X ◐ C H A R L I E X M A Y S I O N Right then, at that very moment, there was nothing that could ruin Charlie Maysion's day. Her team had just been informed by the big head honcho-man of the PGRD (Pandora Geology Research Division, for those out of the know) that the green light had finally been given for them to head out on a field expedition. Sure, it would technically only involve going out to get a dozen or so soil samples and the like, but after three months of being stuck inside as the 'manly men' went out to do their things with the natives, she was so ready to get beyond those boundary fences.
Turning to her teammates as they stood together in the PGRD conference room, the petite blonde woman couldn't help the grin on her face. "C'mon, cheesecakes," she said, "Let's saddle up and show those gun-tooting ya-whoos that we can make it out there just as well as they can." Just as they were all about to leave, the head called them back.
"Not so fast, kiddies. You're going to be getting a security escort from the RDA just in case anything pops up out there. Remember what happened last time a research group went out alone, okay? They'll meet you out by the obstacle course."
Charlie mentally rolled her eyes. All that had been how long ago? And yet, they were still hearing about it. Pah, who's stupid idea had it been to give a Marine something as important as an Avatar anyway? She sure hoped the high-ups had learnt their lesson with that one. Still, what did it matter to her? Right now, she had her own Avatar waiting for her just moments away. With a cheeky salute to her boss, she turned and headed out the door.
A mere ten minutes later, a long and lanky body was twisting it's way easily around the obstacle course, the muscles stretching and flexing underneath the bright blue skin. Wearing hiking boots, simple black shorts, and a red singlet that left most of her elongated stomach bare, Charlie certainly cut a different figure as her Avatar than to the tiny, white-coated woman she usually was. Oh, how she loved being in her Avatar. It was just so much easier to move around! When she came to the end of the course, Charlie stopped her wild pace and looked over at the great boundary fence and into the jungle. It wasn't long now until she would be able to get in there, see what Pandora really had to offer.
She leaned back against a wooden balancing beam, waiting for the rest of her team and the RDA escort to show up. A small brown backpack with all of her sample gathering tools rested in the grass at her feet.

ღ R achel Price ღ A low buzz echoed into the ears of the sleeping young marine. Her lack of sleep didn’t change her natural reaction to automatically jumped to her feet at the alarm. She looked around the large sleeping quarters to see no one else was in it but her. “Where is everyone?” She thought with her body on high alert. The silence of the room bothered her more than it should have. There was a sudden loud crash in the next room and Rachel body automatically reacted. Her right hand flew to her RDA pistol in an instant. She crouched slightly as she walk towards the next room.
The uneasy silence only continued to worry the lieutenant colonel. She turned around the corner quickly, ready to fire. The hallway was empty. Rachel lowered her pistol slightly and continued down the hallway towards the source of the sound. She turned the corner quickly but once again saw no one. Only broke glass from the back window lied on the floor. “Crap.” She shouted and ran to get an oxygen mask. She took a deep breathe of oxygen, not knowing how long she had been breathing the toxic air from Pandora’s atmosphere.
Rachel walked over to the broken window with her pistol still drawn to examine the danger. A large knife shaped weapon caught her attention. “What the?” She whispered and crouched to pick up the hand crafted blade. Suddenly in the blink of an eye two large, slim, blue hand wrapped around her neck. There was a loud snarl from behind her from an unknown creature. She struggled to get free from it’s grip but it was too strong. It slammed her into the ground, then into the wall. Her body winced in pain from each bone shattering blow. She tried loss the grip of her pistol and watched it fly across the room. She tried to scream hoping for someone to hear her but she couldn’t speak. She was suddenly flung across the room and her body slammed into the wall and onto the hard tile. Rachel coughed up a small amount of blood inside her mask, obscuring more of her already blurred vision. The huge blue creature picked up it blade and slowly made it’s way to Rachel. The girl body refused to obey her. The pain was all she could feel, all she could focus on then she looked up a the snaring beast as it raised its blade….
“No!” Rachel’s body lurched up. Sweat dripped down her face as she looked around her private sleeping quarters. She breathed a huge sigh of a relief. "Just a dream…” She whispered and wiped the sweat off her forehead. “Jeez the Coronal’s briefing got to me.” She said surprised that the Coronal’s graphic speak about the nearly indestructible natives had gotten to her in such away. Rachel groaned and laid back down, staring at the ceiling. I shouldn’t be afraid there just animals they can’t be that hard to kill… Rachel thought in silence then sighed. “Well guess I’ll never know until I get out there and she it for myself.” She told herself still staring at the low ceiling. Rachel lurched up when she heard a knock on the door. “Enter.” She said standing next to her bunk. The door opened and one of Rachel commanding officers walked in. “I got a mission for you. Your going to be the escort for the PGRD for awhile. They need to get some samples and what ever else they need.” Rachel nodded. “How far into native territory are we going sir?” She asked with curiosity in her voice. The officer handed her a small file about the mission. “There’s everything you need to know. Get ready your team is heading out soon.” The officer said while shutting the door behind him.

