Kar'mesi wasn't really used to talking with the elf women, so he blushed a little.
As Kar'mesi pulled Keltara out of the pond he spoke soflty to her, "Don't thank me, thank the 'Realm' for setting my mind to save you."
Kar raised his hand before all the elves and spoke in a booming voice, "Please, clear out! Let us pass!" The elves moved out of the way respectfully, but he heard a few sneers and laughs, 'nothing to worry about', he thought.
As they walked on, Kar saw a vision. He saw Keltara, himself and a few others blurred in the vison. He then knew that Kel was a chosen one. Chose by the 'Realm', but who were the others? Kar didn't worry too much about it as they made it back to the house she came from.
Kar'mesi decided to do something smart, so he spoke. "Kel, please, from now on, I wish for you to call me Kar..." He then smiled before he continued, "and I would be glad to help you with your magic, that is, if you want me too. Well, uhhh, I guess I'll be seeing you around somtime. If you need me, I'll be back on the hill."
Kar then walked away silently. Many of the elves, seeing him, eyed him and some even snickered, but Kar didn't notice. His mind was on the journey ahead...

Keltara attempted a faint smile to show her thanks. Because of the nature of her arrival and her power some of the others a little hesitant to approach her.
Turning to go back to her room she tried to ignore the faces of those around her. Her cheeks burned with embarrassment at the looks of pity and guilt at those who looked at her with a mix of mild annoyance and fear. She hadn't wanted to cause any trouble and it was embarrassing for her powers to be as out of control as a young child's and frightening too.
"It's ridiculous that she has less control than a 10 year old." a young mage muttered under their breath as she passed.
Kel froze clenching her jaw and fists in frustration till her hands and head hurt, green eyes stinging with tears. Just because it was true didn't make the remark sting any less. There was a strong gust of wind followed by a yelp as the boy who'd commented was lifted up and thrown a few feet short of landing in a thorny rose bush. Sending him an icy glare she turned to leave again.

Kar walked on slowly as if Kel wanted to come with him. He hoped she did, he needed to teach her mind over magic. She needed it if she was going to be a chosen one...
Kar made it to the top of the hill and sat down and meditated for a while, then decided to try and get Kel to train with him. If she was a chosen one, she was going to need it...
So he stood up, preformed a mind stance and began speaking to Kel's mind. "Keltara, listen to me, you are chosen by the 'Devine Realm'. Train with the War Mage. He will teach you what you need to know." Gage only got that much through before he was interputed by a howl of a wild animal.

Anwyn was among those elves in the garden. Although a little startled by the event she was annoyed by the reaction she saw in some of the others, especially in those who were guards or mages under her command. She'd heard parts of Keltara's story in conversation and thought it was unfair that they would treat her so. Her eyes narrowed at the boy's remark and smile tugged at the corners of her mouth when he was thrown. Seeing the look on the boy's face as he got back to his feet she stepped between him and the girl, a hard expression on her face and hand grimly resting on her sword hilt at her hip.
"That is enough out of you." She warned him.
"You should be ashamed of yourselves, treating one of our own so poorly when she needs our help." She scolded the others. " I'd like to see how well you would fair in her situation. If you won't help than just leave her be. Considering the reports that have been coming shouldn't some of you be doing something more useful? Now clear out, before I double your workloads!"
"Come on, we'd best do as she says." Someone murmured in the crowd. "Captain Windstar means it when she makes a threat."
As the crowd dissipated Anwyn cast a glance over her shoulder in the direction Keltara had disappeared. She decided she would give her some time to calm down before she went to talk to her. Once those she was concerned about head left for the woods to find a place to think.Something strange had happened in that short space of time and she needed somewhere quiet to think it over.

Keltara changed into a dry tunic and leggings and pinned her thick damp hair up to keep her back dry. She had just face planted into her bed with a groan of frustration when she heard a voice in her mind that made her get back up with a yelp.
"Keltara, listen to me, you are chosen by the 'Devine Realm'. Train with the War Mage. He will teach you what you need to know."
"Well that woke me up again." She muttered."Chosen? Me?"
" I hear you had another interesting start to your day" A voice remarked from the door, nearly making her jump.
One of the head healers was standing in the doorway.
"I heard you cry out and the door was unlocked so I thought I should check if you had another nightmare." He said sounding concerned. He taken an almost older brotherly interest in Kel's recovery and unlike some of the others she felt she could talk to him. Despite his young appearance his patience and wisdom spoke of ages of experience. He also had an uncanny ability to know what was on her mind.
" No, something else this time, I think.I lost my temper again and the wind nearly tossed a mage into a rose bush after my fire magic backfire earlier, as you've likely already heard. I guess it strained my nerves." She said shaking her head " Um, Tyair, do you think there's anything special about me?"
"I think the circumstances in which arrived here were exceptionally strange. I think it is remarkable that you've recovered so quickly physically when I hardly would have expected someone in your condition to survive long enough to be found and rescued. I think that there is some great importance in your nightmares and visions. I also think," The elf said gently as he crossed the room and handed Kelara her swords. " that you need to have more faith in your own power."
His only response to her questioning look was a small smile as he gestured to the window over looking the garden and surrounding area. Kel strapped her bow and quiver to her back and clipped her swords in place on her belt before heading for the hill.

