Choice sounds like a winning deal.
Though I feel MCs might get chosen more.
I also had an idea like Rose here, about a clan pool, might even raise donations if it reaches IE proportions.
Though it also feels like that's pushing it.

Well the thing with pooling money is that people are sending in gold. Here is another thing, we HAVE contests with high price prizes but we never get enough participation. Let alone, like I said, it would take 10 people sending in 50+k at once to be able to nab an EI and still have gold left to speak of.
And when the time comes for clan bonuses to be bought with orbs, we will hopefully be seeing some additional action.

Tough choice really. The MCs are a bit of a gamble if you dont like them. You could always do a duel contest but that just adds to the amount that the clan dishes out. Honestly I'd say leave the MC contest and just add a new type of contest for power up. Why limit ones self to one way of getting members involved with the clan?

We've actually had a number of contests in the past that all dried up due to lack of people interested. Also to note that our gold resources have been taxed by the MC contest so dividing that gold weakens the MC contest. I am waiting for more to happen before I open up other contests again.

Hmm in that case you could always do a reward tier. If so much is donated the prize will be this, is more is donate the prize will be that, sort of like how a childs school fundraiser is ran... but of course with prizes worth trying for

It's understandable that not enough people are getting in this one month MC reward! And Pat is right, it is a bit of a gamble!
I think that the problem too many people (Does not matter if it's in or out of this clan) Everyone seems to want guarantees but the Clan has to grow! for right now MC's or power ups are the only things that are affordable!
And I will also place my vote on Lynn's Idea for now! Until the Dev's complete there high priorities maybe there will be better things that will come our way that will be worth gambling for like maybe Rings if possible I would go for something like that or power ups!
That pretty much I can say for now! I don't know anything better to say that help....

Actually once we have our resources built back up as well as my personal resources built back up, we will be giving out more prizes each month. We used to give out three letters at a time and had to take it down to one.
So yes, once our resources can handle the strain, we will be giving our prize tiers. For right now, I am seeing the option as being a good thing. If we get more gold and resources to build gold on the mule, we will be able to toss more prizes out.
Hopefully, I plan to get participation going and focused into the game so we can perpetuate more profit, etc. Syko and I've been talking about what our intent is to get people into more orbs.
I figured I would discuss this now as I do plan to give out Orb Doublers as a matter of course later, regardless of the outcome of this discussion and not attached to the MC contest.
Summary: Discussion and possible Monthly contest change now with extra Orb Doublers being given out later regardless. So the clan can expect to see extra gifts given to those who help the clan the most.

umm about the word clan pool. I am not good with remembering some things gonk I just remember Draco talking about something here in the clan about giving gold and about a letter every month. Other than that I know nothing else about it.

The collection record should have a decent summary of how the contest works. I shall summarize here though.
Basically it goes from the 15th to the 15th, when letters open. Any donation sent before the next letter opens AND reported in the thread gets put down for the contest. I select a winner when the letter opens, send the letter, and we move onto the next round.
I am a stickler for reporting your donation, I want to just check the thread, make a decision, and get it done.
But yea, that is how the clan pool works. Also, if for some reason a loot item or ink is needed, that transaction can be discussed in our exchange area with a thread made.

True but a reward tier encourages donating especially if you have a bit of a tracker so that we know how close we are go getting the next teir. I for one should I see the clan was only 15k short of getting to the next teir would go play booty grab for ten more minutes and donate
