I was raised in a Christian family. Fairly open-minded. My grandfather was a really great person. He focused on the ideals like love thy neighbor, honor your father and mother, etc etc. The positive stuff.
Anyway, a friend told me how a bunch of overzealous pricks picketed the late metalhead Dio's funeral. He showed me Michael Moore's confrontation with the Westboro Baptist Church. I'll be honest, I didn't even really know this was going on. Save for the court case between a marine and the WBC where the family fought for the right to have a peaceful funeral.
It's a ******** joke. While a lot of religions have the same set of standards, no one practices what they preach. neutral It's unfortunate that idiots like Phelps are completely destroying religion in a positive light. But the guy's 80 years old, so hopefully he won't be around for much longer. He's got a big family, sure, but sheep are confused without a shepherd. At least a couple of his sons know well enough. In any case, assuming one does believe in heaven and hell, it's comforting to know where this p***k will end up.

The Fullmetal Princess I honestly don't believe that any religion has quite nailed it yet, because if there really was a god, we'd know which religion was right by now.I disagree, its just that some people are to proud to listen, and us defined "asshats" are not trying to be rude, or "asshats". Some of us believe that the time is coming, and we want to save some people. And Princess, if the Bible was not always correct, how come in the Bible, it says this: " You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places." Look what happened to Haiti, Chili, etc. I believe that there is a greater power, cause then what would of created the Grand Canyon? Also, how could fossils be up in mountains if there wasn't the Flood? I believe that there is a greater power, cause no "Big Bang" could have created all this, and life would have no meaning, just live, lose your virginity, become selfish, care only about yourself, then die.

It's best not to dwell on questions we can't answer. If there is an afterlife we will find out when or if we get there. Untill then, well, life is short and you will probably have your answer soon enough. so just be patient.

I'm Muslim. Yes, let the hatin' begin. No seriously, I ain't a terrorist, unless you steal my stuff, then I go crazy on you. I wasn't born Muslim, no, my dad was from birth but I wasn't my mom refused and for years she refused to listen to my dad. Around the time I turned 8, she converted. I dunno what made her do it, but she did.
Although, I've always wanted to scare off the Mormons by answering the door in a goat blood covered shirt and saying in a real polite voice, "What is it? I'm busy making a sacrifice." not sure if that'll work though.

You really piss me off with your pushy religious nonsense. The Bible isn't the only historical piece of literature that "predicts" events such as these. On that same note the words earthquake and famine are very broad terms in ways of "predicting" future events. War is human nature, and no place on the planet is protected from economic hardships and weather patterns. I'm not saying that the events portrayed in the Bible are false(most of them, anyway), I never said that, and you'd be wise to actually read my posts once and a while. >.> I just don't think that someone should build their belief structure on a book. It'd be like people millenia from now preaching the word of Harry Potter, or The Neverending Story; ridiculous to think about? My point exactly. I don't believe in god, haven't since I was 11 years old, and you're not going to change that. The fact that you constantly quote me and push your beliefs and nonsense on me is borderlining on harassment. I'd appreciate it if you never quoted me again. I respect your views, and will never, never push mine on you. I expect the same in return. That being said, if you want to come at me with your own words instead of Bible quotes and "proof" that you read in a damn pamphlet only to vomit back onto your computer monitor, then we'll talk. Until then, please save your narrow-minded stupidity for yourself. <3

Haha, this reminds me of a conversation.
Quote: The Scientologist: The bible has so many holes. The Chrisitan: Why do you say that? The Scientologist: In the begining there was darkness and with god just speaking words there was light? The Christian: Well and scientology doesn't? The Scientologist: Nope. The Christian: Really? In the beginning there was nothing, and then THAT exploded.

^ your conversations often ends with that, doesn't it? xp
When I hear the word 'god', I think of the many versions people believe in. And the fact that I never really found a version that appeals to me. What I think is that the word 'god' is used so often in so many different situations that I don't believe any of them at all any more. Sometimes I try to exchange the word 'god' for 'all beautiful things in live'. That helps sometimes (though it's a bit to... emotional). Thoughts about this?

I'm atheist, always have been; it's how I was raised.
It, however, does not serve me well at high school. My school is about 99.5% super-conservative, intolerant Christians. Most of them are either not intelligent people or smart people who pretend to be dumb to fit in (there ARE a few people I get along well with, but not a whole lot and for the sake of the rant I'm pretending they don't exist). I mean, a lot of them are nice but that really doesn't mean much except in school politics, which I wouldn't last a second in because of my lack of popularity, even though I'd probably do better than the people who were elected.
You know something's up when most of the kids at your school are pissed at the overturning of Prop 8. xP
I pretty much despise them all. [/rant]

Now draw yourself out a map! map out the highschool. think about what your doing now. wasting your life masterbating in front of a computer? they're probably all laughing at you right now. Yes! get angry. They won't be laugh at you for long. because while they're make fun of you, we're planning. Now where's the most populated spot in the highschool at 3pm...

Did I mention they're all rednecks who are armed to the teeth for deer hunting and who bring knives to school in their pockets? Who're probably all better than me at fighting (and certainly have actually shot a gun in their lives) and could disarm me if they tried?
...No, I guess I didn't. xP