Gage had looked down to see something that was quite comforting. He saw Anwyn, scolding the elfs who were snickering at the happenings earlier that day.
Gage smiled and walked down and whipsered into Anwyn's ear, "Thanks, I wasn't really happy with their behavior. I'm glad you could help." Gage then rushed off, smiling. Anwyn was also chosen, her face became clear in his mind as he ran to see Keltara.
He made it to the house and knocked, a young elf answered, "Hello. Can I help you?" Gage smiled and whispered sofly, "Yes, please, take me to Keltara's room." The young elf lead him quietly to the door.
He knocked softly and entered, "Keltara, are you awake?"

Anwyn jumped as she heard someone call out as she was startled out of her train of thought.
" So much for being the Fearless Anwyn Windstar." She muttered remembering what another guard had dubbed her as she tried to steady herself.
Once she saw the other elvish girl she calmed down again. She hadn't sensed anything out of place since it was to be expected that there would be other elves in the forest.
"Oh! Good morning!" She said remembering her manners once she had her wits about her again.

Keltara had reached the bottom of the steps when she thought to ask the healer if anyone had heard anything that might help her recover her memories. She ran back up the stairs and saw Kar'mesi at her door. She decided her question could wait, after all if something important was uncovered they would send someone to find her.
"Hello." She said as she reached her room. "I had just left to go looking for you."

Kar'mesi smiled inwardly. "You were looking for me? Why?" Kar asked questionly. 'I wonder if my message got through...' he thought.
"Well, Keltara, I came to repeat my question, Do you want me to train you in the art of Magic? I would teach you willingly."Gage said with a shy smile.

" I would greatly appreciate it given resent events. I don't want to be unable to trust my own magic when I need it." Kel said wearily.
Recalling the past few days since she woke in the healer's wing she decided that lately almost anything could be possible.
"And besides, that mage that got thrown was just a novice, but it could be one of his teachers another time, and the last thing I need is a scratched up mage or singed noble with a grudge against me." She said with a nervous laugh.

"Yah..." Kar smiled. "Let us be off then. We need to use the rest of the day to train you, 'Chosen One'." Gage winked at Kel and motioned her outside.
"Here is where we begin." Gage said, as the made it to the top of the hill. "We begin with 'Mind over Magic'. I know you've heard of it, so allow me to demintrate." Gage said as he walked off of the hill and levetated on thin air. "Simply take my hand and 'believe' that the powers you have are strong enough to hold you." Gage said while he reached out his hand.

Kel took his hand hesitantly. The few times she had tried levitate anything it had been shaky and eventually dropped to the ground. Yet knowing that there were some people who thought it was possible for learn was an encouraging thought and she didn't want to let them down. At first she wobbled but after a while she managed to stay steady.
"Well that's a first." She said.

"Your doing good..." Kar said smiling at Keltara. "All you need to do now is over come the fear inside of you." Kar said letting go of her hand and walking back to the hill. "Hold yourself strong, and walk to me." Kar said smiling. "Don't think about it, or be hesitant. Just do it. One baby step at a time..."
Kar then walked down the hill saying, "Next we will work on 'Mind over Body'. When you manage to make it to the hill, use your mind to find me, that is, if you wish to continue..." Kar smiled inwardly, he always liked leaving a striking stament on his students.
He then used teleportation, 'to where?' you ask, he didn't even know...

Kel shook her head and smiled as she wondered at love for the dramatic some of the mages she'd met had. The acting troupes had to be mourning the number of people with dramatic talents that were also magically gifted and chose magic as their calling.
She sat down on the hill and closed her eyes as she concentrated. After a while she had managed to block out the life forces and magics that were obviously not Kar to narrow her search beginning with the animals. She had begun to weed out the mages when she sensed a familiar magic among them.
'Ha! Found you!' She thought grinning.
Her smile waded suddenly as she sensed something strange. Elves generally had some sense that warned them when something wasn't right and that part of Keltara's mind found something that made her skin prickle.
'What...' It was distant and little more then a whisper but it chilled her to her marrow. It gave off a strange and unpleasant jangling and buzzing sound that made the elf's head ache. The sound rose a little but even that amount was enough to her instinctively cover her ears, not that it could help with a noise sensed by her mind. Kel had been trying to gather her wits to put in place a mental barrier to block it out when the noise rose again in volume and pitch and she shrieked as she collapsed.
