This one went far worse. I made it to the second leg of the woods (I don't know that I'm ever going through the desert, again) and then it told me that my ID was invalid, so I'm guessing that this is what I get in lieu of a Game Over screen. Perhaps it was too pitiful a trip to warrant one.

Well, we all died on my first adventure, after getting a little way out into the ocean...not sure how far that is. Anyway, some highlights:
"The Cruiser flies over a ziggurat, at the top of which is a bloody sacrificial altar.
* Sacrifice Matasoga to whatever Elder God the altar enshrines.
* Ehh, better not. Matasoga does help out with the work, sometimes.
You spare Matasoga's life. Probably a mistake, but whatever."
"You really shouldn't have &$%#ed with the anthill. Nobody ever talks about Violet again.
* Violet dies."
Ah well. I'll go try again, I guess.

Well... After joining up with Edmund, I made it through the desert just fine, then ran out of food shortly thereafter, killing all but one of my crew (myself included). That ONE crew member made it nearly the rest of the way there- in fact, there were two landmarks between my airship and the giant jellyfish. Tragically, my last crew member suicided while chasing a moth as she ran off the edge of the ship (the moth was, naturally, unharmed).
I'll have to try again soon.

I was two fraking seconds away from completing the event and my crew dies on me. So FRAKING STUPID!!!

With a new outfit, a new strategy, a new ship and a new name. I kept Edmund, but chose a Cruiser and named it the Great Wyrm.
The clouds part to reveal a full moon, triggering a dark and hideous lycanthropic transformation in Kristabelle.
(That’s something that I didn’t know about Kris.)
Torzeh tries out a new hairstyle.
Honestly, you have mixed feelings about it.
(Obviously not pigtails, then)
It turns out to be amazingly aerodynamic.
(Yep… Not pigtails.)
I did go for the desert, this time, but this time full speed ahead in a faster ship.
Kristabelle has a great idea for a pasta dish.
Kristabelle made a very interesting bowl suited for holding pasta out of a bunch of bullets welded together, but no dinner.
Oh, Kristabelle found a lamp in the desert, too. Forgot to paste that.
Tinuviel Nyx lies down to take a nap. While getting a snack you spy a shadowy figure beside Tinuviel Nyx's bunk.You call out and the figure vanishes in a dark cloud.
Tinuviel Nyx has two bite marks.
After some vigorous shaking, the vending machine tips over and lands on Torzeh.
(Don’t shake the machine… But I was out of loot, as it was.)
Snickerz tries a new way to tie shoelaces but makes an unforgivable mistake.
Kristabelle finds an unlabeled bottle of pills hidden in an old sock.
Kristabelle gains some health.
(I guess there’s a lesson for the kids, here…)
Torzeh broke a leg trying to kick a rock (the rock was much larger than it initially appeared)
(Out of the desert with no fatalities.)
A scandal erupts when you can't produce a pygmy birth certificate. You beat a hasty retreat in which Kristabelle suffers partial paralysis by blowgun darts.
Torzeh brings out the karaoke machine.
(Just before tragically dying… Snickerz died pretty immediately afterwards.)
Tinuviel Nyx heard some noises in the hold but is afraid to investigate alone.
(That sounds like her.)
Kristabelle wants to go fishing.
The crew spends an idle afternoon catching fish and chatting. It's a well-deserved, and more importantly, much-needed break.
(Well done, Kris.)
Made it through the sea with no further casualties… Time to try the volcano fields…
(I met a doctor and then a runaway)
He slaps Kristabelle across the face, healing diseases you didn't even know about.
When she finds out you are also a friend of the great jellyfish in the sky, she gives Kristabelle a first aid kit.
(Seems everyone is concerned for her health and well-being.)
Kristabelle broke an arm while engaging in some rowdy horseplay.
(Everything happens to this girl…)
Kristabelle is devoured whole by a half-mile-long serpent, then slowly evacuated unharmed. This disgusting misadventure took entirely too long.
The ogre rips Kristabelle's arm off and throws it to a pack of feral cats.
(See?)
Matasoga and Tinuviel starve to death upon reaching the sky. Kris is in poor health…. Won’t be long, now.
Made it to 100 days. No Game Over screen, again.
This is like a version of Oregon Trail made exclusively for the damned.

