Applepaw thought if she should ask to go to the Hunting Patrol, and she meowed to her leader, "Can I go along as well? I'm fine, really."
Sunpaw meowed, "I can go hunting too Lunarstar." She meowed, with a glance at Applepaw.

((Yeah, Redfur's an NPC.))
Lunarstar sighed. "Too many apprentices at once will scare off the prey," She explained."Also, every apprentice will have to have a warrior with them to leave camp for a moon after the Great Battle. We can't risk it with the camp so weak. Berrydapple, you should pair up with Webpaw. Go with Scarletfire and Larkpaw."

Berrydapple nodded. "Let's go then," she said padding out of camp.
Webpaw shrugged and follwoed his mother out into the forest.
Dawnpaw nodded to Lunarstar and padded over to Redfur. She sniffed his wounds and nodded knowing which herbs to get. She went into the medicien den and got marigold, cobwebs and poppy seeds. She padded back out and applied the marigold onto Redfur's wounds and then wrapped them in cobwebs so the mairgold woudn't come off. This was her own idea that she never figured medicine cats did before. Then she nudged the poppy seeds forward. "Here eat these and get plenty of rest," she said. The warrior nodded nad lapped up the black seeds. Dawnpaw quickly grabbed more supplies and padded into the warriors den. She kenw her father was in pain so she went over to him. "Hello Bumbleroot. I'm here to treat you," she said.
Bumbleroot looekd at his daughter and smiled. "Thanks the worst of my wounds are on my chest and back," he said.
Dawnpaw nodded and did the same thing she did to Redfur. "Eat some poppy seeds to ease the pain. Soon we'll have to move you to the medicine cat den, but for now stay here," she said padding out of the den.
Bumbleroot nodded and licked up the poppy seeds. They slowly took effect and he closed his eyes and fell asleep.

Applepaw meowed, "Yes Lunarstar." With a side-long glance at Webpaw, she padded out of the Den, meowed, "Come on Sunpaw, the moss won't carry itself here."
Sunpaw narrowed her eyes. She stomped right out of camp, without a glance at her sister. She won't talk to her still.
Applepaw gave a sigh. She didn't know what to say, or do to make her happy again. Why couldn't she understand? Why couldn't she just...Stay out of her way? Why couldn't she just be happy for her? So many questions, not enough answers. Applepaw padded to a trunk, and started to take the moss off, carefully without taking any bark, or dirt.
Sunpaw sat to work next to her sister. Quiet.

=Scarletfire= Scarletfire nodded, and with a quick glance she flicked her tail to signal that the cats on the hunting patrol should follow. "Come on, the prey won't catch itself." She mewed, before bounding threw the entrance. -Thornpelt- _ Thornpelt called after Sunpaw and Applepaw, "Make sure there are no prickers in the moss."

Applepaw meowed, "Alright Thornpelt!" And she checked over the moss she had taken off the log. Taking out a couple of prickers, she went back to work, and after a while, meowed, "Sunpaw, can you stop being mad at me? I hate this feeling of loneliness!" She meowed sadly as she looked at her sister.
Sunpaw stopped working, flicking a patch of dirt off her claw and meowed, "I will stop being mad, once you start hanging out with me again, and not mooning over you-know-who." Sunpaw kept stripping the moss off the trunk, carefully checking it over and then laying it on the pile of moss.

Applepaw felt her muscles tense and her sad gaze hardened. "What? Are you kidding me Sunpaw? How can you say that?" Applepaw turned away from her sister, and she kept on taking the moss out with her claw. She meowed, "No way. You can't force how I feel, and if that's the only way you'll be my sister again, then, I won't do it." Applepaw stood up with the moss clamped tightly in her jaws. She walked to another trunk, and began to work there.
Sunpaw let out a growl of frustration and she slid her claws down the trunk, throwing up pawfuls of moss and bark. Splinter's ocassionally sprang at her paws, making her stop. Sunpaw looked at what she just did, and in dismay, realized that she had shredded the majority of the moss in the trunk. The moss she had picked was filled with splinters and prickers. Sunpaw looked at her paws. A couple of splinters in each. Quickly, she fastened her teeth around them, and pulled, pulled pulled... Eventually, she took out the splinters. She quickly rasped her tongue over it, before the blood dried. Then, she carefully began to take the bark, splinters and prickers in the moss, silent.

Grayfur yawned and padded up to Thornpelt. "You better make sure my moss is dry, youngsters," She rasped, and then turned to Thornpelt. "Times these days are so much easier then before," She added, shaking her head.
Lunarstar glanced over, silver tail twitching. What was this feeling of unease? She knew something was going to happen soon, and her icy blue eyes narrowed. Someone was going to die. Soon. ((Cough cough, prophecy cat?))

((Yes, Sunpaw is about to die. Watch.))
Sunpaw examined the moss. The majority of splinters seemed to be gone. So, she picked up the moss in between her jaws, and padded towards camp. But then, Sunpaw felt a sudden, sharp pain in her throat. She dropped the moss and she gave a screech of pain, that soon turned to a whimper of terror. Sunpaw had a splinter lodged in her throat! She fell to the ground, fur bristled, eyes wide, and making a choking, hacking sound as blood bubbled in her lips. Sunpaw withered, pawing up paw-fulls of grass, before she screeched once more, weakly, and she spat a clot of blood.
Applepaw raced over to her sister, dropping the moss, and screeching, "Sunpaw! Sunpaw!"
Sunpaw saw her sister, and she reached out a paw. She laid her paw on her sister's chest, before she fell back, limp, and the light faded from her eyes.

=Scarletfire= Scarletfire pricked her ears, alert at the yowl of destress. She stopped in her tracks, turning back to look Lunarstar in the eye. -Thornpelt- Thornpelt nodded his head. "So much easier, but much harder." He whispered.

The ring of Sunpaw's yowl went through Webpaw's ears. He rushed over to it and spotted the apprentice and her sister on the ground. "What happened?" he asked stoppe ding in front of them. There was blood everywhere. No, no! She'll go to the Dark Forest for sure, he thought.
Berrydapple stopped at her son and the two she-cats. "Oh no!" she cried. She couldn't believe it. Sunpaw was truely dead now. And there was nothing anyone could do.

Applepaw's eyes were filled with sadness, and she was distraught. "Sunpaw!" She wailed. "My sister is dead! She's going to the Dark Forest!" Applepaw threw her head back and gave a wail of sadness and loss. She buried her head to her sister's fur, and she felt emotional.

Webpaw put his tail on Applepaw's shoulder. "I'm sorry," he said. He actually felt sorry for the she-cat. He could never imagine if he lost his sister to the Dark Forest.
