Kage smiled and bowed his head. Apparently it hadn't mattered that he could have bid yet higher, there had been some threat from the balcony towards the auctioneer and the poor Terran hadn't a chance in Hell competing with that kind of threat. Sometimes he wished that he had Ssinssrigg's appearance, it would have been much easier to push his own menace upon the man. Of course he did not and that left him one other device as he sat, right leg crossed over the other and stared into the auctioneer's eyes as he spoke, his voice like a silk rope wrapped around the man's throat. "Since you seem so hasty to disregard any further bidding on that particular item I think I remember something about the Vatican having laws against human trafficking. I suggest you move your point of operations to another local, outside Vatican territory."

Kage mused for a moment after that and his smile widened to something sinister. "Of course, that only leaves the Empire's lands and our Empress isn't exactly friendly towards chauvinistic men and their slave operations. So really, you see, while you may have your life for now, I wouldn't bet on keeping it for long." All of this said with a smile and a nod as he stood and exited the auction house. Or rather he appeared to exit it when indeed he merely stepped though shadowed halls with that blurring speed towards the holding room. Sometimes it was useful to frequent such things often. Of course Kage was so caught up in his confidence and objective that he hardly registered the scent of Terran behind him especially since it slowly died off the farther from the auditorium he got.

Cain's eyes lost their blood-lust red as his gaze met with the little girl, not wanting to frighten her. It was imperative that the child come to trust Cain, befriend him, even love him as a parent if his plans were to succeed.

He crouched down on his knees so that he was at her eye level. His face appeared very warm and friendly, smiling. Bending his upper half forward, he bowed his head and swept an arm under him as a butler would do to his master. "And I look forward to being served by so lovely a being as yourself, young one." His voice came out silkier than ever as he addressed her. "You may call me Master Cain. It is a pleasure to meet you. Now, what is your name?

"Well aren't you in a bind," a sweet young voice called to Kage from down the hall. A young blond boy walked out of the darkness with a giggle. He looked about 10 years of age but if anyone ever got close enough to look into the eyes of this small vampire they would see years of knowledge deep in the depths. The young Methuselah grinned as he held out his hand to the other. "You know her highness will be unhappy when she finds out you let that girl get away," he said in a sing song voice. Kai was the type of person who enjoyed poking fun at others mistakes.

Akira walked through the halls of the vatican his short black hair was slightly blowing in the wind from the outside as he side. His hands in his pockets as he looked around at the commotion around him. He ran his fingers through his hair and looked contiued to walk his eyes closed as he hummed softly to himself.
