Holy crap! Favorite RPG? There's so many...
well, I tend to judge them based on their respective systems, just to be fair. But my all time favorite has got to beFFVI. Why VI instead of VII since it was the first one I played? Simple. I liked all the characters (except Gau, he got on my nerves), the plot was totally unexpected (never thought that Kefka would actually destroy the world) and you actually get to a point where you hate the villain (don't tell me you didn't get mad when he poisoned the people of Doma). It had worthwhile mini-quests and the overall game was just plain fantastic. To this day I find it more entertaining than any of the others,
Another favorite is Grandia 1. I have to try 2 though.

A loaded question.
One that depends on my mood, really. Lately, it's been all about the Dragon Warrior/Quest series.

My favorite RPG is and will always be the Legend of Zelda series. Although, I do like to try out new RPG's like Final Fantasy, even I havent been an all time FF fan *waits for the gasps* Anyway, but I have played several Final f antasies before like Final Fantasy 8, Final Fantasy 1 and 2, and a little bit of FF 10 although FF 10 is a bit too complicated for me, but I just have to get the hang of it thats all.
As for the others that I mentioned, they were fun and I think they had a good story line (ff8, well in my view). Final Fantasy 1 and 2, those were fun since I like midieval-ish like settings. I have yet to play Kingdom Hearts though, since my friend said he was going to let me borrow it and I hear from him that it is a good game too.

I am the hugest Kingdom Hearts fan in the world, though most of you already know that. The original characters are beautifully done, which is the main reason I like it. Had it simply been a merge of Disney and FF it wouldn't have had the same impact. But I fell in love with the characters created specifically for this game.
Then there is Star Ocean 2, which I have this unexplained love for. Perhaps it's the beauty that is Ashton Anchors.
And FFX was a work of art. It was the first FF where I really loved the music and thought it flowed perfectly with the game. I loved the characters and the detailed character designs. (Great take on a black mage for Lulu... though I didn't use her much.)
Oh... and I like Cross more than Trigger. *shot*

While the thought of saying "FFVIII" just to irk Vanclaive IS tempting, I'd have to say Persona 2: Eternal Punishment. The rumor system was an amazingly interesting concept for a videogame, and I liked that for once, you didn't have to keep spending money on new weapons all the time, since most of the time you attacked with a Persona. That way I could spend my money on armor and recovery items for all characters (and boy did I need them in that game...a random encounter like every 2 steps...)!

But I swear it's totally worth it.

Ess Tii Eph Yuu Yeah, it IS sadly very buggy in its PS2 version (didn't even know it came for the PC, but this bugginess doesn't surprise me there). But I swear it's totally worth it. What was wrong is that the menu was being buggy, like in some menus it wouldn't leave you use the left key and in others is wouldn't leave you use the down one. It was a really weird bug. I fixed it though, if you use a controler on the pc it gets rid of all the bugs xp The game is pretty cool, the main character is really funny, he actually seems to have human humour. The battle system is really good as well and the magic is done really well. The only thing I find a bit weird is i've been playing it 6 hours, and i'm at the pope now, but the story hasn't really gone anywhere yet. But i'm sure it well work out later. I can't believe I got this in e bay for 3 Euro though =/

I mean, the plot hasn't exactly been rocketing forward yet (but it will, rest assured, pretty soon) but I thought that was a terrifically-made section right there.

Yeah I thought it was good alright, I kinda guessed something was up when they talked about the cut near her eye. I was kinda more talking about having a piece of full blow action, usually most rpgs try and bring it in earlier enough to keep newbe players entertained. It's kinda unusual, but never the less it's a kick a** game so far.

Ah. Well, yeah, I've admitted it before, the Grandia series does have a penchant for taking its time to really develop its plot into SERIOUS BUSINESS, heh, but rest assured that the action and all that jazz WILL come in its time.
