I just finished the Forest of Hands and teeth and really enjoyed it. The Hunger Games and it's sequel are good too. I personally love Phillip Pullman so I suggest His Dark Materiels trilogy.
Also if you're into the classics, there are some really good ones. Dr. Faustus by Marlowe (although he wrote in the time of Shakespeare, his writing was significantly easier to read than Shakespeare), The Divine Comedy (AKA Dant'es Inferno), The Picture of Dorian Gray by Oscar Wilde, Beowulf, Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte (significantly better than anything that Jane Austen has ever written), and anything by Edgar Allan Poe.
I know that classics are hard to get into, but trust me, these ones are classics for a reason.
