Trace Adkins
'Cause it's songs about me,
And who I am.
Songs about loving and living,
And good hearted women,
And family and God.

No really, a lot of it is the lyrics. I can actually tell what they're saying, and they're usually saying something interesting!

as almost everyone else has stated on here, you can relate to it. it touches every aspect of our lives and reflects the variation of people that we are. the sound isnt all the same with each new artist, and there's just a draw that pulls me into it from my core... i just love it smile

The first time I really listened to a country song it was after highschool and it really fit the way I felt. I was shocked when the DJ announced the station was country, but I just kept coming back hoping to hear that one song (which to this day I've not heard again) and it kinda grew on me.
I love country music now because I can just relate to so much of it! Some of the best love songs ever! heart

First of all, I was raised listenin to it. It grew on me, and now it's about the only music I accept other than rock. It's part of me, and I can't help it. Plus, I like being different from everyone. Country music's sound attracts me for some reason.
same for me... i especially like the country songs that have a rock twist in them ( like some brooks and dunn songs) . it somehow gives the best of both genres.

Well, for one thing, I've been listening to it for a long time. For another; I work in technical theatre with a bunch of cowboys and rednecks and all of them are constantly playing country over the sound system. If I didn't like it, then I'd probably explode.

Demon-Pawn
P.S. does my freakish obsession with Cross Canadian Ragweed scare you??????

It doesn't frighten me. I see nothing wrong with feeling passionately towards a particular artist or group... Then again, maybe my love for Aaron Lines scares others.

I just kinda grew up on it. The only way that my mom could get house work done with me when I was like a year or two old was to sit me on this little wooden bench they bought for me and turn it on CMT. Mama said that I would sit there and watch it for hours!

I don't really know, but I think it's because I can relate to all the songs and understand them, plus, most of the songs tell stories and I like stories

I like country music because I, too, was raised listening to it. It's the only music besides bluegrass my whole family listens to, except my cousins. My dad also listens to rock, so I like rock too. Country's different from what everyone (yes, everyone) at my school besides me and my best friend listen to. One day at school the really annoying boy who sat next to me made me listen to rap, and I didn't really like it. It's fine, but I'm a country girl.
