Antares thought for a moment. "I should, it hasn't left my classroom since you first gave it to me...hold on a second..." He opened a few of the draws in his desk until he found a wooden box, padlocked shut. He unlocked it and opened it. The book was sitting inside, right where Antares left it. He picked it up and handed it to Ryu. "I assume you want it back because you're looking for something?" He said curiously.

"I guess you could call it that. I need to find how to get one's demon powers back." Ryu said as began reading the book.

Antares looked at him, raising an eyebrow. "Lost powers? Ryu, what have you been getting yourself into lately?" He asked, although the question was a little more rhetorical than an actual question.

"Let's just say I did an exchange for a soul. The good news is that I saved someone's life, but the bad news is that the demon war is in a week and if I don't get my powers back by then I will lose my title and probably die since I can't use my full demon side because it's considered cheating." Ryu told Antares as he continued to skim through the book in hope to find an answer.

Antares just stared at him. "Well, depending on how long it's been, you should have told me sooner. Are you allowed a little outside help in this war? If so and you haven't gotten your powers back, you could always borrow some weapons and armor I've enchanted. It's not quite the same as using your own powers and weapons, but at least it'll lessen the chance of you getting killed."

Ryu thought for a moment. "The war rules go as follows: One must depend soley on one's own powers and body. If one uses any type of mechanism, defense, weaponry, etc. that is not rightfully yours or has come from one's powers it is not to be used in battle/war. If a demon is catched violating this rule, he/she will be sentenced to death immediately." Ryu said as he sighed. "I lost my powers yesterday. Is there still any chance I can get them back?"
(my whole brain just exploded in thinking about this rules burning_eyes I'm not good with that kind of stuff xp )

(ha, neither am I...although I have a tendancy to make up a lot of crap and it ends up sounding correct anyway xd )
Antares nodded. "I see...As for your chances, it's hit and miss with demons. By the looks of it, you haven't suffered majorly when you lost them, so the process should be fairly quick. However, that could be just relatively speaking. Best case scenario, you get them back just before the war starts...worst case scenario...you won't be alive long enough to see them return." He said bluntly. Antares never was one to be able to say just the optimistic opinion without mentioning the pessimistic one.

Ryu looked at Antares with a sarcastic smile. "Thanks dude! You just made my day better." he said as he continued reading. "So you know a way of getting them back?"

Antares shook his head. "Unfortunately not. I haven't read that book since the last time we needed it. Plus I have had my hands full with teaching the weaponry class. The students are becoming a lot more annoying, if it's alright me saying. They slack off a lot and whine when it gets a little too hard for them." He put a hand to his forehead and shook his head slightly. "The students that are obedient and always hardworking are a rare sight nowadays."

"That sucks. I guess I'm glad that I stopped being a teacher, but then again...I became the last thing I wanted so it still sucks pretty much." Ryu said as his eyes widened. "Found it!" he yelled as he stood up. "I know how to become my half demon side again, but I need to give up my full demon side for it." Ryu said as he thought about it.

Antares raised an eyebrown when Ryu said he found it. "Hmm, giving up your full demon side...Are you sure you want to go through with that? From what I've heard, a demons full side is one of the most powerful aspects of your race. You would be losing a great deal of strength by doing so."

"Yea, but....everytime I turn into my full demon side is like I'm a totally different person. I enjoy killing in that form. I almost broke my engagement with Anna yesterday becauase of that form. Plus, in what does it help to have a full demon side if one can't even use it at war?" Ryu said sighing. "I still need to learn to control it..."

Antares nodded, Ryu had a valid argument. "I see your point. In any case, if you need my help with the process at all, just let me know. I may need to go back to fixing a katana in a moment...two of the students in my class this morning thought it would be fun to try and slice a boulder with it. Needless to say, it shattered the sword completely." He said, the last comment being in a slightly more irritated tone.

"Kids this days don't appreciate the art of the sword." Ryu said with a disappointed tone of voice. "Actually ,there is one thing you could help in, but it might be dangerous though."