"Bravo One-Alpha, advance to left flank" "copy. Bravo One-Alpha moving up"
Whirrrrrr-Clunk!whiiiiirrrrr-CLunk! -This is certainly interesting- He pivoted his body, and the massive AMP suit responded with its characteristi whirring sound. Looking out the glass of his cockpit canopy, he waited to see if he'd disturbed anything in the underbrush, then continued onwards.
Earlier..
"all right people, listen up! RDA's screwed the pooch on their little mining project, so guess who has to clean up? Bishop?"
Sergeant Major Bishop Wells stood from where he'd been leaning against the briefing room wall and looked over the rows of troops before speaking. " we do, sir!" "that's right. now, the planet is hostile, and we've gotten reports of what exactly we'll be facing when we get there. our first priority is to get the Manufacturing plant of the Hell's gate base operational; We cannot ship a lot of heavy equipment to Pandora, as it would cost us so much that the entire Army would go bankrupt, so we'll be shipping out with mostly AMP's and some APC's in addition to a Valkyrie shuttle modded for military operations...
Present
"Bravo One-Alpha in position" Bishop lifted his hands, and the AMP lifted the massive autocannon higher. Bishop glanced down at the HUD and saw nothing on thermals. "Bravo One-Alpha. Got nothing here. looks like this sector is clear." "copy" Bishop saw his CO's AMP aim up into the trees and he dropped to a tactical prone as the CO fired. The 120mm autocannon spat inches long casings out as the rounds ripped apart branches and shredded leaves. Bishop scanned the jungle, then turned to face the CO's AMP as soon as it stopped firing. "sir?" " saw something big and blue up there. thought it was a Na'vi." Bishop looked up at the shredded area, and didn;t see any blood splatter or a blue skinned corpse, and shook his head. " if there was anything, Sir, there isn't now" "yeah" The CO stood with his gun ready for a second more, then lowered it and turned to face Bishop. " lets head back..... They'll need the help." "Roger that" The CO set off back towards Hell's Gate, and Bishop hesitated a second; he could swear he was being watched. He shook his head again, then followed his CO.

WHOOSH!
Ateyo dived down and pulled back up. He was patrolling the area for any disturbances in the balance of nature. Right now he was checking on the ikran at Uhra. He watched as a young warrior tried to tame his own ikran. Ateyo remembered his capture. It was all so calm and quick, he knew he was destined to fly. The ikran had lunged at him and he quickly stepped to the side. He jumped onto its back and pushed it towards the wall. If it resisted violently it would hit the wall and hurt its self. He then easily made the tseheylu and flew off with it.
Thinking about his capture made him not think about flying. Txon (Night), named after its unnatural dark color, started flying on its own. It pulled crazy dives and flew into rocks. Mawey, Ateyo said in his mind and Txon came back under control. He slowly rose and kept an eye out for one thing, Toruk. He had always wanted to fly it, but what he really needed to do was make sure it was under control. He had to make sure it wasn't attacking anyone. He found the Toruk, and after following it, realized it was hunting and left it alone.
Ateyo landed at the Tree of Souls and reported nothing. For he also had another mission besides security, he was looking for areas large enough to shelter the Omaticaya. They had not found a new home yet. He felt bad he hadn't discovered anything. Ateyo was destined to be the next chief since the previous chief-to-be had been exiled. He wanted to prove that he was worthy of it. (This has been approved)
Now back, Ateyo decided to go exploring. He brought his bow to catch food. He ascended a large tree and looked out. He saw a very lonely structure the Sky People had named Hell's Gate. It had been deserted a long time ago, but now they were back for the same reason they had been before. Ateyo got down and sneaked over to a pond. He saw a Hexapede drinking from it. He pulled his bow and waited for it to stop. When it did, he released his grip and sent the arrow into the animal. He took his dagger and killed it and thanked it for the meal. He then proceeded to drag it back to the Tree.

