1. I'm thankful that it's starting to feel like spring here. (Weather in the 50s! I've been so happy this week! Good weather is really conducive to a good mood biggrin )

Haha! Amen sister!

1. Greetings from Oregon! I ended up taking a nap when I got here and woke up at my normal waking time for GMT...but it's like almost 2 am here. Stupid time zones. Oh well. It's really beautiful here and I'm really thankful for this holiday.

2. While I was napping, I had this dream that I had a ball of black tar heroin the size of my head that I paid 70 USD for. I didn't actually use any of it in the dream. I just sort of carried it around and petted it and showed it off to people. It was my pet heroin ball. It had its own little blanket that I wrapped it in. I dunno. I thought it was funny. I guess I still dream like a drug addict, but in a bizarre sort of way. xd

3. My friend that I'm staying with has one of the Honda Element cars. You know, the one that looks like a toaster on wheels. I think it's awesome and silly.

1. I'm thankful I woke up today and heard the birds chirping outside. (On a sad note; it's been in the 60s the past 3 days, and tomorrow or the day after it's supposed to snow! >:/)

2. That I have a job, and a pretty good one at that (for my age).

3. That when I start college I won't be far from home smile

1. Life. I'm thankful that I'm still able to be here in this world today. No matter how much I sin or how far I stray away from the path set before me, God still gives me a second chance.

2. My family and my friends. I don't know where I'd be without them.

3. Being a born Catholic. biggrin biggrin

1. I am thankful that I have a wonderful house that I live in and family that supports me, and that I can stay up until after midnight and have a house full of delicious food, because I know there are so many places in the world where people don't get to eat.

2. My mother. She is a lot like me, and she's taught me how to eat healthy and live properly. She's impacted my life more than anyone else I've ever met.

3. My friends, but especially one in particular. I'm not your average teenage girl who spends hours talking on the phone all week. I rarely make phone calls (or answer when other people call, sweatdrop ) but I talked to my friend the other day for an hour on the phone (I haven't spent that much time on the phone in years) and we can talk about anything - and I love having someone to talk about God with. I trust her, and I love her uber lots mrgreen

1) My family is whole, no divorces or anything which makes me happy quite a bit.
2) The ability to hear and see
3) Being able to have an education and a home.

i am thankful for all the great things God has called me to do for the past couple of weeks!
i've just been going by impulse and it's led me to do great things for myself and for other people, and it's just led me to glorify God in my heart more than ever before.
it's everything from baking fresh homemade bread, to giving this woman with fair skin walking along the road my sunscreen.
going to a lake just to eat breakfast, painting, volunteering,
i've just been doing great things and God has been taking me great places and it's filled my heart with love and joy.
i may not have a real job this summer, but i'm having an amazing time.

2.) the opportunity to recieve a magnificent education
3.) knowing that God loves me even though I stuggle to reclaim control over self, and I always mess everything up

Alright, I'll give this a try biggrin

1. My manager DIDN'T fire me for getting to work 5 hours late today - in fact, he was very understanding and even joked and laughed about it with me, really cool, since I absolutely love my job. Which is almost a point on it's own...

1.5. I absolutely love my job. I've never had a job I've absolutely loved. Now I do.

2. My epileptic dog's medication, after upping the dose a FOURTH time, is finally seemingly effective! biggrin No more trips to the vet!~

3. I had a two-hour sword fight with my dad in the yard, because he WASN'T mad I wasted money on a bunch of nerf swords today. It was the most fun I've had with him in yeaars. Especially since he started in churchie-school for becoming a Deacon - he hasn't had a lot of family time. So it felt awesome for both of us, I think. ^___^ (especially cause it's not something he'd normally do, but he really had fun). I love my dad <3

2.When I got home from work I saw that my parents had gotten me new sheets and a new pillow. My old sheets were too big and slipped off every night and I havne't had a pillow pillow for a while. It's so comfortble. I feel like a princess =)

3. My pink pajamas match my new sheets XD

2.) some girls can actually find me attractive
3.)I'm getting much better at drawing
3.5.) I have a new "how to draw" book and the artist is AMZING with hair/clothes

Reviving this thread!

Someone left a box containing what appears to be the complete works of William S. Burroughs on my doorstep. I'm pretty sure it was intended as a practical joke, since I'm trying to get clean and all Burroughs really writes about is being a crazy junkie, but I love free books. I read Naked Lunch years and years and years ago and was convinced at the time that it totally changed my life. Now I'm re-reading it, and it's maybe not completely life-changing, but it's still such an awesome book. It has me laughing out loud on one page, and then nearly wretching in disgust on the next. I love books that evoke a wide range of emotions in the reader, and Burroughs' style is just...so cool and bizarre and fun to read. So, thank you anonymous gift-giver. I am indeed happily occupied during my long sleepless nights, thank you very much.

I've just had a really good day today. No particular reason. Everything's just gone really well for me. I've done enough work to feel like I've been properly productive, and had enough play to feel like I've had plenty of fun.

I love the people I've surrounded myself with this past year or so. I finally realised that life is too short for crap friends and lovers and made it a point to only spend copious amounts of time with people whose company I actually genuinely like. And I just feel like I can totally be myself, I'm loved for exactly who I am, vices and all, and we all have so much fun together, just doing dumb things like dancing to silly music and having stupid jokes and the like. It's just good to love and feel loved and be surrounded with people who love you and accept you exactly as you are. It's really done wonders for my self-esteem. I feel like these past few months have been some of the most emotionally healthy and stable times of my life, which is really such an improvement over the sometimes very sad state of my emotional existence of the past.
