"Oh..." Sahra muttered under her breath, staring at the pieces before her. She had listened, giving her fullest attention to every single word and syllable that escaped from Olly's mouth. I think I get it... But she still just couldn't be sure, it seemed simple enough, but she was terribly afraid of doing something wrong. But that wouldn't stop her! She had never given up before, and she most definitely wouldn't start now! "Okee." Sah nodded, readying herself for this odd new game.
Small laughs turned into a long, nearly silent sigh. Eyes filled from rim to rim with a tired daze, Mew stared at the table, glass clasped tightly in both hands. The moment made her feel a bit on the awkward side.

"Okay, I'll go first, so watch close!" he said. He knew it was more polite to let ladies go first(as Kami had once told him), but since she was new he felt he should go first, to better show how it was done. He moved one of his small circles one space forward. "See? Now it's your turn." he said, nodding.
"Goodness, you look exhausted...would you like to lay down or something?" Kami looked with concern at the look in Mew's eyes. The drive must have been long, and that made her feel a bit guilty.

Staring down the board, Sahra listened to Olly, watching as close as she could manage. Almost to close, if she had moved anymore, she probably would have fallen face first into the board. "Hm..." She backed off a bit, looking from piece to piece, formulating a move. Sah nodded to herself, reaching out to move one piece forward.
Mew shook her head, "Nah, I'm fine, but thanks!" She replied with a slight smile. "I'm just not used to being out at this time of day." Nodding, eyes opened half way, she did feel a tad on the drowsy side, but wasn't really that tired.

Olly chuckled, and nodded. "That's good...another rule to remember is, you can't move backwards." he said, and moved another one of his pieces, moving ever closer to another one of Sahra's, aiming to make at least a single jump.
Kami nodded. "Alright then. The offer's on the table if you change your mind." she said, leaning back in her chair. "So...where do you live? I take it you don't live in the compound. I wanted to be here to be closer to the school, really." Kami said with a chuckle.

Giggling, Sahra simply nodded, changing her gaze quickly from Olly to the board, from the board to Olly, and back again. I won't, I know I won't! She squinted her eyes, her face scrunching up, she tapped her nails against the floor. Sahra was sure he was going to try something, but she wasn't quite sure...what? With no idea, Sah wrapped two slinky fingers around a piece, and moved it forward.
"Okay..." Mew replied lazily, slumping back in her chair. She leaned her head against a tight fist, looking towards Kami, but set her sights beyond. "We live a ways away from here." She spoke quietly, but for no particular reason. "Our location is near the mountains, off the coast, and to the west of Isle de Gambino. Along with many others, we live on a Vineyard. Exciting, huh?" She cackled slightly, directing the sound at herself.

Oliver smiled happily. "That's good." he said, and moved again, another single move. He couldn't see any examples to show how you could hop over your opponent's pieces and take them off the board. He was sure he'd find a good move in a moment or so, and studied the board quietly.
Kami smiled a bit, leaning back and relaxing. "That sounds rather nice, actually. Sounds...green." she chuckled a bit, and raked a hand through her brown hair. "Apart from the nursery and school here, there isn't much to do outside that I've noticed." she said with a weak smile. it was true...the area around D-Corp was desertish-looking, and there was a big canyon on one side as well. "But...I think I'd die if I had to drive here every day. It would take at least an hour either way." she shrugged, and smirked.

Sahra was now more or so having a hard time deciding what piece that she wanted to move. She wasn't sure, and being the indecisive child she was, she wasn't to sure. But nothing stopped her, the stubborn little thing, poking at the pieces, she imagined a battlefield and that she was the general of a great war. If she didn't make some decisions quick, they would loose the battle! And that wouldn't be good. So, she finally grabbed a piece, and shoved it forward, seeing no places she could "jump over" any of Olly's current pieces.
Mew nodded, "It is nice, especially when you have a large family." She snickered slightly, a grin finally planting itself across her face, lazy gaze brightening, up, but to an extent. "I think that is good in a small way. Because of all the open space Sahra is slowly becoming a wild child." She couldn't help but laugh, not meaning it entirely, the young girl did seem to be wandering off more now than she used to, but she had to expect that more as she was growing up. "She's always out getting herself dirty. I'm having a hard time keeping up with her. But I guess that's all that can be expected."
It was true, since Sahra was always out during the daytime, which was when Mew did most of her sleeping; she was starting to have a very hard time keeping the girl around the house. But she knew all the others around kept their eyes on her, so in the end it all turned out alright. "Getting here isn't so bad. A bit tiring, but I can't exactly say that we drive."