Omu'ta The Na'vi Hunter.Omu'ta sat silently, hidden by the many leaves of the jungle, both large and small. Before him was his prey, a six legged deer. A creature that would provide food for the People, at the Hometree.
He was leaning down against the bark of the branch he was standing upon, raising his bow up to eye level, and slowly notching his arrow. A pin could've been heard at that moment, if it had been dropped.
Omu'ta slowly breathed in, as he pulled the arrow back, and let out a sharp exhale as he released the arrow, sending it hurtling into the six-legged beings front calf, causing it to jostle forward, but trip over.
As quick as lightning, Omu'ta made his way over to the beast, and quickly finished the beast by plunging his knife into it's heart. Once that was done, he simply looked around with his yellow eyes, before letting out a shar whistle, an Ikran responding by soaring down, almost instantly.
" Ah~ Good job S'bora. "
He said softly, as he patted his companions flank, while loading the corpse onto it's saddle. Once he strapped it on, he simply mounted the beast and took off, his eyes dancing around, looking for his Hometree. Upon spotting it, he and his Ikran dived in unison, and began to dash for their home, where a meal would be awaiting them, even if many didn't agree to Omu'ta being there. [[Because I'm lazy, and I can. xD]]

Hell's Gate, Manufacturing Plant "This is actually working" Bishop looked down from the cockpit of his AMP down at the techs working on the most vital part of the entire operation; the Manufacturing plant. Due to the insane costs of shipping massive amounts of cargo to Pandora, it had been long ago decided that instead of shipping completed equipment to Pandora, a manufacturing plant was shipped. The plant was fully capable of taking any raw material, processing it, and making either full units if the object being manufactured was small enough or as parts if it was not. Bishop recalled the giant, damaged, excavators that were almost five stories in hieght he'd seen from the windows of the combat Valkyrie, and had wondered just how such a massive piece of equipment had been shipped to Pandora. now he knew it had been made and assemble here. "the plant is working?" he asked the tech who'd spoken The masked and biosuited figure looked up at the hulking AMP and nodded. "Its surprising, actually. a lot of the base is trashed, some from the natives, I assume, and most from the effects of wildlife, but this part of the base is pretty intact. Actually, I'm not sure all the RDA personell were forced off Pandora" Bishop quirked his eyebrows up inside the sealed AMP. "why do you think that?" " When the first teams went through this section, they found the atomic fuel cells, which shut off automatiicly after a certain period of no varying usage, were all running, several terminals were running, we found food in the freezers, and when we checked the active terminals we found video records dated after RDA was forced off" Bishop tapped a switch on his AMP's console.
"Commander?" " Bishop. what is it?" " the Plant is functional, but we have a problem" " what?" " according to one of the techs, when we swept the habitation and manufacturing plant sector, there were signs that humans had been living here recently" " how recently?" Bishop waved at the tech, who'd been listening to the conversation through his earpiece, and the man cleared his throat. " sir, within the last month." "which would have been around the time that Hell's Gate sensors would have seen the transports" " I can't say for sure that that was the case, but it seems to explain why the base isn't a total wreck" "god.... Bishop" "sir?" " make damn sure that theres noone around, human or Na'vi. Capture any humans at all costs, capture or kill Na'vi if possible. prefer capture in the case of the Na'vi, but if they are too problematic, execute them. do not harm the humans at all costs" Bishop frowned, then shrugged; he had his orders. "Roger sir" " good man." the channel clicked off, and Bishop nodded at the tech before stepping off towards the Barracks and motor pool. He tapped several icons on his console before stopping in front of the armored dropmodule that housed the army AMP's and waited. " Sergeant, what is it?" Bishop looked down to see one of the RDA research techs had come up behind him and he carefully pivoted to face her, trying not too bump her with the massive suit. "Ma'am, we have indications that we are not the only people here, Ma'am" "I know that. the Na'vi-" "Its not Na'vi" "humans?" " yes. it seems that not all the RDA personell were forced to leave. some may have stayed. the Commander wants them captured, and interrogated." the scientist was silent, and looked a little shocked at his words. She glanced up at him, shook her head, then left.Bishop shook his head: He had a job to do, however unpleasant, and he would do it, or die trying.