So, I made it to the end, using Diedrich and a Kestrel, this time. . My final score was 1,718, and I received a Frontier Skies Wind Medal. Forgot to save many of the funny little events, but we did have Matasoga's corpse somehow strike a majestic pose and (supposedly) gain health....

From now on I'll only be posting successful travel logs... Such as this.
Since I have NEVER been able to fill the hull, I think it’s time to try the Kestral. I set out on the Last Chance.
Run away:

Made it to the sea with over 250 lbs of food, over 100 bullets, and no casualties… I can do it. This’ll be the one.
Torzeh tries a new way to tie shoelaces but makes an unforgivable mistake.
Edmund performs surprise dental surgery on Torzeh, forcibly implanting a set of crystal chompers.
As a test, Torzeh consumes a fistful of minerals.
Lost Matasoga to starvation.
Something pricks Matasoga, Torzeh, Kristabelle, Tinuviel Nyx, Snickerz's foot when putting on their shoes. Inside you find a thorn poisoned with salamander's blood, a favorite trap of vampires.
Lost Tinuviel shortly afterward, then the others except for Torzeh.
With 5 lbs of food and 50 ammo I proceed to the sky.
Torzeh becomes corrupted by rock music and adopts an anti-authority stance.
You all stop to get matching anchor tattoos, but Torzeh mishears and gets a unicorn.
The unicorn gang doesn't see the humor in Torzeh's unauthorized use of their symbol, however, and tears the flesh off Torzeh's arm.
Edmund punches Torzeh in the face.
Whew… Finally made it. I will be drawing this new, epic version of Torzeh, which is why I kept details only pertaining to her as the sole survivor.
Score: 834
I got a Water Medal. Make sure the rest of you post your items won, as well.

Oh, hey, if you're in the desert and a massive sandstorm starts, and you think that there must be some reward to steering your ship directly into it, it's not. It is a TPK. --..-- No tricks involved. I promise.

I set out on the Last Hope II with (in order) Torzeh, Geners, Eliae Darr, and Keiko Utaraichi. I set out with the now-hated Dietrich.
You fear that Geners has become a zombie, but have no proof. Due to your well-known history of psychotic hallucinations and unfounded accusations, the rest of your crew doesn't believe you. What do you do?
(I smothered him. Zombie’s I can handle, but this traitor shall eat no more of my food..)
The long journey is starting to take its toll.
Every member of your crew has sprouted a gnarly beard.
(Which are then shaved… But is intensely odd, given that the crew is a corpse, a dragon, and women.)
Matasoga: Pick up one of the cow skulls underfoot and wear it as a hat.
After struggling along at Sick (while everyone else was fine, and forcing many rests and much waste) Keiko died when I turned away for a bit to type elsewhere.
I leave the desert with 268 lbs of food, 150 bullets, and three survivors.
"Did you know that snails have a very unusual way of mating? Here, let me demonstrate with Torzeh. See? That was very weird, right?"
(The time lost shouldn’t have been the crews inefficiency at being grossed out, it should have been that we had to stop long enough for me to stomp him to death and impale his head on the mast.)

I made it through and was ultimately successful, with plenty of meat, bullets, and a decent amount of loot with a score of 883. Eh. Better than last time.

Sam works on the rigging while Ledzie Campbell mops the deck below.

I'm trying to beat the event using carl as a guide. sweatdrop So far it hasn't worked out too good. You can't shoot any deer while hunting. [He killed my crew right after I hunted and shot one.] One the second try I made it over an ocean and ran out of ammo. I had 1 crewmate left-Itachi-and I ran out of food 'cuz carl kept desiding to do stuff that kept making me fall behind, lose health, lose ammo, or lose food.
