"Crester isn't as fun as I thought it'd be," Araku sighed once more, having finished polishing his deadly sword. The demon was in his human guise, but so far he hadn't needed it. If nobody came near or drew his attention, then he'd go and play with a human that was alone.
Adrina stroked her bow, its smooth wood glistening in the growing light. She'd yet to encounter her prey, but she could sense him up ahead. Seems like he's near a new village, she thought grimly. Standing up, she debated on whether or not to risk getting closer. There were only a few outcomes, with different variations, and they all led to trouble.

Buttercup yawned. She looked around at her camp as the sun rose. It wasn't much, but she could handle it. Buttercup reached down and touched her necklace. The charm tied on was of a running horse, wild and free, much like Buttercup had always dreamed of being. Sighing, Buttercup packed up the small sack of hay she used as a bed and her few handmade cooking supplies.
Whistling a tune, Buttercup headed towards her old village. She planned to reek(sp?) some havock on the community that had shunned her away. Buttercup smiled devilishly as she neared the first house.

Sayuri made her way outside the door with a small pack shouldered by two thin ropes. Theres no way Im going to school, not after today's wake up call... She stared at the street that had many kids running toward the crowded building, turning the opposite direction Sayuri walked. She sighed deeply and looked back only once scowling at all the people who made their way, Like worms scurrying to their holes. Sayuri began to run to the outskirts of the town, where the river resided as a tear left her cheek.

Araku's eyes glinted when he noticed a young girl, probably in her teens, enter the village with a purpose in her stride. A cruel smile danced on his lips when he spotted another girl, also in her teens, leave Crester all on her own. "Playtime," he chuckled darkly. Jumping from the tree where he had taken up a spot to watch, Araku landed on his feet with grace. With a long stride, he was soon following the girl who'd left. She would be easier prey than the other one. He kept behind her, but his gait and attention made it obvious that he was following the girl.

Sayuri dashed across the grassy landscape and came closer to the river with every stride. Almost there... Her mind was troubled when she remembered her brother chasing her across the fields in her youth. He would pick her up and she would spread her arms and he would always spin and throw her into the river. Sayuri almost smiled at the fond memory that had long since been forgotten. She arrived at the river's edge only to sit upon a rock and stare into the clear blue water.

((It's alright ^^)) Araku lounged against a tree just behind the girl. He could tell that her attention was focused on the past, her mind drifting. Clearing his face of any malice, the man cleared his throat and walked forward. "Hello ma'am." He bowed politely.

Sayuri heard a voice from behind and slowly turned her head, only slightly so she could see. "Who are you? What do you want with me, I'm busy." She was slightly annoyed to have been disturbed for her train of thought, Sayuri just want to hear the wind and the water. But in order not to seem rude she bowed her head to him and faced the river again.

Araku chuckled at her quick reply. "I'm a simple traveler who wanted to make sure that you were alright," he lied through his teeth. Although his sword glittered menacingly, his casual tone and stance showed that he meant no harm.

Sayuri shook her head and sighed. "You dont find people like that around here very often. I can guess you are new in these parts, correct?" She stood up on the rock and turned around to look over the person, Something seems wrong but I cant put my finger on it.

Araku smiled, his single eye crinkling some. Almost there little duckling, he thought with a silent chuckle. "I haven't been near Crester - if I'm correct - before. I have traveled to many other places though."

Sayuri sighed. "Well if your looking for someone to show you around, I could but I'd rather not stay long." She picked up her pack and stretched her shoulder.

"Oh no dear. I couldn't ask you to do that. You don't know me," Araku put up a hand. Looking over his shoulder he looked at the small town. "I don't want to bother you any more than I have."
Adrina watched the demon talk to the girl below. She seemed to be trusting him, while he was playing a good guy. Poor, innocent child, she thought grimly. Notching an arrow, the elf sighted her target. If she could make him fall, there would be one less demon to try and harm the Duals.

Sayuri shrugged and set her pack back down and faced the water again. "Alright then, see ya around." She waved her hand in a dismissive fashion and sighed again. "One more thing, you may want to move out of the line of fire of that arrow. The reflection appears in the water, not the best hiding spot really." She smirked to herself.

Araku glanced over his shoulder and smiled darkly. "She's not worried about being stealthy." Turning back to the girl, his lips curled at the thought of her death. His body blurred, his step was so quick, and next he had her pinned to him between the elf and the water. "Now be a good little girl and don't struggle. We don't want any accidents to happen."
Adrina spat curses, their words and meanings indisdiguishable. She lowered her bow, but kept the arrow notched. With quick, graceful bounds the elf was right in front of the demon and his captive. "Put her down, Araku." She snarled. Her musical voice was dripping with venom, unusual for her unless around the demon.