ღ R achel Price ღ The hallways of the building were full of marines, scientist and other random officials as Rachel walked down the hallways with her pack on toward the armor. A standard RDA pistol wouldn’t cut it for this mission. She scanned her I.D. card to unlock the large steal doors. The doors opened slowly and she walked into the room and looked around it.
Hmm lets see… She thought looking through the multitude of weapons. Images flashed through her head from her dream about being attacked by a native. She walked past the low caliber weapons towards the more deadly weapons. A small smile went across Rachel’s face and she picked up a RDA standard issue rifle. She turned around towards the door with her rifle. A chill went down her spin when she saw a flash of the native against stabbing his knife down and she froze then turned back into the armory. “Just in case…” She whispered and grabbed a RDA shotgun pack. Rachel walked out of the armory towards the training area where her current team mates would met.
She strapped both of guns to her back after she made sure the safe was on them for both. She groaned and saw the sign for on the exit reminding her she needed to grabbed a oxygen mask. The masks were all line up, ready for everyone and anyone who needed one. Rachel grabbed on near the door and switched it on before walking outside. She looked around the area then back down to her file to she both the human images of her teammates and their Avatars. She closed the file once she saw a tall female Avatar leaning against what looked like a balance beam. She sighed, I got a bad feeling about this mission she thought as she made her way towards the Avatar.

X ◐ C H A R L I E X M A Y S I O N While waiting for company, Charlie relaxed underneath the bright sunlight, watching the few other Avatar drivers who were out using the course to get tuned in to their secondary bodies. Compare to previous times where the Avatar population had been in its dozens, there were only about six or seven currently running, thanks to the strict new rules in place. It was a little odd seeing the large facility grounds with so few using it, but she guessed that as more humans returned to Pandora, the numbers would eventually rise back up to their original levels.
As she was standing there, she noticed an armed woman making a beeline for her position. Her Avatar's tail twitched insinctively at the sight of the two guns belted over her back, and Charlie wondered curiously if there was really that much of a chance of something bad happening while they were out in the field. As the woman got closer, Charlie pushed herself off the beam and moved to meet the soldier.
"So," she began, "I'm guessing you're our babysitter for today. Lucky you." She tipped her head a little in the direction of the buildings across the yard. "I'm still waiting on a couple more, but once they're here, we can head on over to the 'copter and get going. I hope you're not expecting anything exciting though. It's just going to be a lot of standing around and playing with dirt." She smiled, hoping to make the soldier relax a little. "Name's Charlie Maysion," she said, holding out a large, blue hand. "And you are?"

