"It's not wholly for my benefit," Asmodeus said. Christine was not his biggest fan and he knew it. "Go to my tent and wake up Lilura. Make her eat and drink something. There's food prepared in there already," he instructed her. "It's on the table by my bed," he told her.
Of all the females in the circus, there were very few he actually cared about. Asmodeus did care about a few and Lilura made that list with room to spare, both for her powers and for the fact that he had rescued her.

Christine thought about it and nodded. "That doesn't sound too bad. Sure, I can do that." She smiled, pleased he wasn't asking for something more lecherous. "If that's all, then I'll talk to you later and let you know how she is." She said, walking away. She went outside the big tent and over to Asmodeus's.
Lilura was on the sofa, in a peaceful sleep. Christine had only been in this tent once before and only a few years ago. The food was were it was supposed to be. She grabbed the meal and brought it over by the sleeping girl. "Lilura, you have to wake up now." She said, shaking the girl gently. She looked frail and ill, Christine was tempted to just let the girl rest but she had to do as she was told. "Lilura, wake up." We can’t return we can only look behind

Out of the system  Ƚɩℓυɾα ϺαϵʋϵLilura bolted up, quickly regretting it as she went back down on the couch. She groaned as she clutched her head which protested against her movement. "What do you want?" she grunted rather unpleasantly. She began to drag herself upright despite her body's protests. She was still in her costume from the night before. Caught in the spotlight

Christine jumped backwards slightly, surprised by the girl's sudden movement. "I'm told to make you eat and drink something." She said quietly, as to not disturb Lilura any more. "Should you be moving around? You look awful, Lura." She commented, holding a glass of water for her. We can’t return we can only look behind

Out of the system Ƚɩℓυɾα Ϻαϵʋϵ"I don't want anything. An of course I should move around," she said, rejecting the water. Lilura stood up and began to walk. She could not stay upright however and fell to her knees. "Maybe scratch that last part," she amended. She wanted to borrow Asmodeus's brush so that she could at least be there and not have such an embarrassing appearance, but that ship seemed to have sailed when she hit the floor. Christine smiled slightly, putting the glass down and went to Lilura's side. "Now perhaps you'll eat something. It'll help you get your strength back." She offered, holding out a helping hand. "You don't have to be stubborn about it. And I can get you whatever you were going for." We can’t return we can only look behind

Out of the system Ƚɩℓυɾα ϺαϵʋϵLilura took Christine's hand and made it back to the couch. I was going for the brush," she said as she took a oll from the plate of food and took a bite of it. She washed it down with a sip of water. As much as she hated to admit it, it did make her feel a little better. "Did Assy send you?" she asked. she was probably the only person in the circus that could get away with calling Asmodeus 'Assy' and live to tell about it. Caught in the spotlight

Out of the system Ƚɩℓυɾα ϺαϵʋϵLilura scoffed. "He's worried? Please. How many people here do you think he actually worries for? I can only think of one and that's himself," she said. She had spent her entire life with him. She knew that taking her in had at first been a business decision to get more money. She had seen him make some cold decisions and knew perfectly well what went on in the circus most of the time. Caught in the spotlight

Christine frowned slightly. He's an actor, you always forget. "You know him better than I do, I guess." She shrugged, mentally kicking herself. Him caring for someone, yea that's a joke. I hate that he can fool me, then get under my skin like this. "Do you need anything else?" We can’t return we can only look behind

Out of the system Ƚɩℓυɾα Ϻαϵʋϵ"Can you help me get to my tent? i need to change out of my costume," Lilura asked. She finished the water and left the rest of the food. She was silent for a moment before she said, "He's not totally heartless. I didn't mean to speak as I did."
Lilura straightened out her costume before she was ready to walk out of the tent. She always felt odd walking out of Asmodeus's tent after spending several hours there. The tent had quite the reputation with it. "Can I give you a warning?" she asked, not wanting to offend Christine. Caught in the spotlight

Out of the system Ƚɩℓυɾα ϺαϵʋϵLilura walked out of the tent, moving slower than usual, but able to not get clumsy for once after she had blood taken. "Assy doesn't send very many people to get me. He might pursue you sometime soon," she said. She had observed a pattern over the years. People came in to make sure she was alright because Asmodeus knew that if he tried he would have a repeat of the first time he came in when Lilura had stabbed him in the arm. The women he sent in to her were the ones her seriously pursued, not just gave one night to. Caught in the spotlight

Christine's mind froze over. "Wait, are you saying that Asmodeus, the Ring master with the worst reputation, might have a thing for me?" I don't know whither to be flattered or creeped out... She shook her head slightly, following Lilura to her tent. "That sounds kind of crazy, to be honest." She commented, glancing at the ground. I left my shoes in the big tent... Note to self: grab those before people start arriving. We can’t return we can only look behind

Out of the system Ƚɩℓυɾα Ϻαϵʋϵ"He's not that bad. Believe it or not he does have a heart. He's not without his vices to be sure, but he's not as bad as you think," Lilura defended Asmodeus. "If you think about it, he runs a successful business, has people skills and knows about powers," she said, trying to convince Christine that he was not all bad. Caught in the spotlight
