I think I'd agree that you are drawn to others similar to you. Having been through homosexual experiences, you kinda know what to look for.
I wouldn't say that my sexuality was related to wicca, but now that I think of it, I was discovering both around the same time.

I am bisexual and I am studying Paganism. (Studying, not practicing. I don't feel ready to practice it just yet.) The only other witch that I have encountered is actually a friend from high school and to my knowledge, he is heterosexual.
You are more than likely encountering more homosexuals in Paganism because it's more accepted in this sect of religion. As far as I know, there isn't anything that says a witch can't be homosexual. There is, however, many other religions that condemn homosexuality, making their followers refuse to admit that they're homosexual or make their followers unwilling to come out to the public with their homosexuality.
This is just what I believe, anyway. -shrugs-