ღ R achel Price ღ Rachel stood in front of the driver and looked up the make eye contact. “Lieutenant Coronal Rachel Price.” She respond. “And yes I’ll be your escort for the day, longer if required.” She said almost quoting the file she had already memorized from her photographic memory. Her eyes drifted towards the distance forest. “You can’t be to carefully when your dealing with the natives here.” She said without talking her eyes off the forest then shook her head slightly. “We lost a lot of men here,” Rachel said then looked back at the Avatar. “I’m not losing anyone on my watch. Just flow orders and no one will get hurt.” She said.
Rachel was never like this when off duty. She was calm and care free with life, but when I came to her job she was a totally different person and she took it dead serious like any should good marine. She looked back towards the building. “Yeah teammates always late for duty?” She asked slightly annoyed by the fact. The thought of being late to anything was unbelievable to Rachel. Back on Earth, she would have had to run the training course until she collapsed.
The standards had grown dramatically when news of the betrayal came to Earth. Many were outraged and the country began act immediately. Rachel and many other young officers were recruited. In only a few mouths more will be arriving; in a few year the population will be doubled by marines and only the scientist could have Avatar now. Originally Rachel wanted to have an Avatar but she was refused immediately by her commanding officers and was ordered to never ask again. There would be no betray by marines this time and even if the scientist lost it and decided to turn into tree huggers on them, the marines would crush them in a heart beat.

Hells Gate
"well, getting nothing. looks like if there were humans here, they are long gone" Bishop sighed at the Marine captain's words and nodded. they'd spent the last several hours sweeping the base closely, and had turned up nothing. -Well, at least we didn't turn up anything really nasty....- the captain looked up at the AMP and shook his head. "I didn't think there'd be anyone, to tell the truth." " I'd thought of that too, sir." Bishop jerked as the "call incoming" chime sounded, and he cleared his throat. " sorry, Sir, got a call." " no problem, sergeant. I'll see you later" the Marine walked off, and he tapped his earpiece. "Bishop here" "Bishop, get over to the Armory, draw some weapons." "commander?" " The Avatar guys want to head out, and I'm somewhat doubtful that a platoon of Marines will be adaquate protection. you're their babysitter, Bishop" -crap. why me?- "roger that sir." "good."
The channel clicked off, and he sighed; he'd already been in the AMP for nearly 4 hours now, and he wanted nothing more than to get out of it and head for some rack. -fat chance of that now- walking carefully amongst the many troops and crews fixing and upgrading Hells Gate, he went over to the Armory, a squat titanium alloy bunker structure nearly a hundred feet long and 20 high. the AMP access doors opened at his approach, and he stepped inside. The AMP gun bay walls were covered in massive weapons, some of them so big it would take nearly fifteen guys working together to lift one unaided. Bishop sidled over to a rack of H&K 55mm autocannon, and stepped onto a platform, and turned around. the platform retracted towards the wall, then stopped. he felt several impacts as the autoloader system removed the tank of 25mm ammo from his back and replaced it with a bigger one full of 55mm rounds. the autoloader chimed, and he grabbed one of the sleek cannons, hooked the ammo chute to the feed slot on the top, then manually racked a round into the cannon before stepping off. Bishop stepped towards the bay door, and hesitated. All AMPs carried knives as a backup weapon; it wasn;t neccessary, and the civvies complained about them, but having a weapon- any weapon- when one of Pandoras many predators came at was a good thing, yet the knife wasn't perfect. Bishop glanced over at the experimental racks of weapons, then stepped over and pulled a powered blade off and clipped it to his waist, opposite the knife. the blade itself was four feet long, yet it wasn't meant for anything other than to provide the base for the weapons real cutting edge; a six foot long force bubble only a few molecules thick. the force field tech was still experimental as hell, and it was untested in the field; it could conk out on him at any time.
-yet having a six foot long sword is a good thing, especially when it can cut through jsut about anything....- satisfied, he left the bay and went over to the Avatar complex, wondering exactly what he had done to deserve this crap assignment.

Austin,Niam,JacksonAustin or Niam as he was know by his friends came out of the main complex doors."Ugh, don't tell me I'm not ready to go out when I clearly am."He muttered to himself angrily. He had trained and logged over 100 hours preparing for this and these stupid doctors thought they could tell him he couldn't go out into the field. Niam blinked in the light and his eyes slowly adjusted to the sun. He looked around and saw Charlie. He jogged over to her and smiled."Hello Gorgeous."he said with a laugh. He hadn't exactly trained with his avatar yet. It wasn't that he didn't want to....he couldn't. Ten minutes on the planet and he had gotten into a fight with one of the marines, almost cracking his mask and killing him. Niam was wearing a plain black t-shirt that would have been a blanket on a human. On his legs were olive green cargo pants that covered most of his Tan boots."Who's the snack?"He asked jokingly as he held out his over-sized hand."Call me Austin for now."He said with a smile.

