"Obviously I am oblivious to magic!" he said in a sarcastic tone, "I have no idea to find power in words that invoke strength not of my own. Obviously magic is so much different, let's see..." he said, pausing to look into the sky, pretending to think about it. "It can make you live longer, so can staying fit, it can strike down your enemies, so can numerious other physical things, it can make you feel different, as if something there that makes you feel whole, so can the company of others" he was purposely mocking magic. Another thing that he hated was that people thought that some things were 'different' than others. As if something surpassed another. He knew his talents could easily have it's flaws, and so did magic.
He had heard what Atmadja said, again, it shook him to the core. Mixed feelings of hate and warmth flooded him, but his body showed nothing. Value, he never viewed himself valuable, only a tool. That's what he dedicated his life to.

He heard TY speak, and now only rage filling him. He barked back at him, "You are not higher than me, Seer. Don't think so highly of yourself. Immortal, fey, centuar, human, all doesn't matter. Wetboy, assassin, mage, seer, all doesn't matter. To bad you bastards are to blinded by your god damn jobs that you fail to see the common connection. You all feel. Bitterness, joy, hate, rage, confusion, and so on, but you all are so hung up on your magic or skills or positions that you can't admit weaknesses" his tone harsh, his face a twisted expression of disgust and hate.
He threw the ingredients he had picked up to the ground. He was tired of people, tired of himself. Personally, he hated himself. This was a man who fought hard to hallow himself out. He walked toward an area where the shadows were blocking his way. He pulled his magic that was the remains of his time as an immortal. The magic swam in his skin, changing it to the color of night, his face covered by a mask. This mask held hatred, envy, anger, jelousy, fear, the mask he wore was the face of retribution itself. Blue fires flicked from his eyes, danced from his mouth as he talked. He pushed through the shadows and left, the ground where his feet were had lost color and turned white, stripped of it's life, wilted and frozen.
He went off to the Ruins, there at least was something that was just as decayed as his heart was.

Atmadja could only listen as Ezra spoke in a rage. She could feel his distress and anguish in his words, and in turn, the elemental balance inside her began to stir. She couldn't get through his troubled thoughts to connect to his mind to speak to him, all she could do was stand there as he went on. However, when he began to retort to TY who had made his presence clear, she knew that he was talking to her too. She couldn't blame him in the least for his feelings and opinions, but the way he spoke, wheather to her or not, was enough to bring tears to her eyes. Looking at her at first glance, you wouldn't think her to be kind or emotional, but she certainly wasn't a cold blooded reptile. Atmadja was going to follow after him, try to talk to Ezra, but she lost him as he went further into the shadows, both physically and mentally. She didn't know if Ezra could still hear her from where he was, but she spoke to Carthose in any case wheather he could or not.
"You are not worthy to bear the power and abilities you possess with your magic. With your distorted views and twisted opinions, you shouldn't even bear life within yourself. You speak so highly of yourself and your powers, but do you really know how to use them? Without your magic you wouldn't be any more than a shell of what you are now, and thats only because you rely so heavily on what you are capable of with it. Magic isn't a dependancy, its a gift, and the way your treating it, you should have it taken away," she hissed at Carthose, her once soft eyes now sharp as she glared at him. Without a second more, she unfolded her massive wings, without a care of hitting the trees as she took off from the forest, leaving a massive up wind, strong enough to knock Carthose to the ground.
The elements were beginning to war within her from all the distraught emotions that were about, and she began to feel sick and weak. Not seeing any sign of Ezra anywhere, she flew back to the palace to return to her domain.

Carthose only shook his head at Ezra's and Armadja's comments. "Dependacy is a overused term. I value magic as a tool, nothing more. Weakness however is something easy to admit." Looking around, Carthose merely nodded. "TY, your words should fill them with peace. But they are to stubborn to admit their own weaknesses. You understand the struggle i face every day. You feel thse same struggles. Please, join me in my study later this day." Waving his hand in front of him, a dark swirling vortex appeared. "I only say later, as i have some cleaning to do." Stepping through the portal, he dissappeared fromt he grove and stood in his study.

'Cleaning...'
If he had been there in his corporeal form, TY might have rolled his eyes or smirked at the thought.
In reality, Carthose was probably going to take the time to put something away that he didn't want TY to find. That was fine with him. He would oblige by the Guard's wish, and wait a few hours before stopping by.
Pulling his presence back, TY left the last occupant of the small gathering to continue his trek through the trees, while the Lord of Shadow let his ever watchful eyes once again spread out and blanket the forest.

