium and headed in the direction of the garden.

Lloyd went silent as the lights went out, and began to go red as the child came and spoke into the Mike. She had survived, and whatever Llyod did, he did it right. Well, at least partially right... As the lights came back on, Lloyd noticed a box on his lap. Soon after, Allistar left, and he was sitting beside Amelia. Akward... "So..... Are you a Senior? You are Allistar's older sister..." He started.

"I'm a junior, and I haven't been to any classes either." He paused briefly before continuing. "Um, if you don't really have anything to do later, wanna go grab a snack or something? We can keep talking there and this place is clearing out pretty fast." He suggested.

Amelia nodded as she brushed her hair away from her face as she responded,"Sure, I would love to, but I have to get back to my dorm. How 'bout the cafe some time?" She smiled and stood, pausing as she waited for a response before she left.

"Cool. I'll be waiting. I've got to go see what's in this box." Lloyd replied, standing. "So, later then?" He asked, giving a thumbs-up.
