Argento's eyes went wide as the red hot blade flew fast towards him and the man behind him. His next move was only a natural reaction from being a lowly thief for so long. He quickly dropped to the ground kicking his legs out forcefully behind himself to encourage Adenar to do the same. The satchels on his belt rattled with their contents as they thumped against the ground. Now lying low in the tall grass Argento used the cover to conceal his movement as he crawled slowly to a new position as not to disturb the grass and give himself away. Every so often he glanced up skyward to see which direction the smoke from the charring grass came from to help him locate one of his targets. Quickly he reached down to his boot and drew his dagger, the hardened blade gleamed once in the light almost happy to be in his hands again. He brought one leg up followed by the other till he was squatting in the grass, his eyes just able to see through the tips of the foliage. He tensed his muscles to be ready to move rapidly if needed to in case his targets decided to try another attack.

(Or we could teach a multi-person battle. Which is much more confusing, but fun.) Maxion wasn't in the least bit startled by Appocate's movements. After a thousand years, that not being overly long in the grand scheme of things, had given him enough time to face almost anything and everything possible. It was very hard to surprise the dragon at this point in his life, or to out fox him.
Maxion took in a deep breath from inside his chest and let out a stream of fire at Appocate. He knew it wouldn't do much of anything, if anything at all. The former god was much faster than the fires, and even if they hit, it's not like anything would happen to him. It wasn't as if energy could catch fire. It also wasn't like Maxion could reverse polarize him either, not in this amount of time anyway.
He gazed at the new person here and frowned, as he wasn't familiar with them. Maxion jumped to his left and flitted forward, bringing his arm, now covered in golden dragon's scales into a fist flying towards one of Appocates Diamond claws.

Shifting his weight forward Adenar darted to his left around Argento as he was falling and to the ground. He stopped suddenly and clapped. Focusing energy he created a magnetic field by using his energy to channel existing electrons in the air and earth around him. A field of magnetism made a path straight for the electricity and the blade. Dodging to the right Adenar twisted his hands and made a tossing movement to his left, altering the field so that the blade would bury itself in a lone tree at the edge of the area, the electricity also following the path. The ground underneath the field developed hairline cracks and Adenar clenched his fists. His mind was focusing entirely on his senses, his emotions ruled his power, but his instincts ruled his actions. He would not falter, not for a second, even in the face of death, and despite his anger his eyes were completely empty of all emotion, cool and calculating.
((I need help, Adenar is strong of body, and has trained enough to move extremely fast, as you may have noticed before, while moving in a straight line he is very fast, but making combat movements his overall speed is still many times that of a normal lycan. My worry is that I don't know how to show how to show the elapsing time difference from a move like that versus a move like Argento's. For while he is falling at approximately 10m/s I will probably clap my hands before he hits the ground... Will that be a problem?))

Apocate grinned as the flame engulfed him barely phasing him, but completely blocking his sight, though the sound wasn't enough to drown out the vibrations of the two Lycans moving. Unfortunately for Maxion there was something that the young dragon failed to grasp about fire, it conducts electricity, easily. Three bolts of lightning jolted back along the blaze into the dragon's throat and Apocate vanished on another bolt of lightning intentionally forced to not follow the path of least resistance, aimed directly for Adenar.
Apocate appeared above Adenar in an explosion of sound as the Lycan's hands came together in a clap. Apocate had Adenar in his sight, and though the sounds of his movement earlier were silent, these seemed less careful because he could feel the vibrations of the sound from Adenar's feet landing on the ground as his four diamond claws swung down at his head in an almost instantaneous arcing slash. Even with Adenar's speed he wouldn't have the time to avoid the strike completely, unless his instincts were perfect and his reaction was flawless.

Adenar heard the explosion and immediately found himself cursing his lack of focus. Wishing he didn't have to, Adenar quickly mustered his energy and caused the electrons in the ground to flow quickly, accelerating the the flow electrons in the air under Apocate to create a magnetic field around him of a similar charge to the earth below. Adenar was grazed by one of Apocate's claws as he rolled out from under him. Thankful to have repelled Apocate enough to avoid most of his attack Aden found himself in the direct path of a bolt of electricity. Attempting to deflect the blow Adenar swung his arm upward, manipulating the magnetic field into a cage like structure encasing him from the front. Unfortunately the bolt was not properly deflected by the makeshift field and Adenar was knocked back, body wracked with pain as the electricity grounded itself through his body. He was knocked backward and nearly fell. He again cursed his inability to avoid both attacks. His senses were sharp, but he needed to be quieter in his movement. Aden gasped and looking at Apocate realized the true power of this being was not of this world. Reaching into his shirt pockets Adenar drew two dull blue knuckles, appearing to be fashioned in the manner of the brass type.