Deep within the Shadow Forests, where the impeding darkness made it impossible to judge the time of day, there rested a small building. Hidden, both by the maze of the dark trees and the magics meant to shield it from prying souls, Carthose's study rested.
Through the shadows of the trees, a small figure appeared with shape and size similar to that of a cat or raccoon. Rather gingerly, it trespassed up to the threshold of the entrance, paused a moment to look behind itself back into the trees, then turned back to scratch at the door twice with one clawed paw.
The small visitor wore a coat so dark, it could have been woven from the shadows which it came from, which in fact, it was.

Carthose paused from his book as he looked up at the door. "Come in TY." Feeling the seer come into his study, Carthose put his book on the table and turned to him. "Ah, seer. Very nice of you to join me." Pointing over to a table with some glasses and a pitcher of dark red liquid, Carthose began to make some object float around him. "Help yourself to the wine. It is some of the private store of the King himself. The large buffoon..."

The small shadow-creature grew in size to mimic TY's natural form, as it crossed the threshold and moved into the presence of the immortal king's personal guard.
"What's the occasion?"
TY queried as he gracefully moved over to the aforementioned table where the beverage was.

Looking at the multitude of objects floating around him, Carthose nodded as he grabbed a small charm. "The occasion, is the very thing that my fey counterpart has been searching for is in my possesion." Showing TY the small eagle head charm, he turned it in his palm. "The Fey have sought this little charm for centuries. With it, they could ensure their kings safety. But in the hands of one such as me..." He chuckled behind his mask, clutching the trinket tightly. "I can destroy them. This is the secret to our victory TY."

Foregoing the wine offered to him, TY turned to see the small charm held within Carthose's grasp.
"And..?"
There was something that the host wasn't saying. Not that this was unusual, men like TY and Carthose always had something to hold back.
"I've told you a hundred times, I'm done with the petty fights that exist between the people. I've done my part already."

Carthos nodded as he slid his hands into the pockets of his coat. "Of course Seer. But you are the only one i can trust. The wetboy makes idle threats, and the healer fears me." Walking over to the window, he looked into the Shadow Forests and sighed. "But i have a duty i must fullfill first. Protect the King when he makes his march with the wolf Alpha into the Centaur lands to make ready for battle. But once we reach the south, then my duty is done."

"You know if I didn't owe you a favor, I wouldn't still be here."
TY, finally having gotten Carthose down to the heart of the topic at hand, wiped off the seat of a chair before having a seat in it.
With a smile on his face, the shadowman brought the pleasantries to a close.
"Just tell me what you need me to do..."

Carthose explained what his plan was to TY, and shed some light on the part the seer would play in it. "And that is what is to happen. It is a flawless plan, and no one shall see it comming." Taking a seat across fromt TY, he picked his book up again. "Now my friend, i am in a very interesting part of this story. If you could leave me, i iwll tell you next time i head into the palace. You'll need to know a few things about it later..."

As Carthose returned to his reading, the imitation TY did as asked and took his leave of the place. His whole shadow-made body began to shrink and disperse until all that remained was a small black calling card. Black and blank, the card floated down to land on the desk where the book was just resting a moment before.
Their conversation ended, and terms agreed upon, the two immortals went back to their respective ways.
At least for a little while.

It was off the beaten path, the trickle of water echoed off the trees. An agitated snort echoed over the serene sound. The palomino steed was gazing at the area where his master disappeared. She had left him tied up at the top of the ravine. Usually he would wait patiently but he had heard sounds enough to make him uneasy.

Down at the edge of the stream. The water seemed to look like black liquid. It ran quickly without barely any white crests over the bedrock. The girl had reached her bare hand into the frozen water to retrieve what looked to be a type of moss. Sucking in the cool air as she dipped her other hand into the water to steady the plant. Scraping at the rock to release the plant’s hold with the knife to retrieve the plant.

“Freezing… cold… water…”

She whispered it slowly, enduring the chill effects and quickly pulling her hands and the plant out of the water with the knife. She had almost lost control of the knife, as it was so cold in the dark water. Both the plant and the knife dropped from her grasp as she leaned back on the balls of her feet. Drying her hands off upon her legs first, she then slipped her hands into some gloves. The knife and the plant lay at her feet as she stuck her now gloved hands under her arms. She would give it a moment before wrapping the plant and putting her knife away since the burning sensation was still upon her fingertips as they regained heat. As she took in the moment, she stood. Giving the area a look over.