"hello guys" Bishop said in way of greeting as he thudded over to the Avatar and the female Marine talking, and looked around. Hells Gate was a beehive of activity; platoons of Marines patrolled the perimeter, armed AMP's were everywhere, several Scorpion's were flying patrol grids across the sky, and as he watched, another Valykrie, one of several the Marine transports carried, throttled up and roared off its landing strip, the glowing tail of incadescent plasma from its main engines making the air ripple and waver from the heat. the Valykrie vanished into the clouds as another one dropped through the clouds and banked, alligning its blunt nose with a landing pad as its engines went from "thrust" to "hover" mode and drifted slowly downwards, too smoothly for something nearly 300 feet in length. Bishop glanced down at the Marine and Avatar, who were still talking, then back up as the Valykrie's wheels touched the tarmac. the massive ship bobbed once, then settled, the pilot killing engines and pooping the hatch to allow a fresh batch of freshly woken Marines and technitions out. the hundred or so men had obviously been briefed on the flight on what to do, for their was no hesitation as they immediatly went to work, the Marines warily scanning the skies and the looming forest for any threats as the techs began sorting through the rubble of trashed buildings and sorted out what could be saved, and what couldn't. Bishop looked down again, and rolled his eyes; were they ever going to be done? annoyed, he clicked the AMP's powerdown switch in his left control glove, and the AMP settled into its "waiting" stance as bishop leaned his head against the back of his harness and shut his eyes; might as well get some shuteye.

✎ A ɳ i t ɑ D e l s o ɳ • • • ♥ Anything that occurred on Pandora seemed urgent, acted out with an intimidating preciseness. Anita assumed it was because most the population consisted of Marines and from previous encounters they were generally the no-nonsense type. Unfortunately her lifestyle was quite different, and as she hurried down the corridor, mask half clinging to her face and loose papers threatening to burst from a considerably overfilled notepad, she hurried through the hallways, dodging a few scientists as she passed the lab.
Finally she burst into the sunlight, careful not to let the mask slip as she stopped suddenly. Her posture was immediately relaxed as she saw scientists and what she presumed was their escorts. She gave a friendly, albeit too excited wave and flashed a smile from beneath the clear, yet bulky mask. She thought for a moment she had missed their departure but was lucky enough to catch them while it seemed they were still assembling.
Her easy stride was hardly that of any ranked marine and the papers clutched in hand and camera slung around her neck suggested she was here for a different reason. Although the news could ramble off statistics and show pictures, there was nothing like an on-the-spot reporter to sway public opinion. After all, Anita's experiences were first-hand, and from her previous Pandora reputation they had developed a booming franchise magazine, Pandora Press. It functioned as a monthly inside-view for those humans who could only dream of walking on the fabled moon and even more articles of significance made major headlines. They had gained a massive following even though they had only published two issues. Little to public knowledge, everything Anita wrote was heavily influenced by what the RDA wanted her to say, not to mention monitored. They could prop up a Na'vi corpse hugging a human and she'd take pictures and claim peace on Pandora to keep them happy. She needed this job to remain on the planet, without it she was just extra weight they weren't willing to carry, regardless of her father's technological influence and upcoming research.
That was how the reporter had landed on Pandora in the first place. Her father had significant sway in the higher ranks, but neither of them expected to be moving to another planet. As the cards had played out, however, Anita had woken from a five-year incubation to find herself a whole new land to discover. Unfortunately, that land was incredibly lethal and she couldn't go beyond their "backyard" alone without risking death. For that reason, she often leeched onto other groups who went out into the wilderness, documenting what she saw and conducting interviews that were usually brief and caused excessive amounts of editing. Marines seemed to have a natural dislike for press, but she tried to be polite about her work. Even if she sometimes got caught up in the moment. Now, working with scientists, she hoped their acceptance of her would be slightly different, as long as she stayed out of their way.
She casually approached a couple of Avatars and Marines, one of which was in an AMP suit. This was slightly inhibiting, but she didn't pay it any mind. She was sure she could pick up names eventually, her pen already clutched in hand and hovering over a note pad, and what seemed to be a small, portable mic was clipped at her hip. She was probably documenting Pandora more thoroughly than the scientists, but only for recalling what she didn't write down. Often she lost a great deal of quality if writing strictly from play-back, preferring on-the-spot thoughts to make the articles more realistic. After all, the way she (and the RDA superiors) saw Pandora was the way the public saw it. For this return mission, that was crucially important given their previous failure.
"Hey there." She greeted, hoping to be smooth about incorporating herself with the group. Sometimes people had a strong resentment to the tag-along, who carried only a pistol as her defense. She was still forced to practice it frequently, but her aim simply wasn't improving. Neither was her willingness to fire, so it didn't make sense for her to carry around a bulky weapon she wasn't going to use. A pack of already sorted supplies, practically standard around here, was slung over her shoulder and she seemed ready to go at any time.
"Anita Delson, journalist." She said briefly, not really waiting for any formalities as she flashed the small I.D. card clipped to a keychain at her waist. Most people probably recognized her, if only because she didn't seem to belong in Pandora. She felt she was the only one on the planet who had a messy room.

