I understand. Before starting Crosshaven, I looked for an RP for ages, and every time I found one that was literate, it was inhospitable.
There are adults on Gaia, and mature teens, they're just in the minority.
I'm sorry about your sour experiences. They can turn a person off to Gaia completely. I've had a few myself, to the point that I don't roleplay on Gaia at all outside of the guild.
I feel lucky for being among so many good RPers in this guild. I think that will be made even moreso by having the two of you with us.

Hergo It's hard to find mature posters. I get told that I'm too old to be playing around on Gaia. rolleyes S'yeah, like this site was created exclusively for 14-year-olds. Noones too OLD to browse the internet or even toy around on Gaia. Sheesh. If anything, this place can be a way to--sort of, in an indirect way--act younger. I'm 18 and virtually emotionless when it comes to meeting new people--so this website helps a lot with that. Actually, internet in general helps me make friends... all by my shy self! sweatdrop

I've been thinking about starting a V:tM game. (not running it for God's sake, just getting it rolling and playing in it occasionally.) Dice adds a necessary element to this RP, I think. I completely agree. Dice was a nice touch. Now if only all the bugs and glitches were taken care of... Come to think of it--a total clean of members, an age minimum, and some major downtime to fix everything they can may be a welcome sight to mine eyes. It would be a fresh start--oh if it were only possible. sweatdrop

A red rimmed portal sears the air around them, and a lithe figure dressed provocatively saunters through, She holds a black staff behind her, glowing faintly.
"Hmmmmm. Hollow has a fan girl...how adorable." Elenca states with mild distain. She appears vaguely ill, as if she just swallowed something upleasant. She darts glances to everyone else, her blood filled eyes gleaming with malice.
"Cute little halfbreeds aren't you all? Perhaps you would like to visit my humble abode yes? Dark labyrinths are always fun--" Elenca chuckles grimly, while bouncing bloodfire in her palms. "Well, for me anyway. See you around little darlings..."
Then with a crimson wink, she departs this plane in a whirl of red.

Oh you're so kind! heart Matter of fact, everyone is kind on here and it makes me feel all warm and spongey inside... not sure if that is 'good', but it does! xd Me and the Amalla-meister, here, we're good friends in Real Life. RPing together will be interesting, I can guarantee it. Although... this time, the difference in our characters might not let us bounce off the walls, destroy things, get drunk and all those other fun things it takes to run the old Inn. I must admit, I have not Rped in a long time due to immaturity of the rest of Gaia. However, I tend to get a little crazy in my descriptions and always push this little PG-13 world to the brim. Hee hee..... Anyway, make sure you know what is going on in a RP before jumping in....however, most should accept you here in crosshaven with open arms. Though in River's case...that might not be a good thing. ::evil laugh::

Either by one year, two or even three. Not only THAT, but I'm sure there are adults on here either not posting their birthday and acting like kids, ARE posting their age and doing that, or posting the wrong age and PRETENDING to be a kid. Its sick, but it happens everywhere... no doubt on here, too. *Puke.* gonk

Though in River's case...that might not be a good thing. ::evil laugh:: I make it a point to review old posts before jumping in--because it causes SO many unwanted problems if you dont. biggrin Those kids in the RP thread I complained about didnt do that, they quoted old posts and it was HORRIBLY confusing. sweatdrop I like it here, thanks! I was only playing around. However, it might be good idea to peruse the antagonists of Crosshaven. Elenca is a mage...full fledged wizard (or sorceress if you will) her father is a very bad man (He is not here in Crosshaven----yet) She is half sister to Fauntine, and both siblings have some issues between them. Since Elenca is mage...she considers the rest of crosshaven--save for Fauntine and Nairu (cross of life and death) to be halfbreeds...something she distains immensely. You might want to go to the Role playing threads and look into the "Labyrinth of Shadows", or "Cabin in the Woods"...she also has a habit of appearing at will through portals....so you never know where she might pop up.
Needless to say...she is one of the people you DO NOT want to run into.

Though in River's case...that might not be a good thing. ::evil laugh:: I tend to work on the assumption that if I'm not willing to take the time to read the back posts and get a feel for the RP, I probably won't be willing to devote the energy to participating in it, either. Which leads to me being rather slow about joining new threads, but hey...At least I'm dedicated?
