Zuleika turned her eyes away from his, although she continued to listen to him speak. The anger she was feeling was something that she didn't want to share, a feeling that was made even harder by the fact that apart of her still held feelings for Merritt - a part that was rapidly dwindling.
"I should never have left her there" the demoness said with a sigh of sadness, her words accompanied with a shake of her head. "The b*****d deserves to suffer for the pain he caused her, but doesn't part of the blame lie with me for abandoning her?"
It was then that she turned her violet eyes to Malek, searching his face for the answer to her question. She wasn't expecting a favourable response, if fact she felt as if she didn't deserve one. Zuleika had voluntarily chosen to leave her child, she had been more concerned for her own safety and welfare then what was best for her child. She should have stayed. She could have fought anyone who sought to try and harm them. They could have been a family, and then perhaps none of this would have happened.
Its probably about that p***k known as your father, Astraea hissed, before a cold chuckle resonated of the inner boundaries of Eloise's mind.
Eloise winced at the comment and subsequent laugh. "He is your father too" she replied softly as she stepped off the final stair and headed back into the hall.
Unfortunately that is something I am well aware of, growled Astraea in reply. She probably hates him as much as I do you know, the demon half continued, sounding rather sure of herself as she spoke.
"I'm sure that she understands why he did what he did" Eloise replied feebly, clearly not convinced by her own argument. Although she knew that the act of murder that Astraea had committed was most heinous, she held a small flame of anger that her father had so willingly given up on his daughters - that he hadn't even tried to make himself aware of Eloise and Astraea's uniqueness.
If Astraea had been in control she would have rolled her crimson eyes. You are pathetic!. Each word was slow and deliberate, designed to hurt Eloise as much as possible. There was no excuse for what he did to you, to us. The sooner you accept this the better!. Astraea however had no intention of giving Eloise time to come to terms with the betrayal their father had committed, and exerting all her strength upon the weaker of their forms it wasn't long before a sable haired demoness stood in place of her fair-haired 'sibling'.
"Don't worry" she said with a smirk, her voice darker and richer then Eloise's, "I don't plan on doing anything stupid, unless I happen to find who I am searching for". With that Astraea made her way swiftly toward the balcony, pushing the doors open and taking flight into the dark night.

Shaking his head Malek smiled lightly. " Zuleika, you did what you felt would best protect both yourself as well as you child and lover ... what happend because of that was not your fault. He betrayed your trust and gave up on your child ... weither he has a good reason or not, you never do that to your child ... because of his actions she has suffered greatly. although you were not there to prevent them, you also had no way to have know that these events were going to turn out the way that they did. " he wasnt sure that his words were going to ease her mind any, but he really didnt know what really happend. so he couldnt really give a good oppinion about the subject. he did know that you doing abandon your children and that what he did. she may have left them but she did so for thier wellbeing not for her own selfish gain.
not even noticing that Eloise and Astraea had made thier exit on the other side of the building he contintued to try to reasure Zuleika.

The demoness sighed, nodding slightly. His words made sense and in her mind rang as truthful - even if perhaps it wasn’t what she had wanted to here. A part of her still felt as if she were responsible, but it seemed to have lessened as Malek had spoken. “She was lucky to have been found by you…as am I” Zuleika spoke softly, turning her attention back to the cityscape. She had never been terribly good at expressing the more positive emotions, even when it had come to Merritt, so it came as little surprise that her words seemed a little cold despite their content.
“Surely you must have more important things to concern yourself with?” the demoness continued, her eyes remaining upon the city. “Revenge against the lycans for your killing your father? Or the annihilation of all species to end this war?”
She knew who he was, of the events that had lead to his conception. Although she had had little to do with Malek’s training as a child, the entire den was aware of his name, the power he possessed and his vow to end this war.
Astraea’s wings carried her swiftly and silently through the night sky, as the demon navigated toward her destination. It was a place that she hadn’t been in many years and one that she had been hoping she would never have to visit again. It had once been her home, or rather Eloise’s home and Astraea’s confinement cell, and if it hadn’t been for memories long buried then Astraea never would have visited the wretched place again. The reappearance of her mother, and the desire to track down and maim her father had been the trigger for the childhood memory.
Her wings folded themselves against her back as she landed upon the dew covered grass, which she crossed without making a sound. Others lived in this house now, strangers who couldn’t even begin to fathom that creature that had once dwelled within the walls. She didn’t care for them, with her only thought focused upon retrieving a possession her father had hidden away. With a practiced hand, Astraea had jimmied the door open in a matter of moments, her steps of her bare feet muffled by the carpet as she made her way toward the den.
The structure within remained the same, with a large open fireplace occupying one wall, although the décor was far more modern then that which had belonged to Merritt. Asserting themselves over the current vision, Astraea’s memories took her back to the way the room had once been – back to when Eloise and she had been children. Violet eyes peered around the edge of the door, watching the figure of a man within. He seemed deeply ingrossed in the piece of paper that he held loosely within his hand. It wasn’t like the paper Eloise drew her pictures upon, this paper was old and yellowed. The young Eloise wanted to go to her father, to ask him what he was reading, but something held her back – kept her watching him instead. Finally Merritt lowered the parchment from his studious gaze, sighing audibly. Purposeful steps carried Merritt to the fireplace, which was filled with nothing more then charred logs. Kneeling he reached up and inside the chimney, the sounds of brick upon brick issue around the room before his hand withdrew carrying the offending block. Rolling the parchment and securing it, he reached into the chimney once more – placing the document within the cavity before replacing the brick.
Slowly the image faded, giving way to the sleek modern furniture once more. Striding toward the fire place Astraea performed the actions she had just witness, smirking as her fingers encircled a section of parchment. Withdrawing it quickly, she unravelled it was haste and allowed her crimson orbs to peruse the document. “A celestial protection order?” the demoness said with confusion. She had been hoping that the words upon the page would reveal something about her father’s whereabouts, but she figured that this would be the next best thing.
With the paper clutched tightly within her hand, Astraea made her way from the house. Her course this time was for the celestial headquarters, its location ingrained within her memory as if she had been born with the knowledge of its location – despite the fact she had never been there. Spreading her wings once more she shot off into the night, her movements equally as speedy as they had been earlier.
((If you want Wolf, this will give you a chance to bring Teil back into it xP Just let me know if you want that and I will make another post for Astraea in the celestial palace thread ^^))

