KeJoRo I agree Choic, for horror on the PS3, Dead Space is the way forward razz not even really. it's fun & atmospheric & has the slickest interface i've ever seen in a game. it's an action third-person shooter tho, not horror. Siren is the only real horror (as in with actual intent to scare) title I can think of on the PS3 to recommend until Silent Hill or the new Suda project drop. I think the only other horror games in general are F.E.A.R (which is awful imo but I can see the appeal) & Condemned

@choic: Hahaha, well- I bought RE5 because I own the 0-4 Gamecube remakes of the games (and Code veronica- ******** Code Veronica) as well as the Resident evil chronicle rail-shooters for the Wii. BUT basically I bought it so I can see shirtless Wesker /fanboyism.
Heavy Rain I'm actually going to be borrowing from my bff (heavensdark), so I'm not buying it. I haven't heard of Blood curse BUT okay! InFamous IS on sale and does look really good
Isn't Dead space ALSO on the Wii? Which version should I get?
@Meep: HOLY s**t I HAVE ALWAYS WANTED TO OWN A FABLE GAME. Seriously. I was always upset that I didn't have a console that they came out on. Fable 3 has become a DEFINITE. I guess it was stupid to make it sound like I'm totes unfamiliar with RPGs. I've played a few MMO's, some Tales of games, Paper Mario, Super Mario RPG, and a few others that are escaping my mind... SO I'll think about Mass Effect as well, because I HAVE heard a hell of a lot about it.
I will update my first post with a list of games as soon as I get home from work

I am relatively sure that both Mass Effect and fable 2 are both xbox 360 exclusives so yeah but I dont know if you own a 360 but if you do you should pick it up. Some good PS3 games are Flower (download game), Valkyria Chronicles, Demon Souls, Street Fighter IV, Ratchet & Clank Future: A Crack in Time, Super StardustHD (download), Oblivion, Wipeout HD, Resistance: Fall of Man, Warhawk (really good multiplayer), Burnout Paradise. These are must have; God of War 3, Infamous, Modern Warfare 2, Batman Arkham Aslyum, Killzone 2, Uncharted 1+2, Fallout 3, Grand Theft Auto 4, and Metal Gear Solid 4. I also know of some sports games if you want to know but I didnt list them

I've played condemned, albeit the original on my uncle's 360. But if you play it in the right atmosphere (dark, quiet room), it is really quite scary in certain bits, especially if you have it set to the optimum brightness so you can see "enough", but most of the screen is too dark to know what's going on.

i love all of the RE games except for Nemesis & a few of the spin-offs. 5 is not an RE game. 5 is an absolute ******** you like wesker, you should not play this game. they mercilessly slaughter everything good about him. same with chris & jill. they might as well have just put in a new cast because these characters don't resemble who they're supposed to be at all. not to mention this is one of the most unapologetically racist games i've seen since custer's revenge. if you enjoy seeing enslaved angry africans being killed & abused by burly white dudes, just get a Roots box set. the new virus is ridiculous & awful. unless you plan on playing co-op, forget having fun, because the AI is horrendous. in fact, you can almost forget having fun with co-op, because this game tries to apply the classic RE controls to an almost pure action game which does not worki will never understand why people waste $$$ on this game. but then again i like Rule of Rose so i guess i can't judge lol heavy rain is cool. i regret buying it since there's not much reason to play it again, but i have a bunch of friends that want to borrow it so at least it's getting some use~ Blood Curse is amazing. it's sort of like the Scream of video games if Scream was a little more horror. it's a parody of american re-makes of japanese movies & also a streamlined re-imagining of the original Siren. it's really, really cool. if you want to see if you like it it comes in episodes, so you can pick up the first episode for a few bucks & test it out that way. i'm pretty sure the original demo is still on the PSN too Extraction is just a rail shooter prequel, not the actual game. An HD update is going to come free with Dead Space 2, so you might as well just play the original & get Extraction with the sequel if you like 1 enough @kejoro: i liked the original condemned, but not enough to care about a sequel. plus i never got to finish it but don't feel like spending the $ on my own copy. the protagonist in 2 looks really cute tho redface F.E.A.R is absolute trash. fun trash, but trash. another game i'm glad i just borrowed for a bit. Dead Space's scares consist entirely of having Scythers with baby heads glued on jump out of vents. & even then they forewarn you half the time that there's going to be a baby-scyther jumping out at you because the music ramps up just before it. it's a really great game & the atmosphere is fantastic. it's like Event Horizon: The Game. & it is a v. tense game. but it's about as scary as cheap halloween decorations. (lol nerdrage)

MEEP I AM ANGRY AT YOU! I GOT ALL EXCITED ABOUT FABLE 3 AND THEY'RE RIGHT, IT'S XBOX EXCLUSIVE ;_;
@Amigo: I have the psn points to buy flower.... BUT I think it looks kind of stupid. Is it a game? Is it actually fun? Am I going to be annoyed after I beat it that I spent money on it? Give me details.
@Choic: I don't know, just something about Code Veronica makes me rage. Claire's ALRIGHT but she sort of annoys me, at times.
I have actually watched all of the cutscenes in RE5 online like a week after the game came out. BUT, here's the kicker: I got the game for free. They had a buy two-used things get one used thing free at Gamestop the weekend I bought my PS3 and RE5 was my free thing. I'm not expecting for it to be fantastic... I'm not even expecting to like it all that much. BUT I feel like I've made a commitment to play through these games, so I should see it finish.
(spoilers: Even though blondeJill makes me RAGE and deadWesker makes me RAGE, I want to see it all happen myself. D:) AND I AM going to be playing it co-op... That I've already decided. It's the reason I haven't touched it at all yet.

If I remember correctly, Flower is one of those artsy games.
I think it has to do with controlling a flower petal through worlds while grabbing more flower petals and making everything bloom and such.

I liked Claire better in 2. the twins are awesome tho oh, cool beans if it was free. but once you're done with that s**t, trade it in for something decent

Don't ask me why I suggested XBox exclusive games... My thought process was PS3 > good games > xbox games
SORRY LOL

The only games i've actually bought with my own money to play on the ps3 my boyfriend has are Bioshock (it was on sale, scared the s**t out of me and i haven't touched it since....) and Assassin's creed. I would totes recommend both the first and second Assassin's creed games. Running around stabbing people with a wrist-blade is the most satisfying thing in the entire world. I spent literally hours and hours and hours stabbing people, climbing s**t, and stabbing more people. Oh, and the storyline is okay, I guess.. :p

Move "Dead Space" to the "Game to Buy" list. Do it, do it now. smile
Edit:
Also, Choic-- I must be dumb as balls then because I never knew when they were coming and it ALWAYS scared me when they popped out.