Oliver smirked rather craftily, and made a double jump over two of her red pieces, picking each up afterwards. "See, if you can find spots to jump over the ther player's pieces, you get to move them off the board." he said, setting the two pieces aside. He was sure she would be well off enough, she done everything correct so far. It was nice to have an opponent who might not beat him every time, too.
Kami smiled. "Mmm, sorta reminds me of my Gaian home. I might move back there when Oliver gets a bit older." she mused. She too had lived in a large house with an equally large family of all sorts of odd creatures, but had decided to live in the apartments for Oliver, for the moment. She had gotten several of the more humanoid creatures that she had befriended to house sit and keep order. She found the drive awfully dreary, and the same could probably be said for the young camel.
She blinked a bit at the last comment. "Oh...how did you get here, then?" she asked curiosuly, leaning in a bit.

Oliver smirked lightly as he jumped another one of her pieces. It would be fairly smooth now that they had more room to move over the board. He perked a little ashe remembered something, and decided that it was a good time to tell her. "You win by getting all the other player's pieces off the board." he said with a nod, and waited for her to move, smiling pleasantly.
Kami's eyebrows raised, and she smirked. "Ah, so you flew." she chuckled lightly, wondering what means of transport they could have used. "What did you fly in?" she asked, finally unable to keep in her curiousity.

"Ohh.." Pulling herself to sit up upon her knees, Sah leaned over the board, eyes studying every piece and square. She was a bit hesitant, not wanting to make a wrong move. She reached downward and moved a lone piece forward, even after staring at the board for so long; she had not really been paying attention to whether or not she could jump another of his pieces.
"Well..." Mew started, "It's more of a on than a in. We rode here on something..." She herself has rather hesitant on her actions and ramblings, much like Sah.

((Heya Mew, I'm real sorry for my slowness >_< I've been having finals for the past week and it's hard to keep up with everything.))
Olly nodded, and moved another single space, seeming to be enjoying himself. He liked how nice Sahra was, nice and quiet like himself, he thought to himself. Sometimes in class other children were noisy often, which made him a little nervous. "Your move." he said cheerfully, and sat back with a content sigh.
Kami blinked, a bit perplex. "Ooooh. What, out of curiosity?" her eyebrows had raised, it had definitely caught her attention.

((Nah, you have no reason to be sorry. Life will be life! I've had a little too much going on lately as well. It's all been plaguing my brain, I can't think anymore. x_x ))
A battlefield, that's what it was! So wretched and fierce this game was, and she loved it. Sahra couldn't help but imagine a whole little story playing itself out on the board; the knights and the horses, the front line men that always got killed first! It was just like a fairytale, except more harsh. "Mewh." She mewed contently, enjoying the peace and quiet around her, she jumped a piece of Olly's and shoved it off to the side. It made her feel a bit accomplished, that was that she could even learn how to play such a game as this.
"Ah, well, a sort of winged horse, I guess you might call him. But I am not entirely sure what he is exactly..." She mumbled in a soft tone, breath seeming to steadily become harder, she pulled her legs up against her in the chair, and buried her face into her knees. Clasping her hands together, Mew allowed her eyes to shut, she felt a tiresome aura creeping around her that made her wish she was at home in bed.

((*hughug* Thanks ><; Same here, for the most part! *pat* Congrats on Sahra's growing btw, she's a real cutie!))
Olly smiled happily. He saw it in almost the same way...Kami had said the game was a very strategic game, and that it took a bit of planning to be good at it. Practice too, which was what he did a lot, whenever Kami would play with him. Of course, it wasn't his only focus. Sometimes other games were easier and more fun, like connect four, or Candy Land. He moved another piece to jump one of hers yet again, steadily advancing his pieces towards her side.
Kami blinked, and became quite alarmed. "Hey, are you alright??" the panicked girl was at Mew's side in a moment, a gentle, steadying hand on her shoulder. "Perhaps you should lie down, the couch is big enough for that. You can take a nap while I check up on the kids?" she suggested, worried. She was starting to feel guilty...if she'd known daytime hours were bad for the other caretaker she'd never have asked this of her, not one to enjoy bothering others.

((Yer. And thanks~ I was rather intrigued by it, especially the coloring of her eggu. xd ))
Sahra watched Olly's movements carefully, studying his actions she tried her best to remember everything he had done. But plagued with a bad memory, even at as young of an age as she was, she could only take in so much of it. She hadn't ever really liked playing board games, or any other type of game that wasn't outside in the woods for that matter. Sah had enjoyed a few other things, such as the game she had played with Mabyn and Ri, a game they called "Twister." She blinked, finally noticing all of her pieces that had been swept aside; she stopped a quick moment to think a loud and out of place giggle escaping from her lips. She reached forward and moved a random piece, not being exactly sure how things might turn out, she leaned back, and folded her arms neatly behind.
"Oh, nah, really, don't worry about me, I'll be fine." Well, Mew knew it wasn't true; it would certainly hurt when she returned home. She was hurting now, and growing worse, slowly, but wasn't about to let Kami know that. Mew had always had a bad habit of keeping such thing to herself. She never really cared about herself, and hated it when others worried even a smudge about her, or fussed over something concerning her.