Malek smirked and turned his eyes back towards the city " i dont want to hurt anyone if i can avoid it ... but it appears that i will have to step in soon and try something ... i would like to gather some more friends that have a problem in general to see if we can stop the war from the outside without acctually chosing sides. " standing up he placed one foot onto the edge of the rooftop. " i think that i still need some time before i can acctually make a serious effort to stop the war. " shaking his head a bit he places a hand over his face then grunts " i should have never made such a vow ... but then again ... if i dont stop the war when will it end? ... ugh... i think i'm going to take a quick fly ... maybe i can find out some more info on Merrit ... try to relax and make your self comfortable. i mean after all you and your daughters have much to catch up on. " Malek forced a grin then leaped off of the building spreading his wings and gliding through the air.
although it didnt seam like malek was not that worried about the war, his eyes obviously showed his stress and frustration inthe matter.
( yeah i think that is a good way to bring teil back into the rp hehe i was getting a little bored not using him razz and i was trying to find a way to bring him back in.)

Zuleika watched Malek until he disappeared from view, feeling slightly envious that he could take to the skies while she herself had to remain earthbound. Violet orbs rested on the bright city lights for a moment longer before the demoness turned upon her heels and made her way back inside. He was right when he said that she and her daughters had much to catch up on, and Zuleika herself had much to apologise for. With purposeful steps Zuleika made her way back to the floor that contained the apartment that Malek had given to her daughters.
“Eloise…Astraea?” she called softly as she entered the darkened room. Her brow furrowed at the stillness that greeted her, that engulfed her as she walked further into the apartment. A gentle breeze blew through Zuleika’s sable locks, drawing her attention to the wide open balcony doors. “Damn it” Zuleika cursed, instantly knowing that her daughters were no longer in the building. “Be safe my darlings”. Her words were whispered into the darkness as her eyes drifted over the city once more.

The continual pacing of bare feet upon thick tile ceased, replaced instead by the protesting groan of metal as it was slowly crushed within Zuleika’s palm. She had been left alone in the apartment, left to linger impotently with her worries and frustrations. Her daughters had left this place, to places and pursuits to which Zuleika could only speculate, leaving their mother behind to ponder the fate that could have befallen them. Beneath the deadly caress of her fingers the metal railing gave a final decisive crack, settling into a new shape much like Zuleika’s mind set itself on another course of action.
In a flurry of ebony locks and twisted wings, Zuleika turned upon the balls of her feet and marched back into the stylish apartment. Rifling through the wardrobes and dresser drawers, flinging garments haphazardly over her shoulder, the demoness soon discovered the hooded-cloak that she had been searching for. Draping to over her shoulders and allowing it to cascade down her back, concealing her bent and broken wings beneath the flowing material, Zuleika fastened ornate clasp that rested at the base of her neck before pulling the hood up to conceal her visage. It was dangerous for her to be outside, in the open, away from the cover of the cave or Malek’s apartment, but she couldn’t sit by helplessly either when her daughter’s lives could very well be in danger. After years of ensuring the safety and security of her own skin, Zuleika had a lot of motherly ground to recover. Returning to the main living area a quick note was soon scrawled to inform Malek of what had transpired during his absence before all signs of life, bar the receding sounds of Zuleika’s steps, evaporated from the apartment.
Paying little attention to the crisp night air and bustle that greeted her upon the street, Zuleika pulled the cloak tighter around herself and pushed out into the night.
