"Anyone can be a threat..." He said as he lowered his hand. "For all shinobi hide their true strength until the time for it is met." He then gazed over at Midori. "It is my mission to protect her and the child within her until I am given further orders on what to do."

Midori simply gaped long and hard as Chaos turned and left too stunned by his unexpected reaction to say anything. Instead of having anything to say for himself like she had been expecting he had simply posted a body guard and left for something he had deemed more important...as if figuring out what to do about this mess was beneath him.

And to make matters worse he had actually had to gull to leave a body guard. Knowing him it wasn't because he gave a lick about her but rather the safety of the child which he would view as an experiment. But the sheer insuation that she even needed such protection was insulting

Her forehead twitched slightly at the indignity of it all. "Who does that b*****d think I am?" She growled her voice low and dangerous, her sheer anger manifesting itself in the form of a dense black aura around her body.

Given her sheer reputation only a handful of people would be stupid enough, or powerful enough (or both) to try messing with her. The former she could simply kill dead as a matter of course and the later she could avoid by being her usual clever self.

But even then it was simple enough to see why he might be concerned. Based on genetics alone the child if born had the potential to become an extremely powerful ninja. A weapon of mass destruction many sick individuals would love to get their hands on and indoctrinate to their wills.

And what did Chaos want out of this? A replacement body to replenish and renew his slowly faltering strength? A heir to his throne? A tool to use against his enemies or simply just an experiment to amuse himself with?

In any case if he thought she was going to passively go through labor for him and then just hand the child over afterward then he had another thing coming to him she vowed silently.

"Cross me and I'll make you BEG to die" She warned Issho. Sometimes Death was just too simple...too final to be much of a treat to some people.

((Is this really all we have left? I thought there would be a few more guild members still active, we only have five!

Yuki looked up at Falta. "I'm fine," he said. It was certain now. His voice had actually gotten deeper and grittier. It sounded older. "Thanks anyway." He stood up slowly and walked toward Issho. "Hey, blindfold." Yuki's eye seemed dark and focused. "Where's Chaos? He just left, and I need to ask him a little question." Yuki glanced at Issho, sizing him up. He seems strong... Certainly worthy of being Chaos' follower. "Well?" he asked again. "Is he gonna be coming back?"

"Who said anything about killing you?" Midori giggled, her laugh sounding slightly demented.

Their was almost nothing on earth that could retain her but seeing the bloodpack she frowned. That could do the trick but then it was only good for one favor so if Chaos chose to waste it on something so frivolous then so be it.

"In case you haven't noticed yet their isn't any village left for me to leave." She stated mildly as she gazed over the ruins. "Still if you're worried about my safety wouldn't it be best to stick with my people? Even if our home is gone our loyalty to each other still binds us and makes us strong. Many eyes is better then fewer." She argued hoping he wouldn't press the issue.

fatlta just chukled. " sure your fine yuki" she walked over to her brother and just stood by, petting puff on her shouder.

Midori growled lowly annoyed by yet another new and strange arrival. What did this black hooded hair mean with his offhanded comment about an heir/body. She could understand the heir part, but body? Why would someone like Chaos even need to bother switching bodies?

"To make a long story short the village was hit by a super weapon while we were out fighting a war. As you can see the results speak for themselves." She said as she cantankeriously paced around in a circle fuming at Chaos for having the nerve to think she was so weak as to need this much protection.

What enemies did she have anyhow? As far she knew none of her assassination targets had survived to seek revenge upon her, and with the old rift between steel and towns healed their shouldn't be anyone who held a grudge against her specifically.

More likely it was Chaos the targets where looking to twart. But who even knew she was pregnant other then the ninja here and Chaos himself?

That thought caused her to shudder. But then why would Chaos jeopardize the child he also sought to protect?