X ◐ C H A R L I E X M A Y S I O N After nodding in understanding at the marine's safety speech. Charlie smiled at the other female's last comment. "No..." she said, her large, cat-like eyes on the Avatar compound door. "Just not so good with early morning starts." Just then, a large body, similar to her own, could be seen exiting the building, followed closely by a human scientist in a gas mask. She glanced down at the marine beside her as she bent to pick up her pack. "Though, between you and me, I'm sure we could think of ways to wake 'em up real quick," she said, quiet enough to be just out of the approaching male Avatar's earshot.
She straightened up as he came closer, and Charlie was instantly able to recognise her comrade. "Niam, how nice of you to grace us with your presence this fine morning," she said mockingly. Looking behind him, she saw the scientist throw in hands up in disgust and start walking back to the building. "And I see they've finally let you off the leash, good to know."
Realising she had left Rachel out, she turned to introduce the 'snack', as Austin had called her. "Austin Jackson, meet Lieutenant Coronal Price. And vice versa. Rachel is going to be our-"
Her sentence was cut off at the heavy footsteps of an approaching AMP suit, and her face turned towards it with a look of confusion. "Whoa, whoa, whoa. Just hold on a second here." She glanced between the soldier in the suit and Price. "Nobody said anything about a dirty great AMP coming out with us. I can't collect delicate samples with those clod-hoppers thumping around," she said, referring to the large feet of the suit. "And how the hell are you going to fit in the helicopter?" Charlie rolled her eyes. She should have seen something like this coming.
Hearing a chirpy little greeting near the ground to her left, Charlie looked down. "Ah, Anita, there you are, just in time," she said. "Charlie Maysion. We spoke yesterday about you coming along... though I was probably a wee bit shorter then. If you'd excuse me for a moment?" The welcoming smile on the Avatar's face disappeared as her attention returned to the AMP pilot. "Look here, an AMP is just no good. If your superiors are that desperate to give us another escort, then you'll have to be walking on your own two feet."

ღ R achel Price ღ What now? Rachel groan to herself when she saw the marine walking over to the group in a AMP suit, then stepped in front, of the most likely lower ranked, Bishop. “What are you doing in an AMP suit, marine? Did you even open the mission folder?” She with more frustration in her voice. “This is just a simple sample collection, there is no need to waste any fuel and no reason to piss off the Na‘vi more with the suit.” Rachel said while looking towards the many storage area. “You need to go change so we can get going. We need to let the scientist collect as many samples as they can before sun set.” She said and turned back turned the helicopter and motioned for him to shut off, know they would have to wait awhile for Bishop to change out of his AMP suit and to get the correct gear on. Rachel looked down at her watch then back at the scientist. “If you need any other supplies you got twenty minutes tell we take off.” She said blankly and walked to the helicopter and threw her pack into the on the ‘chopper.
