Elina shielded her eyes from the light with her hand, once he put it out, she let her hand drop back to her side. "I'm here because I'm a failure." she coughed again, but this time a smile touched her lips. "though I guess here is better than there. when you really think hard about it."

The man quickly turns his head towards the voice, then clutches his fists and gets into a fighting stance "Who the bloody hell?! I see you there!" He narrows his eyes and moves his head towards the human like silhouette "Who are you then.. A failure from what?" Quickly, the mans face turned white, and the man stepped back and grabbed another pill "I'm so sorry.. This whole fragging situation is really frustrating.." He swallows the pill and turns away from the girl. I gotta stay cool.. There's no bloody way I'm going to survive if I go on talking like that.. He looks back at the girl and nervously smiles ".. but that's no excuse.." [He always gets the job done]

Elina had flinched away from the man when he started yelling. But when he calmed down, she forced herself into smile. "that's alright." With a sigh she leant heavily on the dirt wall of the hole. "I was one of their test subjects... but I failed them." she coughed and looked up at him.

[Kill them with Kindness] The man looked up at the wall and raises an eye "A test subject? So you're here cause they didn't accept your outcome?" He looks towards her and forces a smile back at her "Why would they let you live if you failed.. Don't get me wrong, its good that your alive.. Its just irresponsible on their part.." He reaches into his pockets and feels around for his cigarettes "My name is Jimmy by the way.." [He always gets the job done]

Elina shrugged, though the guesture was lost in the darkness of the hole. "I'm..." she paused as though she had forgotten her name, it had been a while since she had actually said it. "I'm Elina." she rubbed her hand over her face and looked up at the sky again. "I don't know why I'm alive... some times I wish I wasn't..."

[Kill them with Kindness] Jimmy nods and puts a cigarette in his mouth, then lights it and takes a drag "I will too in about an hour.." He pulls the cigarette box out of his pocket and hands it to Elina "Want a cigarette?"

Elina looks at it slightly confused. "what does it... what does it do Jimmy?" she looked back up at him and examined the one he had in his mouth. The slight glow from the burning end, was hardly enough to light up the shape of the cigarette. so she couldn't see the mans facial features.

[Kill them with Kindness] Jimmy raises an eye at Elina and pulls the box back, regretting even telling her he had them "Its nothing.. Just a combination of chemicals that you inhale to take the edge off stress.." He takes another drag and blows the smokes away from Elina ".. Though I have something else for that.. I just smoke for the sake of smoking.." He looks up at the sky and shakes his head, trying to figure out a way to get out and get more drugs "Pardon me for asking; but what did they do to you.. Did they test drugs on you or some cosmetic bullshit?" He plays with the cigarette box from in his pocket and looks towards her "Or perhaps some bio sci-fy stuff.. Like gene splicing and what not.." [He always gets the job done]

Elina was silent for a long time. The memory of syringes being inserted into her with no care of how much they hurt, of her being constantly connected to machines which gave her headaches, came rushing back to her. Finally she said, "They were always taking things from me, then trying to substitue it with weird things. She coughed again.

[Kill them with Kindness] Jimmy's eye's widened from Elina's answer, dropping his cigarette on a body from under him "I.. I think I know why too.. That's just sick.." He takes a few steps towards her and attempts to get a good look at her face "How terrible they've done that to you.." He takes a step back and shakes his head again "Its times like this you'd want them to use animals.. Their lives aren't as important.."

Elina turned her head slightly when Jimmy stepped closer to her. She had lost a lot of trust in humans because of what they had done to her. But surely this man wouldn't want to hurt her? He seemed rather sympathetic towards her. "I... I suppose they had to use something... but you're right... animals would have been better..."

Jimmy looks at Elina and reaches for a pill "I doubt the bastards who did this to you would be normal kidnappers.." He pulls the pill out of his pocket and swallows it, then looks towards Elina ".. and you don't have to be afraid.. Who ever did those things to you isn't here.." He smiles big and clutches his fists "and I'll beat the bloody bastards if they show up"

Elina nodded. Jimmy was right. The kidnappers couldn't be there on the island. Elina had been in the hole for at least two months and she'd only ever seen here when they came to dump some more people into the hole. Though Elina doubted that Jimmy wanted to beat them because of her. He had been captured there at some point. Though she doubted they had done the things they did to her, to him.
(shouldn't you go to bed then?)

Elina shrugged. "There are only a few hours of sunlight. The walls are high and hard to grip. Also, no one knows what is outside this hole. We only know it is an island. But most of us were asleep when brought here." after another coughing fit, she added, "But feel free to try it."
