I say your best bet is after doing zOMG, get rid of all of your "non-quest" needy items on the marketplace for even more gold. Heck, even if you just spend your time doing those repeatable quests, you can gain a lot of gold and items in no time.

I'm pretty experienced when it comes to all things gold related. There are several methods. Which I will list there potential in order.
Marketing:
Item Hording- This gives you the highest risk and the highest payout of any gold gaining method. The trick is to have advanced knowledge of the market. So you know which items will just keep rising in value.
Buying and Selling Items- Depending on what method you use. You could gain more or less gold. The higher priced the items you are dealing with. The more potential for profit per item. But, that also means more risk. The Veterans will usually make the bulk of there gold. Buying items that are 1k-50k. As these seem to be less dangerous investments.
Optional- Buying Cash Cards is one way to go. But, you will still not be gaining as much as a Veteran of the market. If you do decide to buy from the cash shop. Do so out of support for the sight.
Booty Grab, BlackJack, Fishing etc. These are all activities. That will give you a fair amount of gold. I recommend using these actions. As your main source of income. Before you have become established on Gaia. Or, just in between Marketing and your favorite activity.

Two words: Zo Mog Also booty grab is great if you to the tank forums and use a thread where many people have posted their tanks. Then you just go through the thread and play the active ones. However, for high gold/time, look at the tank first. If there is just one fish glowing, skip that tank and look for a better one.

Go into forums and search Dolphin V2 - it's like the old Dolphin Mania site, but legal. 3nodding You can also find other forums that are about the same thing.

The OMGPop games, jigsaw, cards, and fishing all play for decent amounts of gold, each at a different skill set. Posting can get you quite a bit of gold if you post a lot every day, as can playing the marketplace. Items that are only available during special events, especially ones you like (cause chances are others will too) - getting more than one and then keeping them a while and selling when the go up in price works well, but takes a while. This forum's Random Item Generator and others in the freebies sub-forum can grant you gold. You can always pillage the towns by bumping trees, bushes, and rocks, but they only give a little, so you might be better off collecting a whole bunch of bugs and then selling the ink, or if you can get the final tattoo - some of those sell well on the marketplace, but that can take forever too. I play zomg, and before I had my laptop I used to play it in the library XD. If your computer is really laggy and hasn't always been that way, it might need a tune-up. Most systems have a built-in defragmenter that helps with clearing up lag - it groups program files for the same program together instead of scattered randomly across your computer.
