Ok then... I didn't think you were that rude anyway, Katana. Oh well. I'll post a pronunciation guide today.
Ah, eh, ei, oh, ou (A, e, i, o, u). Tsu: the t and s are sort of teh same sound. If in the middle of a word, just add the t to the sylable before it. Fu is spoken as a mix between f and h. R is a mix of r and l. Any foreign word with a v is replaced with b.
I'll try to post how to pronounce everything in future lessons.

Waah, I can't take it in high school. >.< They only offer chinese, french, or spanish where I live. The only way to take it is Rosetta Stone or take classes outside of shool or self-learn books.

My school is getting rid of Chinese 1A-B next year. >.< Then the little 6th graders only have French and Spanish, both of which are boring. @ Katana: Sorry, I don't understand it. Maybe a website on the internet will help, but most likely you need the kanji for it to translate.

I suck at that. ^^" Lesson: Good morning: Ohayo gozaimasuGood evening: KonbanwaGood night: Oyasumi nasaiSee ya! : Ja mata ne! See you tomorrow: mata ashita (Pronounced Mata ashta) Excuse me/ sorry : sumimasen Yes: HaiNo: IieIs/am/are: Desu Sorry: Gomenasai/ GomenGomen, my lessons are very simple. Hopefully I'll get better at this. ごめんね!!!(gomen ne) I went on a trip so I was away from my computer. How would you like me to go along with hiragana/katakana? Should i just post it all here or post a link to a site/or image. There is always the stroke orders so I was thinking image. Also should I retype your lessons in kana too?

Ok so last lesson was: Good morning: Ohayo gozaimasu おはいよございます。 Good evening: Konbanwa こばんは。 Good night: Oyasumi nasai おやすみなさい。 See ya! : Ja mata ne! じゃまたね。 See you tomorrow: mata ashita (Pronounced Mata ashta) またあした。 Excuse me/ sorry : sumimasen すみません。 Yes: Hai はい。 No: Iie いいえ。 Is/am/are: Desu です。 Sorry: Gomenasai/ Gomen ごめなさい。
Also for hiragana practice I would say this: hiragana strokes Hiragana chart with ten ten Ten ten's are the little marks you see above the hiragana that make it sound more harsh.. In other words turning ka か into ga が see the difference.? Only slightly. But this little mark makes a big difference. hiragana and katakana with glides
OK so I am thinking for the next lesson to be about introducing our selves. What'cha say?

Ok so now that we have the writing down let's get learning! I will do it all in hiragana/Katakana so make sure you wrote down the charts. Best way to learn is break away from romanji asap. I only use it in some songs to learn then go back to kana. だいいっか(Lesson 1)
When learning Japanese there is way more than just vocabulary and fitting it in the right place. There sentence structure is completely different from ours. A basic sentence structure we will use a lot is: わたし は _____ です。 Usually in japanese it won't be spaced. They don't space their words like we do.
So to say your name you can say わたしはカレンです。 I am kallen.
Your name would be in Katakana and it is based of how it sounds not how it is spelled. But before when you have just met some one you use the "はじめまして~~~~~~~どぞよろしくおねがいします"。pattern. Between these two phrases you can pretty much be creative with what you want to say.
For my example: はじめまして。わたしはカレンです。わたしはにほんごのせんせいです。21さいです。どぞよろしくおねがいします。 Nice to meet you. I am Kallen. I am a Japanese teacher. I am 21 years old. Please treat me kindly. (take care of me/the pleasure is all mine)
This is a great way to introduce yourselves. And since my computer totally white screened me I will make this a part 2 lesson with vocabulary next. Just need to wait till I can use the desktop. I am hope I am doing ok at this. I am open to advice.

Ohayo Sensei. I hope to learn very much from you. I'm currently using Rosstta Stone for japanese. But, I don't have that much of an attention span. ^^" So, maybe having a Sensei could help. c: Arrigato Sensei~!
