Rhyperior is way over the top and unnecessary IMO

Shyts and Giggles I've always been meaning to use a Shedinja, but I haven't gotten around to breeding up a good one yet. I agree that Tangrowth is completely unnecessary, it's not aesthetically pleasing, and not really much use. Tangela was useless before it evolved. They just made it bigger, and more disgusting looking.

that is not really an evolution.. rather then the whole family but i agree basically useless...
but I think preevolutions are on the whole unnecessary

Pre-evolutions are so adorable though.
Also, Brock's Happiny can lift up an entire crater of ice, that's one badass pre-evolution.

i like pre evolutions too!
i think they are good because pokemon with 3 evolutions tend to be stronger than pokemon with only 1 or none

Sorry I have been biased tword pre evos since they came out sure they are cute and if happiny was that strong I would use her. But they serve no real function in gameplay.

All of the 4th gen evolutions from the 1st gen.
They went from being semi-naturalistic, to... evolving a bit more armour or vines. Wasn't really necessary.
