Teh_plague Fresnel Wars. Now THERE'S something the Mayans knew about. Technology's come a long way since the obsidian club, though. Btw obsidian club...i think not more like Macuahuitl...a wooden sword with shards of obsidian and flint embedded in it...NOT A CLUB but a SWORD . It was also Aztec, but I knew that and they both lived in the same area at the same time.

nightcrower Richard Gross, a geophysicist at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory, says he has done the calculations. Gross says the earthquake, which measured 8.8 on the Richter scale, moved large amounts of rock, altered the distribution of mass on the planet, and moved the Earth’s axis by about 2.7 milliarcseconds (about 8 centimeters or 3 inches). The change in axis directly impacts Earth’s rotation, and the rate of the planet’s rotation determines the length of a day. ha! ok not the climate changing but still. this is from discovermagazine.com if you wanna read the whole thing. some scientists THEORIZE (notive the caps) that the axis will also move more dramatically, making some places warmer and others colder. science has just made you its b***h. Less than the earth does on its own. You know how Polaris is the north star? Every ten thousand years or so, that changes. The earth has always and will always wobble slightly. The kind of quake it would take to make any significant change in the climate would split the planet in half. An 8.8 quake changed the Earth's day less then two microseconds. ********. You want one second's change, you're going to have to BREAK the Richter scale.

Calling a cutting tool a club which by definition is a weapon that causes blunt force trauma is not semantics...a cutting tool does not cause blunt trauma.

Nah...not really
a baseball bat with nails causes puncture wounds. a piece of wood with shards of obsidian would cause extremely deep slash's not punctures.

Fresnel Teh_plague @ Fresnel As far as the greece thing he's not talking about it literally falling apart. he's referring to the rioting and general upset with the government that's causing a few big stir's on the news. He is not referring to the whole Venice flooding and sinking because it was built over ******** water. That's not hardly apocalyptic. When he said "falling apart" I assumed he was talking about the more dramatic FALLING APART like California slowly melting into the sea. yes it is apocalyptic, it will start a domino affect causing the worlds economy to crumble

There's an old quote out there, something along the lines of "If you say Ben Franklin said it, people will believe you." In other words, people SAY economists or scientists said it, but it doesn't make it true. I watched a video earlier where a firearms "expert" was talking about a rifle, and he got EVERYTHING wrong, including the SPEED OF SOUND. Just because you SAY he's an expert doesn't MAKE him an expert. I'm working on the premise that you gave a date for the entire world to come to a screeching flaming halt and several reasons it could happen, and I'm telling you it's ludicrous to believe that because there's no evidence whatsoever that it will happen, or WHEN it will happen.

Scientific theories are as good as FACT. They have not been disproven, and have been tested many times. The theory of Gravity, for one. That's "I think this is what is true, nobody can disprove me, and it explains how these other things work, so it must be true." I said the planet isn't going to FLIP OVER. I know it moves tiny fractions of an arc-second, but they don't actually CHANGE anything. You would have to move the axis of the earth full DEGREES to see any change in the weather, and that's just not going to happen without an event that would extinguish life anyway, like the planet cracking in half from an earthquake or getting hit by a small moon.
