Looks like I'll be in Japan for the majority of my summer ... I'll be attending the Tokai University ... one of the best judo schools in the world ...

2008 Olympic Judo highlights

I've been watching a lot of Olympic highlights lately ... and it got me thinking of countries that have high level judoka ...

Japan (of course)
Korea (their practically neighbors)
Brazil (makes sense)
Russia (for Mother Russia)
Netherlands (dark horse)
Cuba (suprisingly)

These countries genrally dominate the landscape and when they are matched up with each other ... well it trully is an epic chess match looking for ippon ...
