Sherra let out a small sigh, running a hand through her glossy blue hair. "You're right. I could have ignored you like everyone else." she said. And I probably should have... she thought bitterly. She'd broken a big group rule by doing this, and by keeping it going. If he was really as unpopular as she was thinking, then any crazed fan would feel no sympathy in doing something to him. To an 'outsider' she might have seemed paranoid.

The fact was, what had happened to Dee had traumatized them all rather badly. They'd been aware that some of the students could be a bit obsessed, but they'd never thought that someone would go that far. All because Grau and Dee were happy together. They didn't want that to happen again; that was why they tried to keep themselves away from the rest of the students, and act like they were so superior.

"But for the record: you're the one who started this with that shortie comment after announcements."

Most girls would have turned red at being called cute by a guy, especially if he was good looking. Sherra, on the other hand, had been hugged on and harassed by Nast many times, so it took a bit more to catch her off guard. Plus this boy wasn't what Sherra would consider 'good-looking'. He was more average in her opinion, but a good average. He wasn't repulsive, but also not the kind that could overshadow the girl.

"It was a bit annoying." she answered calmly. "And I don't see how
shortie would qualify as cute. It's not exactly an endearing name. More like something you'd call an annoying little brother."

It's not cute either way... The dark haired girl let out a small sigh. This guy was definitely odd. But she was starting to actually enjoy talking with him. Sure it wasn't a very enlightening conversation, but it was different -somehow- from the ones she'd had with other people. With them it had been a passing whim. Now she was actually looking forward to talking to him again. And that surprised her; it usually took a while for her to get attached to people.

She shook her head slightly. "You're a strange one..." She was going to say more, but had stopped when she realized that she didn't know his name yet.

[[Three years of being isolated, and now he's friends with the most popular girl in school. I'd call that an improvement. xD ]]

A small genuine smile formed on the girl's lips and she nodded her agreement. 'Same here." Leviathan. She was going to make an extra effort to remember that. Something told her that she'd be seeing more of the boy, and it would ruin their next encounter if she forgot his name.
As always, the bell sounded at the most inconvenient moment, and cut their conversation short. Sherra quietly shoved her notebook into her bag. "See ya around, Leviathan." she said, before going to join the crowd that was moving out of the classroom. Or at least until they all hurried to the side to allow her to leave first.
As soon as she was out in the hallway, she heard the beginnings of the latest rumors.

"Did you see who she was talking to??"
"Yeah...I didn't know that guy could talk."
"Sherra-sama really is kind, lowering herself to talking with that weirdo..."

The girl let out a long sigh; rubbing her head where she could feel a pain forming. Why did this sort of thing always have to happen? She could only hope that it wouldn't turn out negative for Leviathan. She didn't want him to believe that his first impression of her had been right.

Sherra took her usual seat in the Astronomy classroom next to the window, and boredly stared out at the field where a class was in the middle of P.E. Her chin was cupped in her hand, and she clearly looked bored. It took a bit to keep Sherra amused, and this was one of the few classes where she didn't socialize. There was no one worth talking to here.
She glanced over towards the door, and saw a small group of kids from homeroom, still talking about her chat with Leviathan. Aren't there better things to gossip about? I don't see how me talking to a guy is so entertaining. she thought in annoyance. Then, she did something she normally would never do.
She got out of her seat and calmly walked over to the group. "Is there a problem with me talking to a fellow student?" she asked bluntly. "You talk to a lot of different people. So I don't see why I can't do the same. Please stop making things difficult." She smiled slightly at the students, and those who were obvious fans were blushing slightly.
One of them nodded, and Sherra's smile widened a bit. "Good." she replied, and then went back to her seat. It was convenient to be popular; at the very least, she wouldn't have to hear any more rumors about her chat with Leviathan. It wouldn't be able to get rid of all the various rumors surrounding her group, but at least she could choose which ones could continue to spread. By lunchtime, no one would be talking about it.

The dark haired girl glanced back over he shoulder when she heard a noise, and saw Leviathan continue down the hall. Shouldn't he have been in class by now? Was he leaving early? That seemed rather silly. It was only the first day of school. He should be figuring out where all his classes were, and maybe trying to make some friends. Senior year was supposedly the most fun. There were all kinds of benefits, and they were supposedly going somewhere really special for the June Field day. He'd enjoy it more if he had people to hang out with. People who shared his interests.
She let out a small sigh and glanced out her window again. There was a nice view of the cherry blossoms, which were just starting to blossom. This was one of the things she liked about the beginning of school; the trees were always so pretty at this time of year.
